We tried to get a site the night before, but it was full. No matter what time of year, it is good to make a reservation. We found a place in Flagstaff for the night and got up early to book a site. The site was full, but serene. It was not over crowded like some other campsites we had... More

My husband and I, as well as our two kids, stayed at Pine Flats for 2 nights over fall break! We reserved spot #24 online a few months before our arrival. This particular site exceeded our expectations! We walked the entire campground and thought we had definitely secured one of the better locations! Our site was on the creek side... More

We made reservations for 2 nights here and we got campsite #26. The site included a fire pit, a grill and a picnic table. Ice and wood were sold at the campsite. The place was a clean and pretty spacious, which was great! We were also very close to the creek and we could hear the water running early in... More

The only negative thing about this campsite was the bathroom. It did stink, but we knew that going in. At our site (#34) it was fine. Hand sanitizers would be good to add. Otherwise, this place was beautiful! Spacious and gorgeous surrounding. The pine trees were we awesome. Camp host was friendly and helpful. Very close to Slide Rock SP,... More

Beautiful campground in the woody area of Sedona. It's located near the most hike trails, and the place is very spacious. Good site for staying with a tent, and also a few RV spots. Make sure you make a reservation in advance!

We reserved site #36 (near the South end of the campground, on the West/Creek side). There was adequate room between sites, and we were located several sites away from the bathrooms (I gotta say, the, ah, strong ventilation is pretty disconcerting--when you sit on the pot, there is a substantial breeze on your tush. Other campgrounds in this area had... More

The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is because of the road noise. The campground is right off the highway and it's a bit noisy, but worth it! We did not make reservations and we got placed in a beautiful campsite with remarkable view of the mountain side. The Pine trees are breathtaking and the whole site was... More

We had no reservation. We had a tent in a box in the bag provided by the discount store 2500 miles away. A sleeping bag in the same bag and a pump up mattress. One match and a flash light. We had fun! It all worked. We had a choice of campsites. The wood we purchased was wet and smokey... More

We loved this campground at first. Unfortunately we were down wind from the bathrooms and while it wasn't a constant stink- it was really gross. The campsites are not spaced out- so be ready to have neighbors. Also- make reservations in advance if you want any choice in which campsite you get.

This was our very first time visiting Pine Flat campground. We usually stay at another campground nearby but wanted to try a spot further past Slide Rock. The campground was very manicured, clear of debris A designated spot for our tent....which was ok, it worked. There was a lot of space between each camp site for privacy. We liked the... More
