First, the dirt road that the website describes as "well maintained" is anything but...it truly felt dangerous. No shoulders, no railing, huge potholes. No signage. Few turn-arounds. And quite a long (more than a mile, crawling at a snail's pace) journey. Second, as we finally crossed the bridge onto the site, a van rushed up behind us. We recognized it...

We were married on this property 10 years ago, so it always holds a dear place in our hearts. But we had an unusually wonderful evening a week ago as we drove through a super busy Sedona, downtown. We were so glad to get to Angel Valley and breathe! and feel quiet. The river was especially high due to the...

A magical spiritual retreat like none other. Wow. Michael and Amayra Hamilton, the owners, are angels on earth and tend to your every need, both physical and spiritual. The vegetarian/vegan cuisine is outstanding. I cannot wait to return.

Angel Valley is like a piece of Paradise.Beautiful, relaxing, great organic food,& the owners are the best. The cabin I stayed in with the Skylight was fantastic. The energy of the Vortexes are different & unique. I was fortunate to have communication with some of the Archangels & received a gift from one of them.Totally amazing. Truly, the presence of God...

We stayed there this february, 2015. The resort is like no other. It has numerous labyrinths, vortex location and "angel sites." Even if you don't believe in the power of these areas, the resort is surrounded by beautiful magical mountains, which are available for quiet solitary hiking right from the resort. It is a restful place and after a few...

This was a really interesting stay. The area has a wonderful and unique vibe that is truely worth visiting. if you are looking for somewhere that you can reconnect then this is a great place. Our cabin was lovely however there were some things that wern't up to scratch and made the stay not worth the money we paid. Our...

I have to say, I originally found Angel Valley for a good friend, but I got so much out of the whole experience. I had been to Sedona, plenty of times, however this was the first time I ever really felt like I understood what Sedona is: Beauty, energy and nature. If you want a tourist experience- stay in downtown...

I went on a personal retreat back in November and had such a wonderful, healing experience that I dragged my husband back after Christmas. It is definitely a very unique place and you never know what will happen as each person that is there was drawn to the place for a purpose. I have a favorite room that I stay...

Although not by any means the most pleasurable. In fact felt slightly ill at ease. Consider myself on the spiritual journey but this had the feel of the cultish. I found greater peace of mind and revelations at other sites on our US trip. The log cabins are lovely and ours was very clean apart from someone else juice bottle...

A very unpleasant stay. 7 live scorpios inside the lodge and lots of other bugs. Bad customer service. Beautiful location which attracted us in the first place became rather unnoticeable after what happened. Not only my credit card was overcharged from the start without informing me, but the lodge in Angel Valley had a serious bug infestation, including numerous large...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
On an artistic retreat or spiritual sojourn? You’ll find your way here at Angel Valley Sedona. Our fantastic retreat location is nestled in a quaint valley with red rock views surrounded by flowing creek water, large labyrinths, medicine wheels, and groomed walking paths. Peace and serenity exists at Angel Valley Sedona. We have long wondered whether to call this place a sanctuary, a spiritual refuge, a spiritual retreat, or a temple; but it is simply a place where Sedona's Angels dwell, assisting those who connect with them. Many have come to visit them, many have seen them, many have felt them, many have talked with them, and many have come simply to be among them. Some have come who are healers, some come to be healed, and some come and do not know why, only that they are simply guided to come. It is a place for the blessings of Angels. Our Rooms include delightfully appointed cottages, guest houses, and rooms all steps from the creek side, and a short walk to our swimming holes. We have several pure wells to drink from on our water walk all complete with images from world famous Dr. Masaru Emoto’s Lab. Entertain our Angel Walk to several vortex sites on property or our Chakra walk. There’s plenty of time to experience Angel Valley’s offerings and Self-Guided experiences. Our onsite Energy and massage practitioners will assist you to slow down and find your peaceful center or guide your many spiritual and local interests. ... more   less

“Try and plan your holiday around the full moon- it was amazing to walk the labyrinth under the moonlight. Invest in a vortex guided walk- was one of the most amazing experiences ever. They have wi fi in the rooms (which actually works great)- cell phone service is spotty.”

“If you aren't a "camper" type of person then choose AA Michael or AA Ariel rooms so you have your own bathroom. The less expensive cottages have bathrooms that are a 1-2 minute walk from your cabin. The bathrooms are very nice though.”
