My daughter and I were on a cross country road trip to celebrate her graduating college and I booked the Sunset Chateau for our stay in Sedona after reading the reviews. Boy am I glad I did. This place is fantastic! The room was well appointed and beautifully decorated with artwork and furnishings. The place was spotless and cozy. The beds were comfortable and everything was updated. And the view from our room was unbelievable (see picture)! The inner courtyard was spectacular. Everywhere you walked there were flowers, metal sculptures, water features, fire tables, and comfortable sitting areas. It was stunning! The salt pool was refreshing after a hike too. The cafe where breakfast was served was so nice and the breakfast was amazing. We tried the daily specials and they were so flavorful. The owner/staff stopped at our table and gave excellent suggestions for our morning hike (we saw a roadrunner during it!). The Sunset Chateau was conveniently located for hiking the airport mesa loop and easy to get in and out of. Their thoughtful attention to detail was truly amazing. The Sunset Chateau truly was a magical place that I cannot recommend enough. I will be back!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. Our room (#9) was very well appointed and extremely comfortable. Staying at this B &B was so much better than staying at a hotel. The included made to order breakfast each day was a great way to start each day. The views from the dining room were exceptional. It was too cold to sit outside but we didn't mind the views from inside. The staff was very helpful and gave great recommendations on things to do. They use the open key app so you can enter/exit your room with your phone and not have to look for the room key. It was quite easy to use. The bed was extremely comfortable and the double sink in the bathroom was a nice plus. A full length mirror would have been nice since the mirrors over the sinks were up high and for shorter people like myself it was a little challenging. We loved the thick plush towels which were changed every day. There are TVs in the family room and bedroom. Both have netflix, amazon prime and other apps available so just make sure you bring your password so you can log in. The little kitchenette was nice. It was fully stocked with a mini fridge. I'm not sure how the dishes were washed since there was no dishwasher in our unit but I assumed that housekeeping took away the dirty dishes and replaced with clean ones. The sofa was very comfortable and the faux fireplace was a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again.

We decided to spend the day in Sedona for my wife’s birthday. Since we are still dealing with the coronavirus, we had originally planned to do an afternoon hike then a picnic to celebrate the day and drive back to Phoenix in the evening. As we fell into the beauty and presence of our surroundings, we decided maybe we’ll stay the night. We have stayed at the Sunset Chateau before and have had some magical memories there. So, it was an easy decision to call them first. They had plenty of availability and we were able to get a nice upgrade on our room given a very low occupancy at the time. We were a bit apprehensive about the process given the virus, but our concerns were quickly dispelled as we experienced and saw good practices. The team at the hotel did a nice job managing things and working to support current health guidelines and regulations without making it feel uncomfortable. Janet, the owner of the hotel, was a delightful host from the get go. We quickly got reacquainted with her, and she efficiently got us checked in and to our room. We were blessed to get upgraded to one of the two bedroom suites and they are amazing. The views alone are worth the cost. The rooms are so perfectly appointed and decorated. Everything you need for a short stay or a long one with all the amenities of a home more than a hotel. The pictures on the website do a good job providing a perspective of the rooms and views, but they don’t do them justice. The hotel, the grounds, and the views are all breathtaking. The resort includes a large variety of nice sitting areas throughout an amazingly well manicured and maintained grounds. The combination of Southwest, Native and Spiritual décor combined with the natural beauty of the environment creates the perfect atmosphere for an adventure in beautiful Sedona. With fire pits, a pool and jacuzzi, the resort is a perfect retreat before and after a day wandering the natural surroundings. Throw in one of the best breakfasts we’ve had in some time and a very pleasant conversation with Janet’s son and the General Manager of the property. Jean, and you have the recipe for a perfect stay in Sedona. It was quite literally a heavenly stay that was the perfect retreat and spiritual restoration after a long-period of being largely stuck at home. Our sincere thanks to the entire team at the Sunset Chateau for making our stay and Diana’s birthday so much more special than we had originally planned.
