I can't add much to what already has already been said about this beautiful B&B nestled at the foot of Bell Rock in Oak Creek outside of Sedona.
We stayed a week in the Yavapai room on the first floor with the vista of the Bell Rock staring at us like a postcard. When the sun hit the rocks at sunset you just stared in amazement. Breakfasts were wonderful - my wife is gluten-free and they were able to accommodate her needs. Ever morning's meal was a different delight - poached fruit, pumpkin french toast, fritattas and more. Marge was a terrific and creative chef. Side trips to Jerome, the Grand Canyon, the Verde Canyon railroad and Montuzema Castle plus a Pink Jeep tour through the Broken Arrow trail made this the most memorable vacation we've ever had. The nice little touches in the room along with the friendly staff made our stay peaceful after a busy day. One thing we found out the hard way is that everything closes up during the week at 9 PM, so if you're late eaters be aware of that (of course we had to work our meals around watching the Red Sox win the World Series - we had that going for us!). Marge was nice enough to leave us some scones for our trip to the Grand Canyon since we had to leave before Breakfast. Whitney was a wonderful host and the T-shirt gift at the end was a nice touch. This is definitely worth the price! We'd definitely stay here again if we ever come back to this oasis in the middle of the Arizona desert.

Find little to fault with this B&B. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Nothing too much trouble, even did some laundry for us which was really appreciated during our long trip in the US.
The views from the room (fairly small but fine for two people) were as described and a delight first thing in the morning.
Breakfast was made fresh each morning (2 night stay) and served on terrace with gorgeous views.
Really was a home from home.
Sedona is only a 15/20 min drive and the hiking trails nearby were even closer.
A real find , and worth the money if only staying in area for a few nights.

My wife and I stayed in the Kokopelli room for four nights. Great views and nice private balcony. The breakfasts are first class. The B & B is in a residential area so is super quiet and private. Will be our place to stay when we do our Sedona visits from now on.

We celebrated our 50th anniversary at this lovely, outstanding B&B. Upon arrival we found rose petals meticulously placed on our bed. We awoke to stunning views of Bell Rock. Awoke unexpectedly at 2 am to be rewarded with a sky filled with more stars than we've ever seen back East. I would go there for the breakfasts alone -- they were that good! When we had to leave early on two days to go to Antelope Slot Canyon and Grand Canyon, we were offered freshly baked treats to take with us. Maria helped our daughters arrange a surprise dinner for us. All the staff were warm and friendly. We got to pick a "souvenir" t-shirt when it was time to leave. Nice touch. Highly recommended!

Came to AZ to celebrate milestone Birthday with senior parents. Had wonderful stay with so many special touches (delicious treats in the evening, t-shirt when we departed, snacks). Margie was so welcoming and helped with area recommendations. Great chef! Carrie was wonderful with our gourmet breakfasts each morning. Loved hearing about Sedona from both of them. After a week in AZ with normal hotels, this is where we splurged and it was worth it. Parents enjoyed relaxing one day at the Penrose and having some down time. Highly recommend The Penrose for the location, amazing views, and detail to attention.
