We stayed here for a week with 2 adults and 3 kids. This hotel has many great features: the staff is incredible; helpful and kind. The suite room allowed all of us to be in one room (although it was tight). The pool area was great and we enjoyed it several times. The grounds were beautiful. We loved our outdoor patio. The gym was very nice! The location is great.
Yes, it’s somewhat outdated and near an airport but those things didn’t bother us too much. I did need to do laundry and was very disappointed that there is only one washer and dryer for the whole property. I had to wait for the washer because someone else was using it. The indoor restaurant was closed most days from after breakfast to 4:00; that was kind of a bummer. It was also a bummer that our room couldn’t be cleaned but we knew that wasn’t their fault and they were super attentive anytime we needed something.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again! We were grateful for a great place to stay for our family vacation :).

As others note, this property is well overdue for a renovation, so if you're coming here for your first covid getaway, it'll be a letdown sprinkled with pleasant suprises. I've stayed here 3-4 times in the last 10 years; its certainly not my top choice but the rates are very fair and the grounds, staff and location are all good.

Staff is friendly, helpful and quick. They do offer a hot, made to order breakfast but its certainly not a restaurant experience as its ordered/served in the large, lobby bar. Pool is heated though I didn't use it; lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Golf course abuts the property and makes for a lovely walk. Wifi, shower, bed all good. Everything in the room works fine, and everything here was clean and serviceable. Its just tired. And its in the final approach for the busy Scottsdale private jet airport.

But it was also at least $200/night less than the other full-service Marriott and other brand-name properties nearby during the busy Spring Training season. So I'm not complaining.

I usually stay at another hotel, but this was close to the condo that my friend was renting. The doormen/valets were very friendly and helpful. Upon the arrival I though it seemed like a business hotel. It ended up being great for a group of my friends. The rooms were clean and there was a little sitting room which was nice. Housekeeping did a nice job cleaning our room. There were nice views of the golf course and there is a nice bar. Summer was the daytime waitress/bartender and she was amazing. The other staff working in the restaurant were fantastic too. Eustace was an excellent bartender Saturday evening.

We had the pool area practically to ourselves and it was nice because there weren’t kids running around! It was quiet and relaxing. It was easy to Uber to nearby restaurants and the location was great.

Friday night the women at the front desk were super helpful and we were able to purchase snacks from the little store. Checkout was easy and the gentlemen at the front desk divided the bill for us. This was not a resort hotel with a spa, but it’s close to a lot of great places in Scottsdale and it has a nice pool and outdoor seating.

We normally stay at a different Marriott resort in the area but it was 3 times the normal price so we thought we’d try a different Marriott this visit. We were told it was similar, and just as nice, but this hotel is outdated and rundown. While it’s nice to have a suite room, this one came with a stained couch and what looks like fingernail clippings on the floor next to the bed. Our room is what feels like a mile away from the lobby, the automatic doors don’t work, you could hang meat in the hallway it’s so cold and no bottled water in the room. It has a self park lot, which I think was stated $15/day on the website, but apparently has been increased to $22/day, and the new gates haven’t been working the majority of the time we’ve been here. Cars getting stuck in the lot, gates won’t open, etc. This morning the printers weren’t working either when I went down for coffee. While the location is good, it just seems like this property could really use an overhaul if you’re going to expect to command the prices you ask. The staff I’ve encountered have been nice, and helpful, but I’m very disappointed in Marriott on this stay and expected far more for almost $400+ a day.

We stayed here for two nights. There was a problem with check in when our room was not available till 4pm despite Marriott Bonvoy emailing me the day before to select a check time (I selected 2pm)! This caused unnecessary frustration.

Our original room had a view over the car park and the front desk agent, Zain, was excellent in reassigning us a room with a very decent view instead. This was much appreciated. Always ask.

Other aspects of the service were below par however. I had to wait over 30 minutes for an ironing board to be delivered to the room, to replace a ridiculous (and IMHO, dangerous) table top model which collapsed each time I tried to use it. The UHT pots of milk in the room had also gone off and I needed to order more.

We wanted to switch off the aircon in the room at night, partly on account of it being very noisy and also that it blows cold air in your face in bed (for some reason the compressor is in the bedroom part of the suite, not the lounge part). However we could not switch this off (there isn't an off switch). The maintenance man suggested we simply set the thermostat as high as possible to prevent it coming on. A bit weird.

So all in, a curate's egg - some parts excellent others well below expectation. Tip is to avoid a room in the north wing - it looks over the car park but to ask for a room in the west or south wings which look over the golf course and pool area.

Notwithstanding the above, the room was very comfortable if in need of updating - I understand this is planned for summer 2023 throughout the hotel. The clientele at these places is however of a certain age and would probably be content with the eighties decor for the present.

The common areas of the hotel were, as you'd expect, of a high standard including the pool area.

So overall, a mixed bag.

Stayed here for a corporate event and extended my stay after. The food was above average for massive catered buffets and the service was terrific throughout the week. I loved the huge patio to catch some sun while grabbing breakfast in the morning or sneaking out for an afternoon break. Pool was great and not too crowded on weekends. Only taking off a star because you have to call daily for housekeeping and many days the room still wasn’t serviced by 6pm. I would skip or just ask for clean towels out of frustration. My favorite part had to be the shuttle guys- they transported us back and forth all week and were super friendly and prompt- better than Uber!!

The hotel is in beautiful location, 5 minutes drive from McDowell Mountains Preserve with plenty of hiking trails to choose from. We were warmly greeted and the reception desk employee has changed our room from from the first to the second floor per my request.

Gated parking is $20 per day.

Our suite had a big living room, a bedroom and a nice bathroom, which was a little dated, but sparkling clean (a walk-in shower and a separate bathtub was a big plus).

The $30 nightly food and beverage credit included in the $30 daily resort fee - very good deal!

The resort fee also includes one time perk of two additional glasses of house wine or beer, 2 tickets to the Musical Instruments Museum, daily bike rental and the shuttle to the attractions within the five miles radius (the latter two we don’t need). Worth every penny.

Friendly front desk service and valet too. Most of my time for my one night stay was spent at the fabulous and relaxing pool. Lots of chairs and umbrellas plus they provide beach towels for the guests. The fitness center is located on the same level and you can refill your water bottles and use the rest rooms.
Food at the restaurants was just ok but the service was fast and friendly.
Quick drive from the Phoenix Airport.

My wife and I spent four days at this hotel. The manager Jason is an outstanding person and he took very good care of us when housekeeping dropped the ball at the beginning of our stay. The hotel has nice views, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel is due for an upgrade, but it is still nice. The hotel is kind of pricey in the spring, but hotel prices have really shot up everywhere.

This hotel is hidden away near the 101 and alongside the TPC Champions golf course. There is little nearby but in less than 10 minutes drive you are on Scottsdale road near everything you need. The hotel is on the flight path for Scottsdale airport so it can be a little noisy depending on the time of day and landing direction. The service is excellent. The included Marriott Elite breakfast was outstanding with a full menu choice each morning. Our two room suite was quite spacious and very comfortable.
