I was extremely surprised how great and convenient this hotel is. It’s all suites, and they are the large 2-roomed ones with locking French doors, separating the bedroom and living area. The bathroom is shared between both the living room and bedroom, with sectioned off doors for more privacy, which is perfect for a family (adults in one room) and kinds in another, without having to bother each other. Decor was modern and refreshed, without losing the Southwest, Arizona thematics. This is definitely well-appealing for out of state tourists. Check-in with Angelo was efficient and warm. He offered me chilled water and went through property amenities. He even suggested items on the hotels’ dining menu. Angelo was the perfect start to my stay, Convenience is awesome with this hotel, being walking distance to both Scottsdale Old Town, Riverfront, and major malls like Fashion Square. We booked this at short notice after a dreadful experience at a nearby hotel. What a wonderful change - the staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was excellent and the whole feeling refreshed and reinvigorated our stay in Scottsdale. Highly recommend this hotel.

This was my first time to Scottsdale - and my first stay at a Marriot in a while. Yes, while the rooms may be a tad dated (prices also reflect that), I challenge you to find a better STAFF, location, value for a stay in that area. I appreciate solid service and the front desk was VERY helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. They helped with check in, check out, planning, water, concierge. If you are staying specifically in old town, this is a fantastic option! Clean...walked to shopping, diego pop Plus other hot spots!

My family and I needed a hotel last minute and was able to book our hotel room quickly. The ladies at the front desk Kristy, Brittany , and Tia were very helpful and efficient at their jobs. We had a great stay at the old town Scottsdale Marriott. The hotel bar was great and we loved sitting outside in the courtyard having cocktails. The front desk was so accommodating and let us check-in 4 hours early which was wonderful after a morning flight They’re currently doing work on the pool but offered alternative 3 min walk away which also has full bar and was great. We spent whole afternoon there and it was lovely. All & all would recommend. We didn’t bring car because it’s $$$ if you do though. But Ubers/Lyfts are so easy from the hotel, and picked up one on our checkout day to explore Grand Canyon/Sedona which saved us over $200

I've stayed at this hotel around a half dozen times in the past 12-18 months, and I really like it. It's not quite grand and elegant, but it is a step up from most base level Marriott properites. All the rooms are spacious, comfortable, quiet, and well-maintained. The restaurant is also fantastic, although the menu is a bit limited. Still, when I'm here on business I rarely go out because the food at the hotel is great and it's not the overcrowded madhouse of a "scene" that everything else in downtown Scottsdale seems to be these days. I would recommend and return.

I have stayed here several times and nothing has changed which is mostly good. Agree that the rooms need a refresh, nothing has changed in all the years I have been here but it is well kept and in excellent condition. The staff is great, super friendly and helpful, and many have been here for years. Skyler and Alvina were particularly helpful. Finally a Marriott that recognizes Platinum status and treats guests nicely. Also first Marriott in a long time with amazing food. Best breakfast buffet I have had at a Marriott. Everything is fresh and well seasoned, prepared with care, not the powdered egg mix that I have encountered at so many Marriotts. Quiet hotel, great location. Disappointed that the pool was closed for renovation but can't wait to see the improvements.

This is our second time we've visited here and we liked it even better this visit. Check in is a little interesting because all the signs out front say you can't park there...so what do you do? We went ahead and parked our car, but when we got to the front desk they said we should have parked out front to check in. Then why those signs? Regardless, our room was awesome on the 8th floor and everything was in great condition. Our bed was wonderful and we both slept great. We love getting a drink at the bar and then sitting by the fire in the evening. Great atmosphere! We are already looking forward to coming back!

The Scottsdale Marriott Old Town is undergoing a renovation. The room was quiet and clean. The room needed a refresh but hotel is working on more important parts of the hotel like the garage and pool deck. I didn’t hear any construction noise but I was on a high floor. The bar was nice spot for a drink and they had live music. Great area for walking to bars and restaurants. Overall a good stay and I will probably stay again on my next trip to the Phoenix area.

This hotel isn’t the quality I would expect as a Marriott hotel. The hotel decor and my room were old and worn. I stayed here during the week and there was some type of conference going on, which was clearly the hotel management’s priority. I had just completed a grueling conference in Scottsdale and was staying a couple nights in Old Town to rest up before flying back across the country. Unfortunately starting at 9pm there was a loud group in the courtyard my room was overlooking. I called the front desk at 9:30 and was told that the courtyard shuts down when the bar closed at 11:00pm. I turned my noise machine on high and tried to fall asleep but I could still hear loud talking and laughing. I called the desk again explaining that my stay at the hotel mattered just as much as the people’s in the courtyard and that it’s ridiculous that they were being so inconsiderate. I asked for a manager who eventually returned my call at 10:15. He reiterated that the courtyard closed “In a few minutes” at 11:00 and that he would ask the group to quiet down. There was no change. I decided that it was useless at this point to speak to the manager . This is particularly of note at this location since the building wraps around the courtyard and many rooms overlook it. There’s no reason for hotel patrons to be kept up until 11pm just for a group of bar patrons.…
