Stayed here in mid April for a birthday celebration. Location is good as you can walk around old Scottsdale and you are close to the mall. Rooms need updating badly Pool area could use some renovations. Concrete was chipping away. Would love to see drink/food service at the pool, rather than having to go inside across the lobby to order anything. Staff were friendly.
This hotel is perfectly located on the corner of 3rd Street and Scottsdale Road with shops and restaurants within walking distance. Our room was spacious, well-maintained and clean. Love the floor plan with a huge bedroom and a living room, both with TVs. We were on the 5th floor overlooking Scottsdale Road, which was great because we would have missed the Parada Del Sol without spotting the dancing horses from our room. We had several interactions with the front desk staff. Everyone was so courteous and willing to help us with whatever we needed. We will be coming back soon so we can enjoy the patios and pools. (Too cold right now.)
We arrived early and were able to check in then, which was a plus. Location was also a plus. The bartender on duty was the very nice also Hotel is shaped like a V, with some rooms facing the courtyard. Our room was facing the court yard which the night we stayed was hosting an event in the outdoor court yard. The noise from the courtyard event last well past 12:30AM. We had an early flight the next day and despite the still going on fell asleep at !2:50AM. This was the end of a seven day trip, having stayed at several Fairfields, and a Courtyard, all of which were a better experience than this hotel. Upon checkout, no one asked how our stay was,
The Scottsdale Marriott Old Town is located in a great area within walking distance to many restaurants and bars. I stayed at the hotel for a business meeting and it has everything you need with oversize rooms. The hotel could use an update, but is a good option if you want to be in this part of Phoenix.
Have stayed here a couple of times & it’s always a good solid hotel in a great location. Rooms are very spacious, but getting dated. They could use a better breakfast option than the expensive buffet. Parking is underground & $25/day. Has a nice indoor seating area & small bar, and also has great outdoor seating with fire pits. They also can open up the wall so it becomes one area transitioning to outside. The staff was very friendly, especially Bailey at the front desk & Kevin at the bar.
My wife and I stayed at this hotel in the heart of old town scottsdale. It was expensive as this was peak time of the year. Rooms were nice, suites mini balconies. Staff was very accomodating. So close to the action, tons of places to eat and wonderful galaries just a few blocks away. The pool was nice and jacuzzi hot. We managed to get some sunshine on us every day which was great. The only thing that bothered me was that there is no longer free coffee in the lobby and the they charged more than double the starbucks rate for their in house starbucks. There is free coffee in the room that was not too bad. On Thursday nights they have all the galeries open until 9PM. So fun, watched great artists, listened to excellent country music, some line dancing outside and many galeries were giving free glasses of wine, some had some finger foods too. Each week there is a different theme, this week was western.…
I stayed here during a work trip, and I was impressed with the staff from the moment I walked in. The personnel at the front desk were so helpful and friendly from beginning to end. I was very comfortable in my 5th floor suite and it was very quiet during the entire stay. I enjoyed leaving my sliding door open to hear the fountain at the main entrance. The bathroom was stocked with makeup wipes (thank you!), face wash AND body wash - how perfect! I enjoyed a gorgeous arugula salad from the in-room dining service, and the catered meals during the work event were satisfying as well. The jacuzzi was also a highlight - the jets were STRONG! It felt amazing after a busy day. The pool area was so quiet too - very peaceful. Finally, the location was absolutely ideal: we were walking distance from great restaurants, souvenir shops and bars. We had so much fun in Old Town!…
Stayed 4 nites at this wonderful hotel. It has a great location near lots of restaurants and entertainment. The closest CVS is half a mile away, closest grocery store is one mile and it is right next door to a bank One nice perk is that you can order up a golf cart service to drive you within 2 miles of the hotel to run an errand. The hotel will send it over for you....pretty convenient. Breakfast buffet is good and they have a really good exercise room. I wish they had a stability ball in there to stretch on. As a Titanium member I really appreciate getting an upgrade to a two double bedded suite. I didn't expect it but it was definitely appreciated. Thank you very much. Maybe the best thing about this hotel though is the service. They are nice as can be at this hotel. I particularly enjoyed Cassandra in the restaurant and Kiya at the front desk. Very kind and very social. They represent the Marriott ethos of quality service. Mr Marriott would feel good knowing that people like them work for his company.…
We are on the seventh floor and it feels like there is a concert right outside our room. Not a hotel if you want a peaceful night sleep. The guy at the front desk was useless.. he said it’s a party area. But actually it’s not. I can’t wait to leave.
The service is good but the “Store” had nothing available. No cookies s, chips or snacks. I have been here many times before But we were disappointed this time. The only good is at the restaurant. Not good. But the flat bread at the bar was all good,
