Front office agents, evening lounge wait staff and breakfast attendants were pleasant and most helpful. Nicely done! Room safe needed attention, engineer addressed promptly. Elevators near the breakfast area OOO, stairs nearby. All in all an outstanding visit. This property is a must return for my wife & me!

I checked in in the middle of the night, after a bad experience at another hotel in the area that claims to be 4 stars. George H on the reception was very helpful, kind, and patient with me while I was sorting out a tricky situation. The suites are great. I read some people saying they're dated, and it's true that the furniture isn't new DESIGN. However, the furniture and premises are in perfect conditions, and do not look used, worn, or in poor condition at all. Everything is clean and in perfect condition. It just isn't flashy minimalist 2021 design, but this place is clean and everything is in excellent condition, which to me is more important than anything else. The paint and wallpaper are fresh, and no scuffs, the sheets and towels were fresh and clean, and the bed is comfortable, and it is worth noting that the bathrooms are completely new fitouts. If you like suites, this is great. The apartment has a little balcony, which is great if you value being able to open the window and get fresh air in. The aircon works perfectly, as does the little fridge, and there are two tables/desks. The internet is flawless. The courtyards have fountains, a few pools, nice landscaping, games, and big comfy couches to sit on. The gym is TOP NOTCH, and I do mean GYM and not a little Fitness Centre like most hotels. The outdoor area is really a pleasure and has a great vibe. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and am kind of disappointed to be leaving! Lastly, I want to call out the service. Every single employee (even the non-customer service roles like landscapers and cleaners) have a smile on, are friendly and accommodating, and the place is noticeably well-staffed. I really got the impression that people enjoy working here. I would appreciate the management taking note of George H's fantastic attitude, professionalism, and helpfulness in general throughout my stay. George is exactly the kind of professional you want on your front desk, representing your hotel and your brand.

We drove to Scottsdale from California to get away and enjoy the fact that businesses were opening up and we wanted out of the house. We stayed at the Embassy Suites which put is pretty much down the street from Old Town Scottsdale so it is in a great location. The hotel is definitely converted from something else at one point but the rooms were updated and nice. The check in was great, the staff were friendly and very helpful getting us and our luggage to our room. The problems started after we checked in. The bath tub was very dirty so my wife called and the cleaning staff took care of it promptly. We decided that we would enjoy the hot day out by the pool to cool down when we noticed that we didn't have any bath towels. We called and the house keeping staff took care of it immediately. My wife went out to the lobby to get some more bottled water for the mini fridge and when she returned, she could not get back into the room. She walked back down there to let staff know that our keys were not working. They sent a repair person out who finally discovered that the batteries in the card reader on the door were dead and thus replaced them. In the morning, there was about a two inch cockroach on our floor in front of the mini fridge which I picked up with tissue and flushed him down the camode. The next morning, there were ants all over our bathroom floor and my wife and I smashed and cleaned up. I get that people are just getting opened and finding their new normal with the policies it takes to open. But, with the exception of the cockroach and ants, this stuff all happened in the first hour and a half of being checked in. I think they can do better for their guests!
