We stayed here one night while on a work trip. We had a 3:15 am get up for a 5:30 departure at SDL airport. I wanted to be well rested for my flying job. I was able to get the rest I needed along with a nice meal while here. The bed was clean and comfortable. I'd gladly stay here again if possible next time I'm in the area. I just wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the facility.

Hotel's Favorite
The Embassy Suites is our go to place in the Phoenix area. Every room is a two room suite with nice decor. Even during Covid-19 the hotel is offering a breakfast buffet (with a more limited menu that normal) with hot food items that are plated by the staff. There is even an evening happy hour with packaged snacks. The cleaning protocols are awesome. They are doing a great job of safety for their staff and their guest.

Honestly, I thought the website photos were a bit misleading. The hotel looked brand new or at least renovated but upon arrival it looks very old and tired. The elevators are incredibly slow, the buttons don't light up, and the side door to the lobby doesn't close all the way and appears that it has no way of locking. It doesn't look like there is any way to truly keep this property secure. Breakfast was good and the room was spacious, very comfortable bed. Requested a pack n play ahead of time and it was not there when we arrived after 4pm. The one brought to us was very wobbly, the side rails wouldn't lock and it should be replaced. The hot tub was nice. Overall, I'm just wondering why this is referred to as a resort because it doesn't look like a resort to me. Lovely views of Camelback mountain. Fridge is very small, but appears to be in all Embassy Suites. The wet bar drain wouldn't drain. Also, the lamps next to the bed, the usb charging ports didn't work.

Our bedroom and bathroom vents were dirty. One vent in hall was loose so my husband tightened it. There was one server/bartender at complimentary reception and the line at one point was 20 people long. Snacks were picked over. We appreciated extra blanket but it had seen better days. Room felt old and in need of cleaned vents and updates. Breakfast was good. Staffing was good at breakfast. Room was quiet. When I checked out, the man did not ask “How was your stay?” He just asked for my room number and said “Safe travels.” We expected so much more from an Embassy Suites and could have stayed many other places for the price. We chose to chalk it up to a bad choice and focus on making memories for our family.

Selected this location primarily due to proximity to Scottsdale attractions without being in Old Town. It was quiet enough, despite being on busy roads. But the room itself was very run down and dingy. Mold on vents, dirty towels, and just generally in need of an update or repairs. Front desk staff was friendly at attentive, and requests for extra items in room from housekeeping were met quickly.
