Excellent location. Walking distance to Old Town shopping and restaurants. Service from valet to front desk to dining flawless. Property grounds well maintained with two ice pools. Room was very comfortable. Enjoyed dinner and breakfast. Recommend highly and will return.
I highly recommend this place to stay. The place was nice and new, with a retro vibe. The food was excellent! Also, the location was great!!! Close to restaurants and bars! I would definitely recommend this place.
Mid century architecture + amazing staff + great location = awesome vacation. Booked a six day stay at the Hotel Valley Ho (for my 2 year delayed 50th birthday) and I am still thinking about what a wonderful time I had at this property. From the time we arrived, the entire staff (valets, front desk, pool attendants, Zuzu servers and housekeeping) were not only professional but some of the most friendliest folks I've ever encountered while staying at a hotel. Our room was awesome - decorated in mid-century glam! Love the full sized shampoo, liquid soap, conditioner and lotion. The pools were fantastic with attentive servers and great bartenders. The signature restaurant Zuzu was our go to for breakfast every morning with the food being stellar along with the service. We also had drinks at the bar before going out for the evening. Both pools were a heavenly oasis. Keep in mind that one of the pools (OH pool) can be quite the party scene on Saturday and Sundays, (not a criticism at all - I knew when I booked that it would be a party scene) and there is a quiet pool (OHASIS) that makes for a nice alternative if you're not into the crowds. Great location near old Scottsdale - walking was not an issue (other than the 100+ degree heat, but c'mon it's Scottsdale in June!) Thank you Hotel Valley Ho for making my 52nd birthday one I'll never forget. To the entire staff - you are all wonderful - keep up the great work and we'll be back!…
Be prepared to spend extra money on every little thing, the hotel is cute and in a great locations, plenty of shopping and eating spots, just wasn't a fan of a fully stock fridge with things and unable to use it for personal use, our bed seemed broken and was noisy, if you like something different this is a great place to check out, but expect Vegas style amenities.
Stayed at Hotel Valley Ho for a girls weekend. Staff was extremely nice and helpful from the moment of our arrival. Bell service was so nice and helpful, concierge was able to accommodate both our early check in and late check out. DJ at the pool was a lot of fun (not recommended for those looking for a quiet weekend). Food was great and guest rooms were clean and comfortable. Local and close to downtown bars and restaurants.
This hotel is a true gem and historic landmark. Our family had a great time at the pool and loved the live DJs! Service was fantastic at every step and the hotel is just beautiful. Next time we are in Scottsdale, we will certainly come back to the Valley Ho!
This hotel is beautiful, we stayed two nights and were extremely satisfied. The hotel staff is super friendly and all the amenities included were great. I definitely recommend staying here! The valet was great and super fast when needed.
Stayed at Valley Ho several times over 3 years. Staff does an excellent job throughout the hotel. A great property which excels at everything from cleanliness to check in to groundskeeping. Seems like people really care.
We stayed here for a group event in April 2022. Liked the retro vibe, everything was clearly redone not too long ago. Food in the restaurant was a bit expensive but good. The rooms were nice, although the beds were strangely tiny - two people really don't fit in the bed in the two bed rooms. Like, it was a smidge bigger than a twin, so just be aware. Most rooms have a patio/balcony which is nice - but ask first because ours looked out on a construction site. For businesses or events, they do have some conference facilities, and nice rooftop and lawn areas you can rent. Staff was generally professional and nice. There's a teeny store with some red bull, wine and chips, which gets it done in a pinch. Not a lot of indoor common areas to hang out in. Basically just the lobby which is small. Easy walk to downtown Scottsdale if you like looking at old buildings and art galleries and shops with dreamcatchers. So here's my issue - the pool people. The whole pool thing appears to be outsourced to another company. They should rethink that. We rented cabanas at an OUTRAGEOUS price. Got there, day 1, realized we didn't want the full on cabana for day 3, they absolutely refused to change it. 500 bucks. Um, yeah I am a sucker. To sit in a cinderblock cell and be bombarded with REALLY loud music all day long. It was literally the most annoying thing. They have TVs in them; you can't change the channel and there's no sound. What is the point? And again, the music...ugh. It is like full blast and no respite. I think they want a party vibe but you literally could not converse. It was miserable and NOT relaxing. If you want to reserve a space at the pool rather than just score a couple of lounge chairs, the day beds are probably smarter because you will NOT want to be there all day. And then they close at night - which is when you'd want to be out there due to the heat. Whatever on the pool thing. You could tell by the way the front desk people reacted that they are used to complaints about it and are powerless to do anything. Fail. I am actually going back in spite of that because I think it's a decent place and reasonably located and priced for a business offsite, so I'll be there again in June with my team. ...But we won't be headed to the pool.…
You can tell this place was built 50 or more years ago by the layout. Lots of separate building some of which are motel style and some hotel style. But the rooms are renovated and in pretty good shape. Close proximity to restaurants and old Scottsdale. Service was excellent and every staff member I passed acknowledged me and said hello. That says a lot about the customer service training they receive. I would stay here again if my work travels brought me back to Scottsdale.
