We have visited this property many times, sent friends there on trips, and also loved. This time was average at best. Started with calling the hotel to be advised of the airport shuttle they recommend. Although it is not the fault of the hotel that our shuttle no-showed, but when I called the front desk to assist us the young lady stated that’s not our service so I really can’t help and truly did not offer any help. Okay, arrived at the hotel and moved on. Thursday evening we dined on the patio at the main hotel our waitress was unfriendly and seemed annoyed we were there. The manager came to our table and helped us with our drink order and continued to come by and see if we needed anything. She was great! Friday, I called and asked for extra coffee and detergent never received. Called again Saturday, did not receive until late afternoon. Really enjoyed the villa adult pool staff. Super nice and helpful. Spa was amazing although they crossed up credit cards and charged me for all of my friend’s services. We handled not a big deal. Monday morning I called and asked for an 11am check out. It was confirmed at 10 we receive a call asking us to be out of the rooms or consolidate into 1. I continued with I had spoken with a woman at 8am and confirmed our 11am check out. The young man proceeded to tell me there is no woman at the front desk and that couldn’t have happened. This is where the conversation turned. I told him I was an owner and would not argue with him about what I knew had happened. I asked to speak to his manager. Derek asked me to confirm who I spoke with. When you call and ask for a late check out do you ask who am I speaking with? I did not. I did however call from my cell phone and could give him the exact time and number. I also conveyed I had two friends that HAD been interested in purchasing with Vistana. He asked for me to meet him at the front desk. When I arrived in the lobby I found he and another young woman talking about me and how they didn’t understand what the issue was...he didn’t know who I was so I listened for a bit, slid my keys under the plexiglass and told him the issue was their customer service. He asked how to make it right, I told him that was another problem, I shouldn’t have to tell him how to make it right. He never offered any type of assistance or help, nor did he care to meet my friends and guide them with possible Vistana ownership information. A simple gesture of can we buy you a drink before you leave would have gone a long way. Or even throw some point my way, but nothing. I realize Covid makes everything different and stress, but the front desk staff at this property is unhelpful and rude. Not a good look. I missed the bagpiper too!

This year as Vistana owners we stayed for two weeks at Westin Kierland Villas. As usual, we enjoyed our time. But we were disappointed at the amenities that were closed, such as the coffee bar, gym, short hours at the grill, and especially the hot tub. There really didn’t seem to be any reason for keeping these things closed, despite COVID, considering there were often 30 to 40 people in the adult pool and we understand capacity at the property was running over 60%. The hot tub at the hotel was open but it is substandard. Will visit again.

Thank you very much for your recent visit and for your feedback. We are continually looking at our amenities to see if we feel we can safely open. We've now opened our Westin Workout with some occupancy restrictions and are working on plans to expand out F&B hours. Some areas such as our steam room, sauna, and hot tubs are very difficult to enforce proper spacing and we err on the side of caution. I certainly appreciate your desire to relax and enjoy our full facilities and promise we will open those as soon as we feel we safely can. Best regards, Scott Caldwell

Nice upscale spot for a getaway. We were here just for a long weekend, but the units are all very roomy and have a kitchen area and living room and balcony. So plenty of room to spread out, and you don’t feel cooped up at all. The grounds are lovely, much attention to detail on the landscaping and areas around the buildings. The staff were all very accommodating and friendly. If you go for the “timeshare” presentation they are professional and low pressure.

Rooms total outdated , dark, depressing and dirty .My bed pillows had a strong odor of dirty oily hair n sweat. My friends condo was dirty m bigger but their pillows smelled like very bad breath tooth decay . We all never mention the issues At resort rooms , we were trying to make this the best stay vacation we could for my husband who Is recovering from liver cancer . But at our last meal out we hit the hi lights , like roaring fork , olive n ivy , the lazy river , site seeing the mountains. We all notice not one of us mention our resort stay , I finally told them about our room they Were right with us On the dirty pillows , floors and staff complaining. This place was filthy , even the pool employees were complaining. Never stay here . Coffee cups had funky odor we rewashed 2x

We had an impromptu road trip from Massachusetts to Arizona in June 2020 leaving as cases were decreasing in MA and just prior to AZ's surge. A friend picked up her car in Mass. and had to drive back alone to AZ so we volunteered to keep her company. We arrived the day the mayors mandated mask wearing in public which we were grateful for and used to coming from MA. We stayed 4 nights in a 1 bedroom villa on the 4th floor of building #4 of 7. It was the perfect size for 2 adults. All the employees wore masks inside and out. There was hand sanitizer available in public areas, too. There are 2 pools, a family and a Relaxation (adult) pool which is the one my husband and I preferred. All the chaise lounges were signaled as being clean if they had a rolled towel on them.
