We selected this hotel for it's easy access (right off the 101) and did find it convenient. Room was fine but did not exceed our expectations and we were disappointed in the bathroom (very small amount of counter space) and in the shower (very low flow; to the point of frustrating) but all of our interactions with hotel staff were good and that makes such a difference! When I made the reservation, the front desk representative gladly accommodated a special request about our room and, while there, the hotel maids we spoke with when requesting extra towels or supplies couldn't have been nicer. Every morning we started our day with coffee or a light breakfast from the lobby where both Joey and Kim patiently listened to and made our special instruction foo-foo drinks with a smile. With limited services due to Covid restrictions still in place, and a schedule that didn't allow for relaxing at the hotel pool, we especially appreciated the great attitudes and customer service these two staff members gave us each day.

Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback! I saw your comment about the bathroom counter and I will definitely communicate this within our organization. Additionally, I will pass on your comments about the water pressure in the shower. This is not the standard or normal for our hotel so I will ensure our team looks into this right away. I truly appreciate your kind words regarding our staff, especially Joey and Kim. They are both assets to our team and we are so lucky to have them. I will be sure to recognize them in front of their peers this week! Again, thank you for choosing our hotel and we look forward to serving you again soon. Hopefully you will have time for some relaxing by the pool next time!

The Courtyard is very good for business travelers in need of a quiet place to work with few distractions. The hotel is located a bit away from restaurants and retail shops, so having a personal car or using Uber/Lyft is required (the hotel offers a free shuttle with a three-mile radius, but the service is only available at the top of the hour). Rooms are quiet and clean, with a large comfortable bed and pullout desk for a laptop. WiFi is free and easily accessible, and I had no problem with connections at any time. Staff are friendly and helpful, and check-in and -out were quick and easy. Hotel dining is limited and a bit pricey. Room amenities include coffeemaker (for those of us who don't like Starbucks), minifridge, and microwave. The bathroom is spacious, with a large glass shower. The toilet seemed to sit a bit low. The single elevator also is a bit slow, so give sufficient time when arriving/leaving. Overall, a good place to stay for business travelers.

We visited from San Diego the weekend of April 9-11 and had a great experience! The property itself is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and definitely had a resort feel with the gorgeous pool and the awesome lobby/bar area. The front desk was very helpful and provided us with earplugs when we needed them, and were very quick to fulfill our requests for more toiletries and towels. There was an incident where the fire alarm went off in the hotel because it was accidentally tripped by the elevator, and the front desk staff was very helpful in helping people stay calm and updating us as they got new info on the situation. Also, we are vegan, which requires us to make alterations to most menu items when we eat out. Kim from the Bistro was so helpful and kind and made us feel comfortable with what we were ordering! She was patient and reassured us of the ingredients of the items we were ordering. Thank you so much Kim!

I stayed here last week and wanted first of all to commend the front desk staff! Wonderful staff and very personable.
I I immediately felt “safe” upon entering through the doors.
Hand sanitizer stations throughout the hotel, flyers at a small table for delivery restaurants or services, they are limited to one person or n the fitness center at a time!
One of the few hotels that even had the bistro open for certain hours as well.
Housekeeping was also spot on as they clean certain days of week now.
I am returning this coming week and staying here, I was so impressed

I needed a reasonably priced place to stay for 5 or 6 nights and chose the Marriott Courtyard Salt River in Scottsdale, Arizona. I was so pleased! The staff, particularly, at the Bistro were very friendly and always greeted me with smiles. I wasn't expecting anything too great in the way of food for a "Bistro" but was I ever surprised! I ate from the Bistro every day :). Everything was top-notch restaurant quality. My compliments to the chefs! The salmon I ordered for dinner was reasonably priced, cooked to perfection, and as good as I've ordered anywhere. The hotel had all the amenities I could want including Starbucks as part of the Bistro. I am very familiar with Scottsdale, and this hotel is conveniently located off the 101 highway with Old Town Scottsdale, Fashion Square, and the Talking Stick entertainment district just a few miles in either direction. The rooms were quiet and very clean (in-room coffee maker, small fridge, microwave, large smart TV, and, upon request, even special mattress toppers to make your bed softer or harder to your preference. I stayed for 5 nights and can't think of anything I else I needed during my stay which included happy hour from 5-7 every night. The best part, though, was the smiles and attentiveness I received from the staff. I specially want to thank Joey, Beth, from the Bistro, Chefs Miguel, Gonzalo, Sarah & Wes, and Estefania who sets up activities for the guests. If I missed anyone's name, let be known that everyone I came in contact was great! It's obvious that this is a great place for them to work which says a lot these days. Please consider this hotel for your next stay in Scottsdale!

Everyone that works at this hotel is helpful and genuinely very welcoming. People working at the front desk regularly engaged in conversation with me as I came and went, as did the server working at the pool area. I’m usually skeptical of hotel food somewhere like a Courtyard but honestly the food was SO good. I ate lunch and breakfast there most days. (Try the Reuben and definitely get the fries!) The pool area was plenty nice - although definitely a lot of families so be forewarned about lots of kids playing in the pool. My room was quite small (something to be expected of a NYC, not a Phoenix) - it was fine but not even getting upgraded to a room with more space or a balcony was surprising given I have Titanium status. Overall, for the price point, location (easy access to freeway and 10 min to old town) and service it really can’t be beat.

I chose this hotel based on the good reviews I read and I was not disappointed. This is one of the most well-managed properties that I've ever been to. I used to manage a Hilton property and spent many years in the hospitality industry so I feel like I can tell you that these guys have it down! The front desk, restaurant, room attendants, managers....everyone was so pleasant and had a refreshing Spirit of Service.
The food in the restaurant is by far the best food I've had at a hotel in this category. I really enjoyed the comfy booths where I could set up (and charge!) my laptop and enjoy good coffee and a delicious, healthy meal. My colleague and I spent more time in there then we anticipated because it worked so well for us. The gentleman that runs it in the morning was great. I didn't catch his name but he was awesome.
The room was perfectly appointed and I had everything I needed. At check-in, they ask if you'd like to schedule a room cleaning during your stay (contact is minimized due to covid). That worked fine for me and I didn't end up needing that service during my 3-night stay because the room was so well stocked.
The front desk agents were all so helpful and personable. I knew if I needed to go up there, that I would be greeted warmly and taken care of each time. I would hire every single one of them if I were still managing a hotel.
This was my first sales trip for my current job, and I am so happy I found the property that I will be coming back to each time I visit the area.

New courtyard, so very clean & great staff. Room was great, with laminate floors which is always an added bonus. My only room complaint is I wish they would build all new rooms without tubs - standup showers only.
The staff here was very nice, especially Kristina who checked us in.
They have a nice outdoor area with a large pool and hot tub shared with the residence inn. The lounge had live music at night which was very good. It was crowded with multiple conferences going on, so it was a festive atmosphere. They have a hotel calendar with events going on all of the time (happy hours, music, etc..).
Has the standard courtyard bistro which was very good & they gave my son a free hot chocolate in the AM.
This is one of the few Scottsdale locations that is only 25k in Marriott points, so I was able to use a certificate. Definitely worth the value for the points.

Our stay was very comfortable & the room was very clean. There was a note set by the bed stating that the beds were new and featured a pillow-top mattress. This was a plus! The only downside for us was the fact that there was no (free) breakfast offered. You must pay for everything, including coffee (unless you get it from your room's coffee maker). So, if you don't want to pay $4 for a small coffee, make it yourself in the room.

I don't even know where to begin, everything here is wonderful. The grounds are always clean, there is music always playing around the hotel, they offer water and really really good coffee in the mornings, and the pool is like an oasis. We LOVE staying here, and always feel welcome and comfy.

My favorite part has to be the bistro! The food is SO GOOD. Head Chef Gonzalo has taken so much time with the menu, and everything feels home-cooked and delicious. We love eating at the bistro & the oat milk lattes are top-notch. When Derek is working at the bistro you know you will have an amazing day. We stayed for a few weeks and every time Derek was there he was so welcoming. He even took the time to get to know our dog!! Traveling with a pet can be scary, and Derek made us feel so comfortable.

Thank you Marriott Salt River for having such an amazing staff and making our stay fabulous!!

I have a Marriott Bonvoy account(free sign up, I believe) so wi-fi was free. However, there is another level of wi-fi that you can pay for if you are doing business from your laptop and need more security. This is how I understand it.
