Phone systems a bit outdated facilities definitely needs some updating and make sure you have breakfast lunch and dinner reservations because the food was awful just saying. The rooms were comfy they did keep them a bit chilly which I like.

Hotel's Favorite
A very nice property. Some of the reviews posted are really quite unfair and seem to be from inexperienced travelers. Right now I think all travelers have to be aware that we are still in pandemic times. And it is very hard for businesses in the leisure industry (hotels, restaurants, theaters, etc) to get and retain staff. So, I think it’s unreasonable to expect the hotel to staff for two pool bars at this time. Suck it up cupcake and walk to the other pool to get your maitai. Same thing for ability to fully staff the restaurants. And I think people can put up with a small leaf or two in the pool area right now. My room was clean and bright. Bed comfy. In the future the bathrooms could use some updating but no big deal for now. The pools were both very nice. I especially liked the one farthest from the lobby and when I return I will book a room closer to that pool. The one closest to the lobby was still nice but I wish the little waterfall feature was turned on in that pool. Also the pool music wasn’t really good. Should find some clubby/light jazzy/zen spa kinda music. Whatever the were playing wanted me to slit my wrists just a little. The staff were all very nice and the property grounds were well maintained (although I wish there were more cacti in the cactus garden). They have a couple of hammocks that looked quite invited, under some shade trees. I liked my yummy breakfast burrito at the morning restaurant and the shuttle driver was very friendly and took me where I needed to go in Scottsdale. One last thing. Doubletree properties are midrange Hilton brand properties, so expect a mid range experience. If you want and expect top tier experience stay at a Conrad, crockfords, or Waldorf Astoria (example…the built ore in Phoenix is quite fabulous).I thing this property and their staff do a good job representing the doubletree brand.

I like this place. It’s a sprawling resort with pools and but with long open corridors like a Spanish courtyard. It’s nicely groomed, people are friendly, breakfast is good, and the bar food is solid. The only problem they’re having is staffing but that’s nationwide so you can’t fault them. The restaurant stops serving food at 7.30, rooms don’t get cleaned, but not the resort’s fault. A nice place to get away from the cold in January.

Every single staff member we talked to was extremely nice, super happy, and very quick to help us. Me and my husband went for our honeymoon and they gave us a free breakfast voucher which was very kind. We got to the room and it was much bigger than we expected and very cute. It had wood beamed ceilings and was a very cute space. The hotel is very beautiful filled with lots of trees and greenery. They have a little area to golf, two pools (from what we could see) and more. We would definitely suggest this hotel to anyone!

We were here for a dance convention. This hotel was very nice. The rooms were spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. There were a couple of downfalls however. The rooms were a little tricky to get to and very far from the lobby, and the number system to find your room was confusing. Once you got your room, you could park closer to it but then had to use the stairs to get your luggage up stairs. There’s only one elevator by the lobby then a loooooong walk to your room if you don’t want to use stairs. Not super convenient for a dance convention/competition. The pools were nice.
