ZERO stars for this hotel. I am a bride whom had to postpone her wedding from April to October. I had a block of rooms at this hotel reserved for the original dates. When the wedding was postponed we asked to move the block to the new dates. I could not get ahold of anyone for months. I called reservations and they could not help me and told me to reach out to the front desk. I call the front desk and email and no one answers. FINALLY I get ahold of Debra Gatz the Director of Catering that told me she didn't believe I had been calling or trying to change the reservation and the email and phone number reservations had given me was in Canada and she didn't know who it was. She said that she did not want my business and that I should find another hotel since I was not happy with their service. I was trying to change a wedding block not cancel anything. My husband then spoke with the GM-Willem Berkhout. William rudely stated that he trusts his employees decision and would rather not have our business because the customer is NOT always right. This is unbelievable and I have never experienced service like this in the past. It was not just one employee that was rude, it was Debra, Heather, and Willem. This speaks volumes in the type of customer service they provide. I will not be recommending this establishment to anyone. They are so many other wonderful hotel and resorts in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area...stay away from this one.

Magen, thank you for your feedback. Although we have responded to this on Yelp and Google, please read further for our response. We understand the frustration of having to postpone weddings and events as we have worked closely with many couples, families and businesses this year with date changes and room block changes due to the ongoing pandemic. Unfortunately, some of the information in your review does not reflect the actual and true events that transpired. Due to the continuous dissatisfaction that you had expressed against our resort and employees, we felt that it would not be possible for us to exceed your expectations and released the remainder of your room block inventory. We did offer to honor the 2 reservations that had been made but the offer was declined and you instead wished to cancel the remaining reservations with us. I'm sorry that you were unhappy with your experience with us as we work hard to ensure everyone has an excellent experience at our resort. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

We stayed here for four days in early June to attend a wedding. I can't say enough nice things about the general manager and his team. While in the midst of the COVID-19 epidemic, the GM and banquet manager worked with us to assure accommodations, breakfast the morning after the event, and great hospitality at the event even with the additional COVID type accommodations, Our wedding party (it was my niece's wedding) had the bulk of the rooms but even the other guests were very nice. Generally it is a great place for families or couples to 'staycation' or vacation as they are on a lake, around the block from a golf course and very close to downtown Scottsdale. THey are also an easy drive (2 miles) to multiple restaurants. The gym had all the equipment we use including free weights, a weight machine, elliptical, horizontal and vertical bikes and a treadmill. There are ample paved paths to take walks outside and a very pretty pool. Decor is a little dark in the halls but the rooms are very spacious with a nice balcony. It also has a great suite for pre-wedding dressing for a whole bridal party.

rooms are clean and nice, only downside is the front desk closes at 7. the 2 front desk girls heather and mackenzie work too much, one must never sleep because when i had to call heather after losing my room keys she was always awake at night and helped me. free snacks in the lobby and friendly staff including the managers. will be back once pool reopens, get a room facing the lake for a nice view

I visited Scottsdale for business and was delighted with the service I received. Sarafina was always friendly and helped me get the fire pits lit so I could relax after a hard days work. MicKenzie was always helpful and friendly; creating an inviting atmosphere. Sean was an excellent server at breakfast & lakeside in the evening; super efficient and friendly. Heather saved the day by saving my belongings that I forgot in the room. Overall, after a hard days work I felt like I was coming home.

I've been to this hotel on account of 8 different times for the past 4 years. Before it was rough but now you can tell there has been plenty of great changes. Thank you, Sarafina for being so helpful, friendly and beautiful to my husband and I. She is a great salesperson hahaha. As usual, I'll be seeing everyone here once a year for our women empowerment group! Also, it was very difficult to find out how to leave a review but I was determined. Great staff at this location!
