I must admit a couple of the employees were super sweet, but the ones that were totally over the top ill mannered over did them ten to one. It was like being on the edge of a battle amongst the help. Horrible atmosphere
The manager Clay was so rude when we checked in. He's totally out of touch with how to treat people! (more on that) Our hotel room was ran down, needed remodeling. The pillows smelled of sweat! The beds were WAY too soft hurting me and my husbands back for days! The room was at 59 degrees when we checked in and turning the temp up to 75 brought it to only 61!! Had to turn it completely off and then had to get up in the middle of the night to turn it back on only to be frozen again by dawn! Tons of securty tells you there's alot of riff raft around but they were all on a power trip making it uncomfortable for the guest!? One example; I ran down from my room to grab a couple of milks and didn't grab my card key (as my husband was still in the room.) A dozen times we passed this point with no security so I didnt think about the key. But this time I passed a rude power trip person on the way down and then on the way back up he actually barked at me, "Can't you read the sign that states you must show a key!" I said, you just saw me come down! NO I need a KEY! Can you please contact the front desk to verify me? He said NO WAY!. He said can you call your husband and I did but even him stating our room number and verifying our room number, it was a no go. Security said, make him bring the key down!! Omg! He's not dressed! Then he snapped, "The front desk is only 100 yards away, go get a key!" But that doesn't include the waiting in line!! When we checked in, Clay the manager had to Ok my husbands WELL documented service dog, no problem ... BUT he didnt want to see the paperwork and he became very aggressive and actually yelled at him ... trying to intimidate him?! So we'd leave? After 20 mintues of badgering my husband, he finally got so upset and said, "Are you going to let us and our service dog in, or I'm going to have to file a complaint with the Federal ADA Act!" He said they DIDN'T have to follow the law because they're on Indian land!? We should of left but we prepaid and would of normally asked for a discount but didn't want to have to talk to one more rude person! AND There's even more! All around HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE for much $$$$$…
Although check in was quite late due to room not being ready. We had a great time exploring local shops in downtown Scottsdale. Rooms where as expected the meeting rooms where nice and had some really great service. Had a great time at the pool. David Spalding was cleaning the pool I can not say enough great things about his service. he went out of his way to make sure that my group had everything we needed. He got us an umbrella and made sure that we had a server. super nice guy. many great servers at the pool bar also . the valet service was very good
Spoke with Clay Hotel Manager about these concerns... Valentina at the Fig Bistro so rude and Unprofessional, just left our food on the counter forever had to ask for it! Could not use the pool the first night because of a D J playing. The next morning we went to the pool and it was filthy, dead bugs, debris, leaves even empty beer cans in the pool!! Clay's response was, we're short staff. The pool event people paid to watch the D J, Hate to tell you Clay your guests paid a GOOD amount for their rooms as well! I truly believe Clay has lost all reality of what customer service means to paying guest. Clay do everyone a favor and step down, go away you're not about customer service nor do you care, look at all these horrible reviews!!! Ron
My son had his wedding reception at the hotel. I was shocked by how clean and how friendly the staff was. If you are looking for excitement and a great place to stay then Talking Stick is the place to be. You can gamble and the restaurants are all 5 star.
Cooperation and attitude of staff Storms closed the pools for the day. Totally get that. Out of there hands. But we asked for a 2 hr extension to our checkout to enjoy the pool for a few hours since it was the main reason of our stay here, and you would think I was asking for a free weeks stay with the attitude the “gentleman” at the front desk had. He was extremely rude and condescending. We got our time at the pool, not that the staff at the pool noticed Never were waited on once in 2 hrs, but the young girls couple chairs over were visited numerous times with ice cold water and other drinks When we had enough we tried to get back into the hotel, only to find out our key wouldn’t work. Walked around to find a door that didn’t require one went to our room to find it didn’t work there either. I went to the lobby desk to inform them we couldn’t get in our room and clerk responded with its past your checkout time. I told her I called down around 10, was transferred to to the front desk where a man answered and eventually granted an extended checkout. Clerk claimed there was no record of it and basically without saying it, called me a liar We were so impressed with this resort when we first arrived and had a wonderful meal at the Orange Sky restaurant and even talked about making this our place to for special occasions since we are new to the Phoenix area. It went downhill from there, and rapidly We won’t return. The last impression is a LASTING impression…
Room was exactly as it looked in the pictures (maybe a tad smaller). We sadly did not use the large tub that we were excited for (we were too busy!). We had a nice view from our room on the 5th floor. Valet was super easy to use. Casino floor was nice and non-smoking! We enjoyed the restaurants and bars that we used on property. This resort is right next to TopGolf (which we went to), but I would recommend driving in the heat unless you like walking in that, there is a Hampton Inn in between the golf and the resort. They were not doing housekeeping, but when we called for extra items, they arrived at our room within 10 minutes (I think there was a housekeeping room across the hall from us). Check in was a bit frustrating as the lady told me I did not have a reservation, but then she ended up finding it. Overall it was a nice stay.…
Every time I stay there I never get a room at check in time. For as expensive as the rooms are you should get a refund for that time. Had to get ready for dinner in the public bathroom. Room not ready until 5:30!!!!! RUDE front desk!
Awesome experience, way better than Vegas! Hotel rooms are really clean and modern. Live Craps and Roulette are great but the dealers are new to this so it’s a slower game. Pools are awesome but service is really slow. The best part is the no hassle if you bring a bottle of water or snack, just show up and start your vacation . Black Fig Bistro is amazing, great burgers! Great staycation, very very clean property.
The hotel is extremely nice. My room was beyond spotless, spacious and comfortable. The bed was great and the bigger bathtub was a nice addition. I was underwhelmed by the casino floor and the food options. Staff members weren’t really friendly and at dinner my bar tender waited for me to tip him before removing my plate. I also didn’t get an actual paper copy of my charges, he just told me the total and waited for me to pay it which was awkward. I booked through orbitz and this was supposed to be a VIP hotel so I should have received a food/beverage credit. But I didn’t and that was disappointing. Overall, the room was fantastic and since I was only here one night for business it was adequate. I wouldn’t pay to stay here again but it wasn’t a horrible experience.
