We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights , we chose it because of its golf course , we played one day golf course was decent .
Hotel check was not very smooth , we had booked it couple of months ago on Expedia , the front desk lady kept asking , did we just book the hotel , she finally found the reservation , rooms are decent and clean . Hotel does not provide any cleaning service citing COVID concerns , they still charge daily resort fee despite the fact it is pandemic and there is no service , even water is not stocked in the room . We had to call front desk to get some water bottles . There is casino in this hotel , we passed by quickly. We had a drink from the bar , over priced and not even a drop of alcohol was out in margarita , they just have us premixed margarita without any alcohol . So my advise is do not order any drink from the bar , instead go to a nice place and enjoy the drinks .
Will not be coming back to this hotel .

Normally, I’m not as concerned with cleanliness as a top priority. However, Talking Stick was where I chose to play my first hand of live poker since COVID-19.

From the moment I entered the property, I had immediate peace of mind knowing that the staff and employees at this facility were giving 110% effort into ensuring that the playing floor and facilities were constantly cleaned and sanitized. Here are some of the sanitation measures that were put into place which I wholeheartedly appreciated:

Everyone’s temperature was taken upon entering.
The entire casino is now non-smoking (GOOD!)
No eating is allowed at the tables.
Poker tables in the poker room have been spaced out.
Each player playing at the tables is separated from every other player by an enclosure of sneeze guards (common to what you’d find at buffets) — guards which are cleaned EVERY time the player leaves the game or changes seats.

We had a great stay in this resort. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were modern , clean and spacious. There was free valet parking if you wanted to use it. The pool was nice and large. The best part was that there were multiple different entrances into the pool so people didn’t just hang out on the stairs in one spot ! There were plenty of lounge chairs and towels, decent pool bar service and good drinks / food. With covid, the rooms aren’t made up everyday but when we called for towels they brought them up immediately. We ate breakfast at the Blue Coyote…the menu was limited but the food was good and the waitress was wonderful!

We also liked the location of the resort as it was just a few minutes to bustling Scottsdale with great restaurants and shops. It was also less than 5 minutes to the aquarium, butterfly wonderland and dinosaur land …very fun for families with kids !!!

We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!

Nice room. Rude and disinterested pool staff and management. All drinks extremely overpriced, strictly metered, and served in cheapest of plastic. Most services closed. Casino full of low-lifes. The front desk manager and her supervisor would not credit our account for a daily resort fee, everything being unavailable, including the spa, most restaurants, and golf practice areas. I was made to feel insulted for booking with Hotels.com and was told it was my error for not using their own website.

This was one of my worst stays at a resort. From the smoke knocking me over as soon as I walked in to having to wait 7 hours for my room and them not having a place that I could work from, which meant I had to take an Uber to a Starbucks and work from there. The check in desk was not helpful at all, including the manager Katheryn. My room overlooked the parking structure and had shutters which didn't block all of the light nor car alarm sounds. The room would not maintain a constant temperature. The fitness center had some nice equipment for regular hotel, nothing like I expected at a resort.

On the positive note, with the exception of the check in staff/manager, all of the other staff members were very helpful, friendly and happy.

I do not typically write reviews but when I saw the last two reviews I felt compelled. My husband and I recently stayed for one night for a quick pre-Father’s Day stay. Rented a daybed at the pool for the day. Service was wonderful, food was great and the best part... hardly anybody there! As far as the casino and the prior reviews? Well, I, for one, was pleased with the updates made due to Coronavirus. Masks for everybody. Plexi glass dividers on the blackjack tables were great which only allowed no more than 4 people per table. Non smoking in the whole place was the very best update. I mean seriously, not one bit of smoke smell in my hair or my clothes.

The staff was wonderful , blackjack dealers were super friendly and we had an overall wonderful experience. I would highly recommend Talking Stick for the safety measures they have put in place. I was not at all concerned while staying there .

Stayed here for a work trip which we parlayed into a nice long getaway weekend for my husband and myself. Cleaning service only occurs following your third night at the resort. Other than that, they’ll oblige you by sending up clean towels, as needed. Dirty linen and garbage remain until the 4th night. They apparently encourage business by hosting painfully loud concerts Saturday nights in the pool area. The music is so loud it literally shakes the windows in the rooms and clatters the shutters. The encouraged young clientele gets plastered and then spends the rest of their nights screaming through the hotel halls and making foul remarks to one another. Security comes around periodically to gently ask the underage drunkards to please behave, but as imagined this does little to calm the young crowd. The front desk staff allowed us to switch rooms to a quieter area after midnight, but we were required to fully pack up and move out of our previous room prior to their giving us new room keys. They would not allow us to wait until the morning to clear out of our previous room. The common areas of the hotel are clean. I will never return and don’t suggest that you visit!

The employees were all super friendly & helpful. The few restaurants that are open only let you order to go w no place to sit. Pool & hot tub open. Great service at pool for food/ drink but very expensive especially any beer or mixed drinks. That inside inside too. Food is ok, nothing great that is open right now. Bottled water provided free at pool & in-room. No room / maid service of any kind. Covered parking was very nice. Garage needed a good cleaning as there was quite a bit of trash, cig butts, drink containers etc left laying around. I really love this place when it has everything open but right now it isn’t worth visiting...in my opinion anyway

Really clean resort with plenty of amenities. Very clean and friendly staff. The casino has plenty of table games. Came here on a busy Saturday evening and the entire place was packed. Very easy to navigate around as the staff was able to direct us. Parking is easy to find and the resort is right off a major highway

We stayed two days at the Talking Stick Resort and casino and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. I love the slots!!! They have a great selection. We had breakfast at the Blue Sky Cafe, which is open 24 hours, and the food was delicious! They also have a deli and bakery with wonderful sweets. The rooms were nicely appointed with comfortable beds. I liked that the doors to the rooms were accessed by a short hallway. So...if you stop at Scottsdale, be sure to visit the Talking Stick Resort!
