I just returned home from the most amazing solo luxury stay at Canyon Suites. As a new mom, this was an indulgent luxury get away. I had a king room on the top floor with a superb balcony overlooking Camelback Mountain. The room was decorated out of an Architectural Digest Magazine with a large soaking tub. The best part of my trip was Deette - my Ambassador. She made me feel at home and even found accommodations for my breastmilk shipping and storage. I’m so grateful to her! I visited the spa each day and ordered room service (which was quite yummy)! All of the staff were extra nice and helpful. I will surely be returning next year!

My wife and me had an excellent to the Canyon Suites. It’s really nice to have a private/separate section of the resort, which is great because the main area is pretty crowded. The service was great: breakfast hosts, room service, front desk, pool, housekeeping. Everyone was terrific. We stayed in a suite overlooking the golf course which was very spacious and had a beautiful view. The room was a bit “tired” in that they are going to be in need of a renovation pretty soon. The one room complaint is that the shower in that massive bathroom barely fits 1 person comfortably. Regardless, the rooms are nice and comfortable. Highly recommend staying here for a couples getaway - visit the golf course, spa, gym, tennis courts, pools, etc.

Before even arriving to the hotel, we spoke with Ireland at the front desk for more information about restaurants, spa reservations and what to do at the resort. Beyond being one of the nicest people I’ve spoken to on the phone, Ireland was informative, helpful and welcoming making us so excited to visit. If you’re considering staying at the Phoenician, hopefully you’ll be lucky to be greeted by Ireland. It’s people like her that keep and maintain customer loyalty. Ireland, hats off to you for representing your hotel so well! My wife and I are beyond excited to visit tomorrow and we hold you personably responsible for that!

Another great stay at the Canyon Suites! The property is maintained with a fine level of detail and care. Suite was spacious, quiet, comfortable and clean. Everything you need is on property or close by at the Phoenician or surrounding area - excellent dining, hiking, or shopping. I enjoyed a visit to Phoenician Spa for a top tier massage and excellent options to relax in steam saunas, hot tubs, or a cold rinse. Dinner at J&G Steakhouse was fantastic with a superb steak, sides, and desert. It was off peak season so there was no longer the excellent complimentary breakfast or onsite bar but in-room dining had good limited option and was fast. A big Thank You for the great service from Cody at the valet - he welcomed me back by name, quickly cared for car, shuttled to spa/dinner in golf cart or SUV, and helped take care of room keys that didn't work. They still had free use of quality acoustic guitars which was icing on the cake. It's a perfect place for a relaxing vacation or just a nice getaway before taking care of business. Bravo!

It’s our last day so I’m sad to write this because we’re leaving behind a great place. This is a gorgeous resort and everyone is incredibly kind and helpful in every way. Our suite was beautiful and roomy…it could use an update to the furniture but that’s a personal preference. The furniture is not very comfy with a lot of leather and hard fabrics and was intended to last which I can understand for a hotel. But the bed was super comfortable and the linens are the best. We’re picky sleepers and usually look forward to our bed at home so it’s great that we were able to sleep well on vacation. We loved our balcony and spent slow mornings relaxing to the view. Room 8322 overlooks the fountain and has landscape views. Our 5 year old had enough space to play and took over the living room area for her own. I highly recommend staying at the Canyon suites over the Phoenician although you have access to both properties. Canyon Suites is on the backside and much quieter with exclusive amenities. We looked forward to the peace and quiet after a busy day. And the Ambassadors are a godsend for families, they made last minute reservations, carted us around, and recommended other activities to make our stay the best. There is lots to do for kids which you can’t see from the website and most are free. I wish they still had a kids club but given precautions they did a nice job with daily activities throughout the day I.e art activities, donut and cookie decorating, and games. The pools are fantastic, we were here during spring break and had no problem getting chairs even late in the day. All the pools are very clean with plenty of attendants. I love that the kids area was not set apart so you can keep an eye on our kid but also enjoy the pool time. Poolside food is very good and came served in covered bento style trays. It was nice to be able to cover the food while you grazed on it. We didn’t leave the resort and can recommend all of the restaurants here. The Phoenician Tavern is more kid friendly and has what I call bar style food. Mowry & Cotton has more options and not as expensive. The Steakhouse we did not get to try but looks like a great upscale option. We loved our visit and are thinking of making this an annual trip.

5 stars is not good enough for this resort. This is likely the best resort I have stayed at thus far! The food here is phenomenal, the staff even more so. The staff will do EVERYTHING to make your stay not just comfortable, but luxurious. Rooms: luxurious! The balconies have stunning views, the beds are PLUSH! We stayed in a suite and it had two bathrooms, a dining area, a living room, and the bedroom. Crazy! Food: breakfast was always so fresh, healthy, and made with quality ingredients. The staff assisting with breakfast were always so kind! One staff member even gave us a to go box of pastries for our flight home. The food by the pool was always very tasty as well! Service: wow. This is where the resort shines. Everyone here was INCREDIBLE. They would set up our pool chairs for us, would move our umbrella for us to give us the perfect shade coverage, and always got our food to us so promptly. They always offered turn down service, always cleaned our room perfectly, I just cannot say enough about the staff! Pool: this is where I believe the Canyon Suites shines above the main resort. We tried out the pools at the Phoenician and while they were vivacious and fun, nothing felt quite as relaxing as the Canyon Suites pool. I'd return to the Canyon Suites and let out a sigh of relief. It is hard to explain the feeling, it was just serene. Stay here if you can! This is a resort I will never forget!

For the past 30 years, I have traveled the US extensively for work, typically spending 100-150 nights on the road per year. I have been to many of the nation’s top hotels and resorts and I have to say this is one of my favorites! My husband and I booked 7 nights for our 25th anniversary and The Canyon Suites did not disappoint. First off, the level of service is incredible! We spent every day at the pool and Sharon was among the most personable and customer-service oriented servers we have ever encountered on our travels. The hotel only has 60 rooms, so even at a busy Spring Break time, we were always able to find great seats at the pool and enjoy our day. A wonderful breakfast is included with your room and the food choices were always tasty. Meredith, Jan, and Buzz were all standouts at breakfast for their friendly service. We had a room rather than a suite but it was large and very comfortable for a week’s stay. The water pressure in the large walk-in shower was fabulous! The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and the cactus garden is really cool for those of us from the east. Since it was our anniversary, the hotel sent us a bottle of champagne and some wonderful truffles on our first day. The last night we had dinner on property at J&G Steakhouse and it was a very special way to close out our week. I think the only complaint I can come up with is the pool needs frequent cleaning as the trees near it were regularly dropping tiny leaves into the water. And likely due to the beautiful landscaping, there are a lot of bees, many of whom wind up in the pool and need to be scooped out. Thanks to everyone at The Canyon Suites for a very memorable anniversary vacation!

Pros: -Wonderful breakfast buffet -Access to many many pools -Big room Cons: -Service was spotty. Had to seek out water bottles at the pool. Had to set up our own towels at the pool. -Hot tubs were all embarrassingly dirty (floating plastic cups, debris from trees) -The food options at the pools were strange. The big thing was kebobs. Surprisingly uninteresting kids meal options. -We were expecting Four Seasons/Ritz style rooms, but they were like a nice Marriott. I felt bad for Four Seasons/Ritz that Canyon Suites would be in the same five star category. We seriously considered checking out early to go to the Four Seasons.

Tucked away on the left before the entrance to the Phoenician, Canyon Suites offers a welcome respite from the hustle of what has become a mega resort. Albeit a beautiful one. The welcome from the valet sets the tone for Canyon Suites. Professional, and friendly. Room are either facing the pool and camel back mountain, or the golf course and valley beyond. Both excellent. Our room, a King, was comfortable, well equipped and just the right amount of space. The love seat on the balcony was a welcome touch. The informal breakfast hits the mark for most people want in the morning. Kudos to the staff who put this together prior to turning into a bar in the evening. If desired you can use all the ample amenities at the main Phoenician hotel, just a short walk away, but the space and service at Canyon Suites pool is hard to beat. The Spa is one of the best this couple has ever attended and would recommend booking early and often. Everything there is divine, and once finished the roof top pool and great service there is worth hanging around for. The golf course is just about ok. Beautifully maintained, but the mass of new houses being built so close to many of the fairways somewhat spoils the experience. If you are willing to travel 45 minutes there are better options. All in all a great experience.

First what a beautiful property! You will not be disappointed and all the views are spectacular. But what makes this resort special is the staff and the level of service they provide. Upon arrival we met Cam and she was wonderful! After checking us in she took the time to escort us to our room, and explained all of the amenities in the room and resort to us. The room was gorgeous and certainly as good as any 5 start resort we have stayed in the last 5 years! As far as the other staff members we encountered during our stay we would have to say that the team that oversees the breakfast in the morning as well as the very nice woman that bartended last night and made some out of the world chocolate martini's for us are some of the best you will find in any resort. Also the gentleman at the front of the hotel that take you anywhere around the resort in a golf cart or car on a moments notice are also wonderful. And last but not least, the attendants that clean your room DAILY and offer Turn Down Service at night are also friendly and outgoing. From the complimentary buffet breakfast in the morning to the amazing scent you smell in the halls and when you first walk in the hotel - you know this is a special place that should not be missed!
