We recently stayed at Sonesta and had an absolutely fantastic experience. Gary and Josh (Front Dest) went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay. From the warm and welcoming reception to the attentive service provided. Every interaction was met with professionalism and genuine care. Lastly, the location of the hotel was ideal. It was conveniently situated near major attractions, and dining options, making it easy for us to explore the city without any hassle. We had a great stay. Thank you both and we hope to see you again soon.

We stayed here a few years ago as a result of an $89/night deal from Travelzoo. This time we took advantage of an $85/night offer that they had. Looking back at my previous review I noticed that there was no resort fee. Now there is a $25/night resort fee but the Travelzoo offer reduced it to $15/night. Once again we were very impressed with a studio room with full kitchen. Of course, due to Covid, their breakfast and happy hour items were not the same as before but they were still pretty impressive. Happy Hour 1st night - choice of pizza or salad w 2 drinks. My husband chose pizza & I salad so we could share. (pizza slices a bit small but we're not very big eaters). It was enough for us to skip restaurant dinner. The next night the choices were 2 pulled chicken sliders w/ chips or salad. Breakfast day 1 was scrambled eggs/link sausage & home fries; Day 2 was a breakfast sandwich on a bagel with home fries. Also available that day were oranges & yogurt. Drinks included coffee and orange juice. Along with 2 other couples we were very impressed with the cleanliness of the facility as well as the pool. I was quite happy that even though the outside temps were above 100, the pool's water temp made it refreshing but not cold. In the a.m. the water was just warm enough to also make it pleasant. The courtyard surrounding the pool is lovely and has plenty of seating. The only small complaint is that nowhere did we see that you could not bring your own alcoholic drinks into that area when the bar is open. I understand the reason but it should be printed somewhere on the info sheet. I also appreciated that there were no housekeeping services during our stay so no other people in the room. We would definitely go back if we see another Travelzoo offer. Another plus - there is a Sprouts supermarket within walking distance as well as various shops, the Village Tavern Restaurant & Panera Bread so no need to drive anywhere - just relax.

Easy to find boutique resort in beautiful Scottsdale. Easy checking pull right up to the door friendly staff in a gorgeous Arizona resort a room was awesome the middle area of a dining room kitchen and breakfast area and I need to side a suite with king size beds in your own bathrooms so immediately my entire family is in good moods awesome little patio overlooking the pool and let me tell you about the pool clean umbrellas tons of towels in the cutest female and male ducks You've ever seen. It was our entertainment for the day watching these two knuckleheads walk around play with each other etc.

I cannot say enough about the pool it was slightly cold which was awesome when you were laying out in 110° weather LOL the hot tub was awesome and the place is just a great great resort and I've stayed at 1 million hotels in my life do not pass this one up thank you everybody from the Gainey Ranch you made our vacation awesome and I mean that sincerely!you've ever seen. My wife and I stayed at the Sonesta Suites and it was very nice. You got a great breakfast every morning, included with the cost of your room, as well as a 5 - 7 Happy hour every night with appetizers.
The courtyard was very nice, with a heated pool, as well as a hot tub. The hotel is within walking distance of a mall area, where there is shopping, including a grocery store and 6 or 7 restaurants.
We had a great room, it actually had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. We also had a nice little patio area, which looked over the pool.

My wife and I took an extended w/e away to Scottsdale, staying at Sonesta Gainey Ranch. Service was excellent throughout our 5-night visit. Our King Studio Suite was clean, spacious and comfortable. The daily complimentary hot breakfast was great for “fueling up” for a day on the area hiking trails. Outside tables, too, if you prefer. The daily happy hour was very generous - essentially a basic dinner, so we went to restaurants just twice for that meal. The pool / spa area is cozy with plenty of lounge chairs in January (temps in the 70s). The hotel is just 5 miles from Old Town and 5 miles from Kierland, and adjacent to an upscale retail area including a supermarket. Highly recommended!

Check in was a 4pm. We sat in the lobby till 645pm till our room was ready. Our friends waited till 715pm. Others checking in were told the same thing...."your room is not ready".

We asked for a manager and her response was "we are lacking cleaning crews but this is a problem in all of Scottsdale". She was rude. This is a MANAGEMENT problem, they should have secured more cleaning crews. We checked into the Scottsdale Plaza Resort (recommend highly) a few nights later on a Friday night and they had both of our rooms available 2 hours early PRIOR to checkin. They must have better management or pay housekeeping more.

And please don't use the "due to covid" excuses...that is getting old. And, no daily cleaning service for anyone so I'm not sure why management can't staff appropriately.

We certainly understand your frustration and apologize for having to wait so long before your room was ready. I have been the General Manager of this hotel for many years and we have always strived to make every guest experience uniquely amazing and wonderful. It pains us deeply that we could not provide that experience upon arrival in the form of a timely check-in for you, your family, and friends. Together as a team, we will continue to focus on how we can improve and elevate the guest experience, and most of all, exceed our guests expectation. For us, every guest is a member of our extended hotel family and we want to welcome and take care of you in a manner that is nothing short of that. Of course, if I can ever be of assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out. Until then and on behalf of all of us, wishing you all the best, take good care and stay safe!

I would absolutely stay here again! I stayed in a cabana suite which had a full kitchen, a super comfortable bed, a living room area, a big walk-in shower, and sliding doors to my own private cabana. The pool at the hotel was perfect. Beautiful, clean, and the perfect temperature for the hot summer time. The staff is super nice, and the breakfast and happy hour snacks and drinks that are included in the price were wonderful!
You really cannot beat the price of this place, it was well below what you would pay for just a one-room hotel without a full kitchen.
The location is also perfect, you can walk to shops and you're minutes away from Old Town Scottsdale.
I wish I was there right now enjoying coffee in my cabana while the sun comes up.
I highly recommend staying here!

We arrived very early, front desk was very helpful in trying to get us checked in early. But, could not. During our day out and about a “Maintenance issue” happened to our Courtyard Suite.

They made other arrangements for our stay but it was not a room of the same grade and it was on the 3rd floor vs. The pool access.

No discount was offered however some daily fees (not sure how much and I was still charged a small daily fee) they also assembled a goodie bag with some treats and bar discounts. So that was nice.

Turns out the suite change was a blessing as a crew of sports teams full of young children arrived and dominated the pool and courtyard with loud noise and obnoxious behavior leaving us and many others to retreat back to their rooms. (This is not the resorts fault it is a result of poor up bringing)

I was hoping there would of been a courtyard attendant that could of curbed some of the noise an behavior.

All in all it wasn’t terrible, just not what I am used to I guess.

Probably won’t stay here again and if you look at my past travels we are habitual travelers.

Thank you to the staff that did try to accommodate us around some odd situations.

I was shocked that the trash was not removed from the room the entire 4 days nor was the linens replenished , I am thinking this is due to the covid cootie and expose to others and their things have been limited. If it wasn’t for covid then I find that rather off putting.

The food for breakfast and in the evening was very good, the mixed drinks at the bar were very good as well as the bartenders.

I rate this with a 3 of 5 solely based on room size, and the wonderful lady that continued to help us through our stay. If it were not for those things a two of five for price would’ve of been the score.

I was very disappointed in the accommodations.
I will list each issue out:
1. Pictures on the website are misleading. The hotel's common areas are very small. The pool was smaller than I expected.
2. Rooms- the kitchen was a nice touch. According to their website they were given the AAA award for cleanliness.
I disagree, there where random blond hairs all over my room, in the bathroom sinks, showers and floors. The carpeting was also dirty. My little ones feet were dirty from walking on the carpet in our room.
3. There was only one used roll of toilet paper in the room. I had to call and get more during the stay.
4. The staff was rude. The only pleasant employees were Chris and Tyous. The rest of the staff was rude and uninviting.
5. The hallway where our room was smelled like raw sewage the entire time. I called and complained and they sent a maintenance man who sprayed air freshener in the hallway!
When he saw that I was looking he asked me if there was a problem! Rude!
6. A family member asked about the bar and was told that it was open and that the drinks were not free. No one was asking for a free drink! Rude!

I was not pleased, nor was I impressed at the facilities!
I will not stay there again!

This suite style hotel is a nice family hotel. Rooms are spacious and we had everything we needed. Pool area is really lovely, although it closed at 8. In Arizona, it would be nice if they stayed open later. I wish we had more kcup pods. Only 3 for a 5 night stay. They did have coffee downstairs along with a breakfast box (fair at best). Snack (more like light meal) and beverage (entire bottle of wine!) between 5-6. We only were there 2 out of the 5 nights but it was nice. Great shower and very comfortable bed. I slept like a baby. Carpets could use replacing and the key card access didn’t work for the side entrance. Overall looks like a refurbished economy suite hotel chain, with a great pool. I would stay again, depending on what I needed for location, it is about 10 mins from downtown Scottsdale), but for the price we had during Covid summer it was great!

They have a pretty sizeable resort fee that always seems to get added onto whatever rate you have. I would call the hotel to confirm
