NoT a 4 star hotel! It was so rundown, our room was filthy- paint coming off walls, black marks in bathroom, tikes coming up in shower / just to make a few! The gym had drinks sitting there for 2 days! Half the rooms have a view of the parking lot! Service was terrible, attitude awful- this was supposed to be a special trip and they managed to kill that vibe. When told they did not care - it was AWFUL. RUN 2-3 star at best.
Very quaint, eclectic, fun vibe hotel. The food is outstanding, my hubby had the steak salad 2X! and I cannot speak enough about the staff and service, they went above and beyond. Rooms are very large and comfortable - I would stay here again and again. If you are looking for a place that is not an overcrowded standard resort this is it!
After a rough stay last year we decided to give The Scott a second chance, one because it is close to our daughter, second assuming Covid made it difficult to find good people a year ago. Well it was as bad as a year ago, they haven't improved a thing if anything the place looks a year older. The worst thing is the service, it is so bad that the restaurant asked us to go off property because they are "running an hour behind" we received this suggestion several times as they are trying to redirect business away from the kitchen. It is actually panful trying to get breakfast there. The place seems run by kids who haven't been trained whatsoever. Shame because the property Looks so good online and from the surface. We won't be giving it a third chance.
I checked on Thursday mid day and the woman checking me in asked if I would like first or second floor. I responded that I would just like something quiet. The woman gave me room #223. Horrible and u know she knew this when she’s checking me in! I was awaken by the housekeepers at 6:45am cause their staging area was right outside my room along with with the trash dumpster pick up. I ask to be changed and Trey who was wonderful got me a new room. After changing rooms I realized I left my shampoo, conditioner, razor, body soap in the room. They sent security looking for it- gone! So I had to go and by new. Then that night I realized I let my PJ’s in the room. Well nobody can fine those either! So disappointed in this hotel. The rooms are ok… not what I was expecting. This will definitely be my last time at the Scott and u might want to look somewhere else too!…
Nice stay. My husband and I loved the Scottsdale location- close to shopping, restaurants and quaint Old Town; and the hotel had a free shuttle to these places; the driving staff- John and Saidou were two of the nicest staff - very polite, accommodating and knowledgeable. The hotel lobby and grounds were beautiful and very well manicured but: The room decor was dated; and despite the rave reviews, the restaurant food was not good - the waffle, chicken sandwich and salad croutons had weird flavor/spice combinations, croutons were made out a hash and not crunchy. Overall very odd spices and flavor combos- luckily there were many other restaurants within shuttle distance from the hotel. We’d return only because of the location, staff and beautiful grounds
If your security is not important to you then sure by all means this is the place for you. I arrived to the Scott after a long 6 hour flight. Upon entry everything seemed to be nice. However the check in process was cringe and the young lady at the front desk clearly had no idea of what she was doing. After the acting manager Carloyn Anne came to help her thats when everything went down hill. I asked about amenities it became an issue, i asked about the hotel layout that also became an issue., I asked about room upgrades that was an issue. Finally I asked for my key and just went to my room. Along the way the hotel was over crowed with a convention. To get to my room I had to walk with my luggage's through the pool area where kids were splashing and everything is getting wet. For a "spa" styled hotel the rooms are in the layout of an INN.. Upon arriving to the building of my room housekeeping has dirty blankets all over the hallways. I go into my assigned room and to my surprise I find a NAKED MAN! Absolutely mortified I walk back to the front desk and kindly inform the staff of the mistake THEY made. I also noted that this situation they put myself and the other guest is dangerous and a safety hazard. The Carolyn Anne completely disregarded anything I said and rebulbed with "well our system shows the room is empty" So you'll have to wait until 4 when the next room is open. Doesn't apologies for a mistake they made doesn't offer to comp a meal or even a drink while I wait 6 hours. Doesn't offer any upgrades that are available. Just looks at me as if i were the problem. As someone who has been in customer service for 10plus years I was so disappointed in the lack of care. Not once did she seem empathetic or apologetic, nor was there any time she tried to rectify the situation and make me feel comfortable with actually staying. I collected my belongings and left the hotel. Would never suggest you stay. …
Great location, ambience, service and enjoyable food and drinks. Rooms comfortable and a relaxing few days with everything you need onsite. Staff very friendly and welcoming all round. Walking distance to old town restaurants and have shuttle on demand if needed.
Had the opportunity to stay at this location to celebrate my daughter birthday. This was an incredible experience from the room, wonderful service, restaurant was unbelievable and the pool area unbelievable. We had a 5 star experience in every area.
I stopped in for dinner and a drink because I heard the food was good. The atmosphere was great however the bartenders did not offer a good experience. I sat down and after 5 min I asked the bartender (who was just standing there the entire time) if I could order a glass of wine. I had a question about a wine and he had no idea how to answer it. My dinner was delicious. My water glass was empty for over 5 min and the bartender did not refill it. He stood behind the bar on his phone. I had to get his attention and ask for more water. I am giving a big Thumbs Up for the food and a big Thumbs down on the service. I don't think I will be back given the bad service I received.
Highly recommended! I loved the spaciousness and quality of light throughout the resort. The lobby was so inviting with several areas to sit to read or talk. The rooms I stayed in were clean and comfy with luxurious amenities here and there. The very best part of my stay at The Scott was the gracious and friendly staff. Very professional and attentive from the front desk people (amazing), the housekeeping crew and the van drivers. Amazing care for their guests! Thank you for the great care you gave me during my stay with you!
