Great property with a welcoming and spacious lobby that encourages gathering and conversation and that gets people out of their rooms and interacting with each other. The chess boards were a nice touch. The pool area has natural elements that create a relaxing atmosphere and the grounds, with their meandering paths, native plants, and nooks and crannies for quiet moments as well as spacious areas for larger groups, were well-maintained and intriguing. Overall, the food for our conference was the best of any hotel I have ever stayed. The restaurant menu was limited but more than sufficient. The staff is friendly and the rooms are spacious and nicely appointed. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay.
Stayed here briefly for a work trip. The hotel is beautiful and feels lush with an abundance of plants and beautiful decor. Great attention to detail in the decorating. The hotel feels very spacious with an abundance of seating inside and out. Nice firepits outside to enjoy the great weather with a drink, as well as a large pool (that I sadly didn’t get to take advantage of). Enjoyed that they have a “shuttle” service that can drive you anywhere within 3mi of the hotel. I had them drop me off in old town to walk around (about .5-1mi depending how far you go). They can also pick you up if you give them a call- a convenient way to get around if you are visiting and don’t have a car. I’d definitely recommend this beautiful hotel
Wheelchair user. Door gates pool too high. No access because upstairs rooms not accessible, no elevator. Front and all doors no access. Very disappointing. Was required to stay result of conference. If you are solo on trip a quad, or para, senior citizen with walker, any disabilities book different, accessible hotel.
Reservations were made based on positive recommendations, but my actual experience was lacking. All doors were difficult to open and close including the guest entry door which presents a safety concern when the door does not latch without a hard push. Once inside various surfaces had accumulations of dust and there was still decorations left from the previous guest. The lobby on the other hand was breath taking and the pool was perfect for relaxing in the sun/water. The shallow sandy beach area was perfect the kids though the hotel is primarily an adult destination. Perfect for social media pictures from afar, but leaves you disappointed when you look closely.
The Scott is a very cute boho style resort! My friends and I came here for my birthday and booked the parlor suite. It was supposed to have three beds; a king in one room and two queens in the other. When we walked in there was only two beds. This led to a lot of frustration as there was six of us. When I complained to the front desk they told us that when I made the reservation they were supposed to special request that set up and it was missed. They then informed me they were sold out and could bring us two roll away beds. At first they just wanted to take $100 off the reservation which I felt was not much for a huge mistake. They took off my reserved pool cabana and gave us a free round of drinks. The weekend was very uncomfortable as two of us had to squeeze into roll away beds. …
