I want to thank Darren and Liz for a wonderful stay at that romantic property. The breakfast was wonderful and the suggestions of where to eat were also great. Loved the broasted chicken from Texaco👍 The attention to detail in that home made it very special.

Just what the Dr. ordered...great place to distress for a few days. Darryn was a gracious host through it all, since I had made a late reservation and Liz was gone. I thoroughly enjoyed my getaway weekend with a great breakfast of smoothies and stuffed French toast. Watching the monsoons roll in was breathtaking and made me realize what a...

Wanted a nice B and B away from the crowds and this was perfect. Just a short distance on a dirt road but the oasis that waits for you is fantastic. The rooms were so comfortable and ours had a private patio that looked out onto the open fields where you could view many species of birds. There are paths...

I can't gush enough about this gem in the desert. My husband and I live in Tucson and selected Down By The River to unplug and relax for the weekend. We chose the Mission Room because it opened to the back patio. There we could sit and listen to the the birds singing and enjoy the lush green of the...

We stayed here last weekend for the second time. The B&B is under new ownership (Darryn and Liz) who have made some nice improvements to the place. We enjoy some of the attractions south/east of Tucson (Kartchner Caverns, San Pedro Riparian, Tombstone, San Pedro Observatory) so we prefer to not stay right in the city of Tucson. Getting to Down...

What a magnificent place to stay! The building and rooms are so unique, only 4 clean and beautifully decorated rooms. Breakfast deliciously made by the owner, Darren who is also fun to be around. If you want to feel like you have your own private retreat, stay here. Quiet, out of the ordinary and relaxing.

This past weekend we stayed at the most wonderful B&B. Down By the River is a beautiful sprawling hacienda that is so comfortable. The first evening we arrived they had a birthday cake and card for us. The next two days were filled with fabulous breakfasts and comfortable evenings. It is well out of town so the stars and planets...

The Santa Fe style building is lovely, with lots of room to hang out, play pool, or just relax. The hosts are wonderful, and the breakfasts are totally amazing. We stayed four nights and want to go back. A walk along the San Pedro river was great.

Had a fabulous 5 night stay at Down by the River!! Liz and Darryn couldn't have been more accommodating and enjoyable. Breakfast was wonderful everyday. Rooms are very quaint, clean and comfortable. The skies are a stargazers dream. It is off the beaten path but so worth the drive.
