We had a wonderful time. The hosts were so patient with the kids and so generous with their time. Great escape. Food was amazing and so were the accommodations. Horse back riding down the canyon is a must. Also getting a ride on the carriage pulled by the miniature horses was awesome.

D. D. Gamble Guest Lodge is an absolute gem!! The lodge is comfortable, warm, and has tons of character and personal touches that Tom and Alicia (the owners) have integrated. Their home cooked breakfasts and dinners were hearty and good -- but most of all, having some time with Tom and Alicia during meals made our stay especially lovely. They...

David, we enjoyed your visit also. We are glad you enjoyed your hike in Horseshoe. I just wish, I had been able to go with you to show you the various historical sites back there. Maybe when you and your wife are here we will be able to do so. We look forward to meeting your wife and your next...

This guest lodge is very unique. Actually a ranch with "minny" horses and cattle. Also, horses to ride and a terrific trail ride into the canyon. My wife and I do not ride (our friends did) but we came along in a ATV. We all had a blast! Accommodations were charming and we thought we were staying in the "Old...

Two hiking buddies and I recently stayed at the D.D. Gamble Guest Lodge and Ranch for three nights on our first trip to Chiricahua National Monument and the Chiricahua Wilderness. It was a great find! Tom and Alicia are wonderful hosts -- knowledgeable and anxious to be of help in facilitating a great visit to a marvelous locale. The rates...

Joe, It was a pleasure having you, Don, and Ron here. We enjoyed your company. You walked Horseshoe Canyon at almost the same speed as when ride it on horse back. You told us you were hikers; but we didn't realize you were "speed hikers". We told Dulcinea of your special mention. She sends her thanks. Tom and Alicia

Myself, husband and two sons- Nate-8 Cole 6. The men had fun trail riding. I did not take part due to being pregnant. All the horses were beautiful and very bell kept. The kids we entertained thoroughly with min horses to pet and brush. There was lots of land for them to run to check on one animal to the...

Two healing heroes and their families enjoyed splendid food, outdoor fun, and the opportunity to just relax in a very comfortable and friendly setting. The smiles on each person's face said it all. Priceless! Watching the spouses smile and relax was just as important, and they were able to do that. Tom and Alicia host with grace and a warmth...

We sponsor young military families for weekends at DD Gamble. All of our military families rave about DD Gamble as a fun place for the family. The families have great stories about their experiences with the ranch animals, especially the very calm and well trained miniature horses. Tom and Alicia do an excellent job in providing a fun weekend for...

Love the peacefulness of this 300+ acre ranch filled with miniature horses, horses, ponies, mules, cattle, Great Danes, etc. Tom and Alicia were wonderful hosts and, in addition, were full of good info, funny stories, and history. It was heartwarming to hear about how their miniature horses have emotionally touched people - Guidebook type of stories. These horses are being...

Tom and Alicia went above and beyond as our hosts this last weekend. We stayed one night this week. The lodge itself is a rock building that is charming and so comfy. Tom and Alicia were welcoming and gracious. The meals were just terrific --- including homemade ice cream! The miniature horses were friendly and so cute, and they are also service animals who visit patients at the VA. I couldn't help but...
