Checked in this hotel around 5PM local hotel time. Wendy was very helpful at the front desk and kindly gave us information about our room, breakfast hours, etc. Comfortable beds, would personally prefer if the rooms were a little larger but at such a great price, it does not matter, especially for the service you get from the staff. Breakfast had a great selection of various hot items, from scrambled eggs and sausage to 24/7 free coffee and tea in the dining area. Surprisingly, among the various nights we have spent during this trip, this one turned out to be the cheapest and the most enjoyable. We would definitely come back to this hotel if we were in the area. It is conveniently located next to the highway and a gas station.

I used to be a regular here for one-nighters while traveling to Phoenix. Under a new management, this motel is still a solid option in the budget category, with a nice new touch: soothing classic music in the lobby. Granted, don’t expect much more beyond classic accommodation basics: the tiny pool will make you feel like you are sharing a batthub with perfect strangers (who don’t necessarily share common standards of personal hygiene); wi-fi is non-existent in some rooms; and they do make mistakes, as anyone: on my first visit, A/C was turned off and it took the best part of the afternoon to take away a feeling of being BBQed in my bed. But staff is friendly, rooms are clean, they serve bacon slices for breakfast, and everything basic is working. For the kind of rates you get with early booking, especially in summer, I say they are doing a great job. Recommended to solo travelers or couples/families not too particular about space.

The hotel was a bit far from the airport (30 min drive) but worth it for a budget conscious family. The staff were helpful at the front desk. The room was clean with TV ( many channels), cold fridge, safe box and a really good air conditioner. We had 2 double beds so okay ( would have preferred queen) and my son slept on the one while my wife and I on the other. The bathroom was slightly dated but clean with the sink outside which is not an option I like. The breakfast and parking are free. The breakfast had toast, English muffins, French toast ( pre made) and a waffle maker. They had cereals, yogurt and boiled eggs. I did not like the coffee so I tried the tea which was fine. The orange and apple juice was not to my son’s liking. Overall, this in not the Hampton Inn however neither is the price. We stayed for two nights so it was fine.

My upstairs room looked just like the pictures on the Choice website (looked like it was recently remodeled) and was absolutely sparkling clean! Towels were white as snow and fluffy. Air conditioner was quiet and worked amazingly well. My room was closer to the I-17, but I did not hear traffic from freeway in my room. As others have commented, you could not find a more cheerful and friendly, more gracious and welcoming, or conscientious staff than those found here at this Sleep Inn North Phoenix. I found the breakfast to be VERY good for a budget hotel where both hot and cold options were offered including eggs and bacon. Food was regularly replenished by a designated attendant, and the breakfast area was VERY clean. The pool is smallish without any landscaping, and the jacuzzi was closed... seemed like for repairs or remodeling. Besides people were smoking at tables close to pool area, so this discouraged me from using pool. Guest laundry room was also closed during my stay. Easy on and off from Interstate 17. I gave this Sleep Inn a four instead of five because: 1) Parking was difficult with very small spaces, and a limited amount of spaces. 2) A gentleman guest was carrying the hotel's toilet plunger down the hallway to his room when I was checking in - NEVER a good sign in my book. Later.... said plunger was left at the head of hallway next to the wall (albeit wrapped in a white garbage bag). Ewwww! However, it is important to note that I personally had no plumbing problems during my stay. 3) My room was a bit stuffy and smelled funny when I first arrived which was off-putting, but I opened up the window for a little bit and all was soon fine. 4) Pet fee was VERY expensive for a "pet-friendly" budget hotel ($50 which can defeat the purpose of utilizing a budget hotel in the first place). Finally, the television in my room was set to start up to the Republican "friendly" cable news station NO MATTER what the last station viewed on the TV was. This same station was also on in the breakfast room, so probably not just a fluke! So depending on your political persuasion, this fact could be "totally awesome," "completely agitating," or "simply annoying"!! That said... my stay was a "very good" experience for a budget hotel.
