Unfortunately the weather was a little too cold to really enjoy the resort but they still charge you a resort fee whether you use it or not. We stayed in a King Agave Suite in the North Pointe building. Our room was clean and spacious. Plenty of room for two people to work remotely and not interrupt each other. I wish there were some more food options available during COVID, but I think they are doing the best they can under these circumstances. They gave us a $20 credit per day to spend on food since we are Hilton Honors Gold members and breakfast wasn't being served. I wish we could have actually used the resort, but we can't control the weather.

Hotel's Favorite
My family and I stayed at the Hilton Squaw Peak in June on our way to California. We liked it so much, we stopped again on our way back from California. While it’s not a super luxury resort, it has a certain old world charm and atmosphere absent in many modern hotels. The hotel is nestled in a quaint residential area and is surrounded by lovely mountain vistas. Great sunsets! There is a local Mexican restaurant next door with romantic patio seating that we loved. The pool complex is impressive, especially for kiddos. The wait time to get a simple soda was exhaustive , and they were clearly grossly understaffed at the pool snack bar. However, you just can’t beat the value here. Because of the favorable pricing and the pool destination, this place attracts heavy crowds. My one complaint is that the trash cans were all overflowing and the parking lots were littered and dirty.. lots of sloppy, unmannered guests but not the fault of the hotel. A few more maintenance workers might be needed. Overall, just a really neat place with a nostalgic flair... an older property but well preserved. We could be in the upscale, Scottsdale shopping and dining areas in 10 minutes. Very enjoyable!

I traveled 7.5 hours by car to visit my autistic son and specifically picked this hotel for their lazy river, so he could visit and have some fun. I arrived with my ESA animal (documents from an actual doctor in hand) and they charged me a $75.00 PET fee (non-refundable), after my drive I needed to get settled, otherwise I would have left then and there. I took the elevator (with no a/c in Arizona!?!) to my floor, could see the one pool that was open (they have two) from there and there was zero social distancing going on. I get to my room, the carpet looks filthy (I forgot, I was "upgraded" to this), put my cosmetic bag on the counter to get ready to find a place for dinner and I see someone's hair band (yuck) next to the toiletries. Nothing was open to eat there, so had to walk a couple blocks to the only restuarant close. Prior to leaving I was bombarded with text messages about how they were doing, which I replied, not so good! I was told I should have checked as to my ESA animal, I have never heard of such a thing, I guess they don't know the difference between Pet and ESA! I told them I will be making reservations elsewhere and checking out in the morning (which I did). I took a shower in the morning, to find black hair in the tub, on the shower wall, and the back of the door, I am bright blonde, so not mine! The place is run down, tired, and would save my money and go elsewhere like I did. Oh, I forgot, they charged me a resort fee of $35.00, for using nothing there, that they did refund, prior to the refund that one night cost me almost 300.00 on a weekday, Hilton will not receive another dime from me!

Stayed one night on Saturday. The rooms are clean but a little dated. The pools, lazy river and mini golf were fun and included in the resort fees. Drinks at the pool are $10+ each. No restaurant service available during our stay because of COVID-19 so I can’t review it. Good overall value for the money if you are not looking for a modern look or room amenities.
