The property can be challenging to find the first time visiting. It was clean, and well manicured. The service was above average. The tub was really big. There was a balcony door that opened, but no actual balcony.

Hotel's Favorite
My 2 nights / 3 day stay at Royal Palms was the highlight of my 3 night / 4 day trip to Scottsdale for Thanksgiving. During this period, I additionally stayed at the Phoenician (as a Marriott Ambassador member) and visited 4 other resorts (Fairmont, Scott Resort, The Sanctuary, and Andaz), and none were even close in terms of beauty or service as Royal Palms. I want to give a special shout out to Mina Garcia who provided the warmest welcome for my entire family and ensured that we received the utmost care and attention since check-in to check-out. Mina as well as the GM, Carlo, truly made me feel valued as a Hyatt Globalist member - from welcome champagne to a dedicated resort tour by Mina to a handwritten card from Carlo with 2 free cocktails at Mix Up. The staff also offered me an upgrade from a 2 queen bed standard room to a casita, which only have 1 King beds. As we had 3 members in the family, they provided us with the option of taking the upgrade to a casita with a roll away bed. Our casita was in a semi-private area facing the Camelback mountains and next to a pathway to T Cooks. The room had a toasty fireplace, the most comfortable bed (my parents melted into it), a shower and a large soaking tub with soap rose petals, scrub sponge, and a caddy to hold it all (so cute!). We The resort grounds were flawless as well - we were blown away by the unique desert-themed exterior, cleanliness, and the pure magical ambience from the resort (so magical that I have even added Royal Palms to my list of future wedding venues). We ended up skipping our dedicated day hike to Camelback mountain to further explore every inch of the resort grounds instead. Additionally, we had breakfast at T Cooks (a fantastic way to kick off the morning with fresh air on the beautiful patio seating and delicious breakfast) and 2 lunches at the Cabana Cafe (also fantastic service/care). Tremendous thank you again, and Hyatt should be incredibly proud to have this remarkable resort as part of its collection! Next time I'm back, I will certainly be sure to try their renowned spa, Alvadora, and drinks at Mix Up!

We just finished a wonderful 2 night stay at the Royal Palms and wish it could have been longer! The hotel staff was friendly and attentive, at the front desk, the pool, and via text--they brought us coffee pods at 7:39 am when I realized late the night before that we were out! Anything we asked for was brought whenever we wanted it. Had an excellent dinner at TJ Cook's, with a great drink, a Rose Collins. Special shout out to Sydney at the front desk for walking us to our room on arrival so we wouldn't wander around lost!

This resort was fantastic from start to finish. The location was perfect, the grounds were impeccable and the staff was amazing. Beginning with the reception staff - she thoroughly explained everything, gave us a room upgrade, walked us to our rooms and gave us a tour of the property. We were also greeted with champagne and cold water. The bellmen were awesome - they joked around with us whenever we were waiting for our Lyft and gave great dining recommendations. They didn't have to engage us, but they always went out of their way to do so. ALWAYS. Every time we returned to the property, they rushed to open the car doors for us. They definitely made us feel like VIP's. Housekeeping was incredible - everything was spotless, and they managed to swoop in and clean our room as soon as we left it. WE NEVER SAW THEM, and we NEVER came back to an unclean room!! The grounds are beautiful - so much lush foliage. We were in a casita and we could either sit in front in a courtyard, facing other casitas, or on the back for privacy. No matter where we were, we were surrounded by beautiful plants and trees and lots of cacti! There are also lots of lounge areas tucked away in little nooks all over the property. There were lots of activities planned, so there was always something to do during our downtime at the resort. We attended a yoga class and Latin night. They were setting up mechanical bull riding on the night of our departure. Other activities we missed because of our own conflicts were movie night and the Mixology happy hours. The pool was great too. The cabanas are reservable for a decent price. The food out there was kind of meh, but the drinks were PERFECT. They also had unlimited ice water, masks and sunscreen. The pool floats were nice too The only negative we experienced was our waitress at T-Cook's the morning of 5/28. Dark hair, older woman who appeared to be training someone. My daughter asked for the 2-egg breakfast AND an order of berries. When her plate came out, we asked where were her hash browns. The waitress rudely told us they selected the hash browns to replace with the berries, and turned and walked off. We didn't ask for any substitutions and when she saw they made an error, there was no apology or offer to fix it. It wasn't a huge deal, but literally EVERYONE else at the resort is pleasant and accommodating, so her behavior really stood out. Overall, we wouldn't hesitate to return to this resort if we come back to Phoenix!

Dear GeorgiaPeach321 - Thank you so much for taking a moment to share this detailed account of your stay with us. We were happy to see you mention the wonderful Sydney by name, and will be sure to share the accolades with her. We take great pride in organizing a schedule of programming for our guests that suits their travel plans and interests, and are delighted to see the options interested you. We hope you are able to participate the next time you are with us. We are disappointed to hear of the interaction at T.Cooks over breakfast, and appreciate you sharing these details so we may look into this further. It is our priority to make all accommodations necessary for our guests to enjoy their time with us, and it was disheartening to hear this interaction at breakfast missed the mark. We do hope to welcome you back to Royal Palms in the future, and appreciate all of your kind feedback. Thank you.
