    A gem in the desert
What a beautiful, charming resort. We stayed here 4 nights as my husband had work commitments in Phoenix. Check in was fast and easy. Our room was ready, even though we were slightly early for check in. Room was clean with a balcony with 2 chairs and a table out there. Bathroom had a large tub and separate shower. We asked for a fridge to be delivered to our room, and it was in our room within minutes. We ate breakfast every morning at the restaurant which was delicious. The true star, or should I say stars, if this resort is it’s employees. Every single employee we encountered was friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had what we requested or needed. We loved our morning breakfast servers! They are truly the best. We’ve stayed at resorts around the world, and this ranks up there with the best.
Hello Lisa964, Thank you very much for your thoughtful review and sharing about your recent visit. We are so happy to know you enjoyed your time on property, including the room, restaurants and interactions with our staff. We look forward to sharing this feedback with our teams, and of course look forward to having you back at the resort soon!

    Perfect Place to Propose
I want to start this out with a HUGE shoutout to Danielle Crovo, the Assistant Event Services Manager. She made sure our entire experience at the resort was perfect including upgrading our room and being my go-to for all details of my proposal. Royal Palms offers a private dining service called Via Cappello where you can book an intimate, personalized dining experience with your own menu. This was the perfect setting for a proposal. At my request they printed a quote I always say to my girlfriend on our menus and even played the exact music I requested for the big moment. Another shoutout to the restaurant manager Alanis for her flawless execution of the entire experience and timing everything superbly. My fiancé was on cloud 9 as we strolled back to our room and, thanks again to Danielle, she still had one more surprise waiting for her. We got back to our room to find rose petals, candles, and a bottle of champagne waiting for us. Again, I couldn’t have asked for a service to be better executed. Outside of our amazing evening, we had nothing but great service and relaxation. The grounds are immaculately kept and the old architecture and lush vegetation honestly made us feel like we were in an Indiana Jones movie. We took several strolls around the grounds just to check out all the fountains and little nooks. The entire ambiance of the resort is just intimate and romantic. The pool was kept very clean and the pool attendants made sure our drinks were never empty. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Danielle, Alanis, and team really knocked it out of the park for me and Royal Palms is my official choice for all future staycations going forward because of it. Thank you again to everyone that made our stay so great!

    Wonderful 4 day getaway!
All around great stay even when the weather hit 110 degrees. Staff was extremely nice and professional. Check in was a breeze, even allowing us to check in quite early (around 12:30PM). Initial room was quite a far walk from the pool and was fairly dark, receptionist was extremely kind and showed us a few different rooms to better suit our stay. Not once did she make it seem like a burden or any sort of an inconvenience. The grounds are absolutely stunning and unlike any place I've stayed in Scottsdale. I only wish it wasn't such extreme heat, as I would have enjoyed exploring them a bit more. There are many places to stay in the area, but this is truly a gem. Would absolutely return.

I was making a reservation at the spa for my husband and me to get a massage. The woman who was helping me seemed irritated and uninterested. After 15 minutes of giving her my information to confirm our spa visit, she realized she had looked at the wrong date, and they did not have the the date I wanted. Ugh. I told her that we would not be able to make the reservation and to cancel because the day was incorrect. I thought I was done, but then I get a call the next morning confirming that I am on may way for my spa visit. She clearly did not cancel my information, and booked us for two massages on the wrong day. I feel bad for the employees that were scheduled based on her error. I called to explain that we had never booked the spa for that date. The woman I spoke with was beyond rude. So if you want a snooty spa experience where you are treated as inferior and an annoyance, then this is the place for you. Shame on these employees! Especially at a resort that attracts high level, high net worth customers. I will be surprised if they did not charge my credit card for a no show.

Solid hotel for a 3 star. Feels like a run down and once grand hotel. Tons of stuff broken, not working, loud humming in bathroom and flickering lights when air conditioning goes on or off, algae and filthy brown tiles in jacuzzi in women's spa, lackluster massage at $240, etc. Their spa is nothing like the other 5 star hotels--no sauna, no indoor pool, etc. Rooms should be about $200. If you are expecting 5 star service and amenities, you're not going to get it here.

Beautiful place to stay! Charming and quiet place giving you all the amenities of a hotel without making you feel like you are at a hotel. We received personal service from very professional staff our entire stay. Rooms were clean and the property is well kept. The spa is amazing too. I highly recommend spending time at the spa. There is one restaurant and one bar (serves food too). Live music at the bar on Friday and Saturday nights was wonderful! We will definitely be coming back to this Hyatt property!

I have wanted to stay at the Royal Palms for many years, after hearing about how beautiful the property was. A recent business trip afforded me that opportunity. EVERYTHING was spectacular. The check-in process makes you feel like a VIP from the second you step out of your car into the impressive entrance. The gentleman that walked me to my cacita gave me a brief history of the property, which I am definitely planning to read more about. The rooms are awesome. You feel like you're in your own little house at the base of Camelback Mountain and, even though I didn't have a view of the mountain, the property is so beautiful that I felt like a queen. Everyone was so nice and accomodating that you will find yourself thinking about this hotel days after you leave...or maybe figuring out just how you can stay forever.

The Royal Palms is a peaceful, luxurious, beautiful place to stay, with the highest level of customer service. The beautiful fountains and sound of trickling water throughout the beautiful niche gardens are very relaxing and enjoyable. You'll definitely want to go back, and don't forget to ask about the History Tour by Barbara !

My wife and I visit Phoenix/Scottsdale every year and found the Royal Palms to be the best resort in which we've stayed. Upon check-in we received complimentary champagne and were given a short history of the property while being personally escorted to our room overlooking Camelback Mountain. The grounds and the view are amazing, and you get the feel of a quiet Mediterranean getaway. We spent a lot of time at the pool and we want to give a special call-out to Anthony and Rachel for the best poolside service we've ever received. The food at the pool was excellent, as was the dinner at TJ. Cooks. We will be back!

The Royal Palms Resort and Spa was an amazing place to stay! Everything from the quick and smooth check-in, to the complimentary, introductory cocktail to celebrate their 75th anniversary, to the great bar, to the great breakfast choices at T. Cooks restaurant, and the very, very nice spa area (shout out to Crystal for being very gracious and welcoming) was fantastic!!!!!! Will definitely visit again!

We stayed at the Royal Palms for the Labor Day weekend of 2023. The staff was incredible and the service was exceptional. The grounds are amazing to say the least. It took us four separate walks to find all of the little nooks and hangouts on the property. The Royal Palms was amazing and we will definitely be staying there again.
