My room was clean, the bed was fine, and breakfasts were good - just what you'd expect. I especially enjoyed eating my breakfast on the patio outside the restaurant. The real distinction for me was the quality of the staff. Warren helped me get a box I'd shipped up to my room. Because I'm recovering from a shoulder injury, that... More

I found the hotel to be very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only issue was the manager who was not friendly or helpful when I asked for directions to a nearby restaurant.

We arrived around 8pm on a Saturday night to find 3 different events at the hotel and no easy parking. We ended up two flights up, had to walk down the stairs, fairly remote and dark. So just beware. On the plus side, the staff was genuinely helpful and sympathetic. The breakfast is one of the best I've had, the... More

Reserved two Queen beds, room had 1 lumpy King. Key cards incorrectly keyed. Refrigerator had been removed from room. TV signal lost periodically. At checkout tried to charge me for 4 nights, had only stayed 1 night. Did finally comp me the room due to all of the above.

I typically stay at this hotel at least once every 6 weeks, often once a month. They have the friendliest hotel staff I have ever encountered, and that is my primary reason for returning. From Giles at the front desk to Parker at the bar, everyone goes out of their way to make you feel at home. The grounds are... More

I have stayed in many hotels in this country from 3 stars to 5, and I have to say this is one of the worse experiences I have ever had. First the area feels desolate and unsafe especially after dark. Secondly everything and I mean everything is old and unclean. The carpet is almost black in places and worn. Windows... More

Ok room with view of adult bookstore and parking lot. No internet. Staff was not forthcoming about internet. One employee suggested using the hallway and then backing into room to lock connection. Finally when to elevator area and got online. Real bad attitude with superior when I asked to leave early. Good stuff: Nice breakfast. Friendly staff outside of front... More

We are from Tucson, and had to travel to Phoenix for our daughter's neurosurgery at Barrow's to remove a benign brain tumor. We checked into this hotel due to the star rating, and the proximity to Phoenix Children's Hospital. Upon checking in at roughly 7pm, the male attendant was completely un-welcoming and rude. I asked a question about initialing a... More
