Stayed 5 nights..... Not knowing layout of city, this is about 7 blocks down, 3 blocks along to Diamondbacks stadium and start of Phoenix heart. Easy to walk to centre, + fi d Metro service. For $2a day (seniors or $4most adults) you can ride all day. Excellent transport system taking you to all four corners of Phoenix valley. We loved Mesa and Tempe and Scottsdale.

Super sketchy. Multiple Homeless people at the edge of the parking, set up with their housing.1 guest ranting about his breakup and pacing everywhere while wearing a security jacket. Did not feel safe. Wouldn't suggest if you are checking in at dark. Bed had a sheet and light top blanket but no spares.

I read all the review about the hotel, not encouraging at all. I had to stay a night with a colleague. Firstly, is close to the airport, which is a plus. The cab driver that took me there told me to be safe, frankly, they have loads of really dodgy people around but no one bothered us . The room was clean and comfortable, the staffs are just okay, though they look weird.I had dinner at the restaurant, it was affordable and really nice.

I would advice you stay if you are just passing, not for leisure.

Attempted to book room through Booking.com. Booking.com declined my credit card; so I booked elsewhere. About three hours later I was charged $57.27 for a room that I didn't even get to stay in. If Booking.com has issues with payment types, I would imagine there would be some communication of this. It's ridiculous that I would be charged for the room or a cancellation fee because Booking.com messed up.

I can not believe they can rent out these rooms the carpet was so old that we were scared to walk on it., plus the room really smelled.
The noise of the freeway was so loud and could not get to sleep.
So I went to the frt desk they were no rooms available only smoking rooms.
I saw plenty of rooms not rented out, we could get our money back
But were so tired on our travel, my wife could not go any further.

me and my wife stayed at the eazy 8. oct 2014 and we will never stay there again my wife was walking to the store at 2 in the afternoon and was stopped by the manager and accused of being a prostitute. when it was confirmed that we were registered guests she left my wife alone but it was shocking to me that with all the drug activity and a lady who hangs out there by the name of CASSANDRA DREYTON who has propositioned me on several occasions and asked me for money while i was at my truck folding my pads that this manager ms. CAROLYN BAUGHN, would bother my wife who also has A CDL. we have called and spoke to the manager and were hung up on we have been staying at this hotel for over15 yrs. but never again. and you can't even walk to get breakfast without the lumpers bugging you for work i come there to rest. we have never beendisrespected like this at any hotel.

Traveling unexpectedly to Phoenix I was forced to stay in a motel that was inexpensive. I reluctantly chose the EZ 8 because you can't beat the price and so close to the airport. I arrived in the early evening and was a little put off by all of the people kind of milling around. No one bothered me or made me feel uncomfortable I just found it odd. Quite frankly the outside of the motel looks a little rough. I was expecting the same for the room. Wow was I surprised. The room was clean, the housekeeping staff was very pleasant and brought me a couple extra towels with a smile to boot. The room was quiet and even though the TV was a little old it worked fine and served it's purpose. You can hardly expect state of the art electronics when you're paying 40.00 for a room. All in all I was quite pleased and would stay again.

We arrived on a Friday night and it was a culture shock. Marijuana dealers, prostitutes, guys walking around in baggy clothes, we were a little scared. During the day however, most of the scary and creepy are hiding or sleeping, and it's really not SO bad. I just highly recommend not walking around alone at night, be smart.

It worked for a cheap place to stay. The worst that happened was one chick walking around trying to sell us a TV (probably stolen) and another who tried to solicit "fun time" from one person in our party for money. The cops were called one of the nights but it was over a dumb short-lived dispute in the parking lot, nothing crazy.

The cleaning ladies seemed trustworthy enough. They won't change your sheets if you have a personal item laying on the bed and they always left more than enough soaps and plastic cups.

I saw somewhere online and have seen here in reviews that there was at one time mini fridges in the rooms. None of our rooms had mini fridges FYI. They might have been removed. Also there are no hair dryers, microwaves or safes, and those tiny shampoos and conditioners are not included. (You can buy them from a vending machine near the lobby, DUMB!) --- Also, NO FREE WIFI! This place needs to get with the times. (Cost was $5/day or there was a deal for 7 days I think. McDonalds in walking distance, maybe go there for WIFI.)

There was a pool but it was too cold to use. Apparently some people in our party said the hot tub was nice and relaxing. - Again I recommend using these things in the middle of the day sometime. Although to get into the pool and hot tub you need to have a key card, so that's nice.

Lots of parking here, even for big trucks, including semi trucks.

The bar attached to the motel has pretty decent food, and they serve food late - which we took advantage of a few times. (Hand breaded giant chicken strips, sweet potato fries, giant buffalo chicken wings) They always had a bouncer out front or two, which made me feel safer. Unfortunately, we heard from a bar tender that the owner of the bar isn't in to having "Happy Hour" or any sort of specials. Sad. The bar itself is a little dingy, definitely a trucker bar, but it has a homey feel which I like. (I'm used to small dingy bars.)

OH, I almost forgot to mention that this motel is right in the flight path of jets taking off. The noise usually ends before 10pm though and starts up around 7am, sometimes earlier or later on the weekends. It can be annoying because it's pretty loud but we got used to it, especially if you have a fan or the AC on to drown it out.

All in all, the motel was kind of sad, kind of sketchy, but it worked for what we needed and none of us got hurt, shanked, or completely terrified out of our wits. It's a cheap option that works, but if you can afford a little more at a different location, please do.

No warning its in the ghetto with druggies and prostitutes! Ive never felt so unsafe in all my time. Heard 1 girl in a short dress saying to a delivery guy that it's only $200 an hour. And walking to Mcdonalds close by had a guy approach us asking for not money, but weed. No phone book, and had to pay 25 cents for local calls. Really noisy, right beside a major interstate, and airplanes flying by just overhead every minute or 2. Pay extra for pool or hot tub. ( But would'nt chance it anyway ) $5 extra night for fridge. Free wifi. If you pay extra? Pillow top beds??? Yea ok, a joke. No tv guide with a tiny 14 inch tv. And no microwave!!! trying to think of any positives??? The room was fairly clean, and the girls at the front desk were nice!

I was grateful the location was near my destination as well as the 17 Freeway. The front desk staff were friendly despite it being quite busy during check in.

There's a McDonald's and Taco Bell in the same parking lot plus a Country Boys restaurant attached to the motel. Across the street is a Mexican food restaurant and liquor store.

The property itself is quite spacious with a pool, jacuzzi, and outdoor tables/grills. The room itself was a good size with usual amenities, thought I was given one with two beds despite booking a single. Unfortunately neither bed was too comfortable, felt uneven and hard to get comfortable.

Surprisingly, no level of wi-fi access is free at this location. Also, it was odd that my room had a tube television as I had not seen one of those in many years. On top of that, there was no remote for the TV so I had to get one from the front desk.

I also informed them the smoke detector was on the nightstand rather than in the slot on the wall (didn't fit). Strangely, most of the outlets were loose, which made it tough to secure anything with 2 prongs.

The motel has a policy about showing IDs of anyone coming to your room or else you are kicked out. Maybe there used to be issues with prostitution or homeless here?

Lastly, check-in is 3pm. I arrived shortly after 4pm and had to wait until nearly 4:30 until my room was ready.

If you are looking for a throw back motel, check out this EZ-8.
