My friend booked the rooms in advance for our trip to see Fleetwood Mac. When my husband and I arrived we were surprised to see that this hotel wasn't a huge building like most hotels in downtown Phoenix. That turned out to be such a wonderful thing. Parking was easy and the location was great. The more intimate style of...

This place is hard to review. When I walked in the front desk person, Kay, was amazing. She was extremely helpful and friendly. The actually hotel is odd, my room faced out to an open walkway which overlooked the pool. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable the bathroom was small and nothing special. The room looked good from the...

Beautiful and unique property, staff very friendly. The atmosphere is just perfect, even when the hotel it's in the middle of the city it feels like you're somewhere else. The amenities are very generous and rooms very nice and clean. The food at Gallo Blanco Restaurant on property is so good!

Do not let the drive from the interstate (I-17) to the hotel's neighborhood scare you. Once at the hotel our minds were put at ease. Upon check-in, previous reviews regarding the front desk staff attitude showed. There wasn't the warm, welcoming, helpful attitude that should have gone alone with how the hotel marketed itself from outside. The suite was very...

Our experience with the front desk was not great. The clerk was snotty and condescending. Staff at Gallo Blanco were very neglectful, but the food was good. Overall vibe of both is hipster wanna be. You are not a hipster if you have to try that hard. My room was not clean, they seriously need to look around. The headboard...

Found the Clarendon staff to be most friendly and accommodating - exceeding expectations. Room was very clean and adequately furnished and cleaned daily. The manager's wine tasting (free) and the rooftop sitting area was great. Will plan to return.

The Clarendon is obviously an older, maybe 70s property, which they are trying hard to give a new, metro vibe. The rooms have been redone with that in mind and many little perks are in place: free snacks, free bikes, yoga classes. But....the rooms were never designed from the ground up to be upscale hotel rooms. So, you end up...

We booked directly online and requested an end of the hall king suite. Prior to going retiring for the night, we noticed lots of dogs and families around the property. Wine (for the wine hour) stayed in the back office as there was no one around. Went for a dip in the pool and a large family came in and...

This is a great hotel. From the outside all the way through. The pool is truly an escape from the ordinary. There's little touches all throughout the hotel that make it a fun place to stay. Free wine tastings in the evening in the lobby. Your room is 24 hours which means from the time you check in you can...

Nice hotel, a little on the old side and needs some refurbishing but OK for the money. They give away a lot of freebies, like free bike hire, wine tasting and snacks although depending on the staff member on duty the snacks are behind the bar and need to be requested and you get to be made to feel like...
