I came with a large bachelorette group at the end of April. The rooms were clean and nice. Even better were the friendly front desk staff. With a large group, it can get noisy and people asked some of the same questions. The staff were very patient and addressed all our questions. We interacted with Luis the most, as he was also on duty in the evening, and he kindly helped us take group photos and find transportation. Thanks for making our stay a great experience!

We stayed for a week. Our room was on the 5th floor, it was spacious and clean. I agree with others that the staff is great at this hotel. Their breakfast has so many options: I was positively surprised seeing different cheeses and cold cuts every day. Staff makes sure the breakfast items are restocked. There is always hot coffee/water available in the lobby. The pool is clean and open until 11 pm. Free parking is a big plus. The area is safe. Would definitely stay here again.

I'm Titanium level with Marriott which only means I've stayed at a lot of Marriotts. Does that make me too critical? Possibly. That being said, this hotel has so many great qualities that I would love to rate it 4.5 stars but can't. So here goes: Pros: Wonderful staff. Truly warm and pleasant. I never felt they were going through the motions; they just seemed to be enjoying what they are doing. I came down to the lobby several hours after I checked in and was still called by name. Wow! Very impressive. They were also very well trained. We travel with a service dog for my husband and they were very attuned to that. Our dog has stayed at more Marriotts than most people and I always alert the front desk that we have a service dog and it was obvious they understood the importance of that and they also immediately noted that in the file in case of any fire or evacuation. Good job! Ideal location: you can walk to Chase Field (only several blocks) but the hotel even provides a shuttle to get there. Also free parking. Who has that in a downtown major metropolitan area? I'm also an early morning walker and loved this area. It is downtown but right by the University. I wandered everywhere and felt very safe with attractive areas to check out. 10 minute walk to a bevy of restaurants in a complex. We ate at a great sushi restaurant there. Cons: Someone else mentioned it before me but we slept horribly. Bed wasn't terribly comfortable and pillows were so big and hard that it literally hurt our necks. We usually sleep wonderfully in Marriott properties but this was a challenge. Very disappointing. Ok, this is an issue I have with some Marriott properties and I have written about it before. Hate the single serve coffee makers in the room, definitely not Keurig. Horrible coffee and such a waste. Lots of plastic and paper to make a cup. There has to be a better way. Would I stay here again? Absolutely! Location and staff can cure a lot of issues!

Great hotel staff--very friendly! The hotel is within walking distance of the MLB park, a nice feature considering the parking/traffic after the game. The pool's temperature was warmer than expected. The room was clean, had a modern feel to it, had a nice set up and provided for a comfortable night's rest. The personalized welcome on the room's tv screen was a nice touch too. Breakfast had a good variety of food to feed the family's varied tastes. I would stay here again

We stayed one night and had a pleasant stay. The 2 best features of this hotel are its central location downtown and complimentary breakfast. It is within walking distance to stuff we as tourists wanted to see including: Heritage Park, the Basilica, the Capitol building etc. (it is also close to the university). Breakfast was great and had lots of options. Free parking on site was also super convenient. Everything was clean, convenient, and easy access. Would recommend for anyone's first visit to Phoenix!
