Worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. 1st the TV did not work. Then the Air Conditioning did not work. Then the people next door where so loud we cold hear their words. I went down and asked to be moved, the lady said they don’t have another room available like me our’s. Then I asked for a refund so we could go some place else. The manager said no refund then offered us to move. I explained what the other lady said and she replied, well she’s wrong.! Lying would be the 4the and final straw. With no refund at 9:PM we loaded up and went across the street to the Radison great place.
From pre-arrival through checkout, I really appreciated how responsive the staff (Russ, Roxana & Pearl) were via the messaging tool on the Hilton App - especially when I got a message from Roxana that they found my credit card in the ATM machine! The hotel itself is a little old and our room was musty enough to ask for an ozone machine...but the family feeling of the service would make me return!!
When we checked into our room we found a huge dead cockroach next to our bed and the table still hadn’t been cleaned. As we were getting moved to another room, we saw another cockroach walking along the hallway. My daughters were scared for the remainder of the trip.
Old dumpy hotel, ripped carpet in halls, peeling paint in shower, quality inn on a doubletree price. Location is sketchy and pictures are misleading. The only nice area is the lobby and restaurant, the rest is dated and old. I would have booked elsewhere if I had known this from the start.
The building seems old in many ways. The hallways and rooms have low ceiling height, the color scheme is tired, and the impression is that of past glory. The room furniture was worn, the carpet had some stains. The bed was comfy and clean. The bathroom was average with a decent shower and decent towels. The WiFi was acceptable. The TV did not have an online guide. The view from my room was a boarded up facility called the "Metro Center" with a deserted parking lot full of trash. There are several restaurants within walking distance, but the walk is quite depressing given the trash everywhere and the boarded up buildings and stores. Parking is free.
Family of 4 here for baseball spring training. Room was double queen, good size. Beds were comfortable, shower has very good pressure! Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Very nice big heated pool. Breakfast buffet was decent, had all the basics(eggs, bacon, sausage, toast). Hotel bar open until 10.
Stayed at this hotel four years ago and it was nice, not now. Our room was in need of a renovation. There was a note on the desk from the GM explaining the problems with supply chain issues and how this has caused repairs that aren’t addressed. Wall paper peeling of everywhere, paint was in bad shape. Front desk said we didn’t show up for our room the day before, so they cancelled our real reservation. We were schedule for only one day. This took 30 minutes to finally get our room. And the room is way over priced. Not again.
We are frequent visitors to PHX and usually stay near fam/friends on the North side. We needed to come on very short notice & are Hilton Elites, so we thought we'd try here, as everything else was either sold-out or insanely priced. We arrived at around 5 pm to check-in at the front desk. We were not greeted as Hilton Elites, certainly not offered any upgrades, had to ask/beg for our water bottles. The room was extremely TINY & not up to par. Extremely loud, and one of us was up all night due to the noise from other guests due to the thin walls & corridors. Spouse tried later at the front desk to get his free food/comp. breakfast that should be offered to a Hilton Elite. Front desk person rebuffed & confused him with a lot of double-talk & side-eye, and no coupons. By then, we had just decided to get up early & get the H**l out & on the road. Will never return & can NOT recommend this run-down, circa 1980 place to anyone, and certainly not to HHonors members. STAY ELSEWHERE!!…
The hotel is around a lot of things to do and restaurants. If you want a GREAT breakfast go down to First Watch. Their food is amazing and will last you until dinner. The pool at the hotel is perfect, absolutely perfect. Hot tub was warm and jets worked great. Birds singing and playing, blue skies. It was great! And, you can walk to Barnes and Noble for a book to read at the pool. I'm going back for the pool! Clean rooms, nice security and staff, I really appreciated this place. Very firm beds. They don't do breakfast or daily cleaning, but whatever. I had a great time at this hotel, highly recommend.
Staff here is wonderful, being both responsive and helpful. We stayed here for 4 nights and the price was $125/night (before tax). Awesome price for Phoenix. We also appreciated the free parking. Sadly, this is an older hotel and the A/C, decor, carpet are all showing age. Worst part of our visit were the tiny flying black bugs in our room. The area is in transition, with an older mall near the hotel coming down and new light rail being added. Not a bad area, just expect construction zones. We did not notice any construction noise.
