This park is really two very different sites. One has full hookups and the typical amenities. It is hard to get into because of the large number of almost full time residence units. The other section is easy to get a space but it is really just a dirt lot. Some sites have water and electric and the rest are for dry camping. If you're dry camping you can park any which way you want as not site markings are available. On weekends expect to have loud party goers all around you most of the night.

Several of us booked Months in advance in the temporary Sites to be sure to get spaces next to each other. But NO! They spaced us all over the place. My spouse drove back to the office to see if they would trade spots, the time was 4:59..they close at 5:00. They got attitude because of the time from some guy.. and the girl behind the counter said no trading! Well the next group came in and they were scattered as well and took the space we wanted to trade with. And the rest of there group parked by us. They were very loud, music, drinking, cursing.. !!!! Had the office traded sites they would have been parked with there friends and we would have been with our friends away from all the noise. But No! Come 11:30 pm and still very loud music, cursing, and yelling. We called Security. ( we were not given any rules at check in we had to ask for a map to find our space, oh and forget about WiFi) But back to Security, they said “ I have something to do then I will be over” He finally showed up and was there long enough to have a beer with them then left... the music was turned down but they went on ..even after a fire truck and ambulance came for someone in there group! Past 2:00 am. The 2nd night was just a repeat. They have no rules or control as to how there guests are to behave. I didn’t feel safe. And the park didn’t do anything about it. I will never be back! “

Nearly 80 bucks for power water spot on a huge sandy flat. They water it down for dust leaving large puddles. Far from bathrooms. They charge 10 bucks for an extra keycard you need to shower, so don’t expect to go at different times. No hot water 3/4 nights. Like I said big flat area of sand to park in but sites are crammed together. Altogether a real big disappointment.

The great. They are not a 55 and over facility! They have play grounds and a dog park. Fuel and propane onsite, Fenced off sites. A nice clubhouse with activities and a full laundromat and convenience store. So far they are checking the boxes.......... The good Their rates are more than reasonable especially if you are younger than 55 and before the peak season. The people are very helpful. The don’t allow rigs that look like they should be salvaged but I noticed some well kept older models and that was actually a good thing to me, .They have some grandfathered in permanent people, with some seasonal folks and then those just their for a month or less. It was a good mix. (A couple permanent residents were fantastic with info and talking but one apparently enjoyed drinking beer constantly in front of his rig with his male friends and family almost daily...just strange) The not so good..... They have a heated pool......well some days it is heated the techs don’t seem very interested in getting to the root of the issue for that or the hot tub not firing all jets or it’s heat issues though they were their daily. BUT when it was working it was fantastic. The showers were supposed to be closed at specific times but sometimes it was 10 to 12 other 8 to 10 or 9 til Noon. Makes showering before or after the pool in the morning a bit hard to do let alone those that shower outside their rv due to family size. Maybe not clean the showers when people are going to be taking more showers? The WiFi.........don’t bother bring a hotspot or you can apparently get dsl through the phone line that yes is active at your sight. The sites are fenced off and most have a small tree growing in them as well as poles protecting hookups and things. BUT no one seems to controls how the trees grow nor did they plan the location of the services or the poles. So to fit I had to move a tree limb while not being able to open my water bay more than 6 inches due to the line of poles. And apparently my site just had a random pallet on it for good measure. For the price I would get a seasonal spot here in a heartbeat. The people here whether it be the staff the long timers or the passing through were extremely great. Could some more money by spent on WiFi and the amenities and then pair them with just a bit of common sense planning and this place would be the place to stay for those of us that don’t qualify for 55 and over.

After staying just down the road at Pioneer RV "resort" I was elated to get a 6 month stay at Lake Pleasant. For those that are merely there for the night or maybe two, their might be better options. But for us (our daughter lives in Phoenix and just had our grandson) this place is a godsend. The staff is highly professional, it is not age restricted (even though my wife and I are both over 55) which means kids are present and having a ball. Free shuttle throughout the resort (which is monstrous) including to the overwater restaurant. 24 hour patrolled security. Easy access to major stores (ten miles or so) but in the desert, on a lake, surrounded by green foothills. Being from the Pacific Northwest, this feels more like "home" than any of the greater Phoenix area RV parks. If you are older and enjoy shuffleboard and line dancing, probably not your place to be. If you are an avid off road enthusiast as well as a water activities enthusiast, there is literally no other match in all of Maricopa county. We are both 57, have two daughters, and 4 grandchildren. And we can all have fun together here, at the same time. If you are family oriented and activity oriented, THIS IS IT. For those in other reviews that say you need to be "all grown up" to stay at the 55+ resorts, what they are really saying is you need to be "all given up" on activities and need shelter and protection from those dangerous 7-10 year olds splashing in the water. In short, if sitting in your RV anticipating the daily shuffle board game and vintage big band music is your thing, this is not your place, there are hundreds of those to choose from. If you enjoy activities, water, fun, and kids and pets, THIS IS IT!!!!!!!
