Detailed Reviews
1/28/20 This place was absolutely amazing and exceeded our expectations. The rooms are spacious and fully loaded with all the amenities you could need. But the best part were the hosts and owners of the location. They are the sweetest elderly couple we have met in all of our travels. She is this petite French woman With a heart of gold, just don’t get her talking about Jimmy because it will bring you to tears. And John her husband is also super welcoming and kind with a lot of local information and ideas on what to do in the area and how to hike and see the most out of the Chiricahua Mountains. They made us feel so at home as we sat and talked for hours over wine and homemade crapes (which were beyond belief amazing by the way)! We went there for the hiking memories and returned home with memories of this darling bread and breakfast adventure. We will definitely be back if but for no other reason then to just sit and talk with the hosts again.

Just got back from a one-night stay at the Dreamcatcher. My cousin and I were there to visit the Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association Chiricahua Astronomy Complex that just happens to be five minutes away, and we figured staying there was a no-brainer. We weren’t quite sure what to expect, but let me tell you the Dreamcatcher Inn is wonderful and exceeded all of our expectations. The owners, Philip and Ray, are incredibly gracious and warm, and make you feel at home without feeling smothered. The property and the rooms are extremely clean and well appointed, and the dinner Ray cooked for us was fabulous (a garden salad, homemade chicken parmigiana over pasta, and apple pie, with your choice of wine, cocktail or soda, etc). We will definitely be back!

Jeff we were happy we were able to accommodate you and your cousin for the 1-night stay. We were glad you were able to bring your telescope to the Tucson Astronomical Complex near us, and that you will be back for a visit in the near future.

We spent 2 nights at Dreamcatcher Inn and felt like we had been longtime friends with the owners from the moment we walked in. Ray and Philip are outstanding and fun hosts and chefs! The rooms are very comfortable and clean, the breakfasts and dinners were delicious and better than any meal you'd be able to get anywhere close by, and their numerous bird feeders attracted a great variety of species. We definitely want to return, and would recommend Dreamcatcher Inn to anyone wanting a fun and relaxing getaway close to Chiricahua National Monument.

GREAT, PEACEFUL GETAWAY
We visited the DreamCatcher Inn at the Chiricahuas in October with another couple. We found the B &B comfortable, spacious and clean in a location with great views, and were able to see javelina, wild turkeys, deer, and a variety of birds out the big picture window from the dining area.
Philip and Ramon, the hosts/owners, were very welcoming, gracious and entertaining.
While making our reservations for the Inn in advance, it was perfectly clear we had to pre-order our box lunches and dinners which were served every night at 6:00. In addition, the meals were first class and meals you would get at a top restaurant, including local wine with wine glasses always available. The deserts were delicious. They always described to the guests what they had prepared in detail.
Coffee was available daily at 7:30 each morning.
The current procedure in multiple day stays in hotels is to replace the towels but not a complete cleaning and bed making of your room, which is SOP at the Dream Catcher. Philip and Ramon were always willing to accommodate everyone’s needs. They allowed us to stay late in the main house to watch baseball.
It was nice and peaceful to visit and listen to music in the nice courtyard with all the beautiful plants.
Philip and Ramon were engaging and loved to talk about the animals and birds, the history of the house and the beautiful Chiricahua Mountains.
We would definitely return for a future stay and would highly recommend DreamCatcher. The Chiricahua National Monument is a jewel and a must see for those who love Arizona.

We stayed here 4 nights while visiting Chiricahua & Fort Bowie National Monuments. This facility is very isolated with nearest decent support facilities in Willcox, 35 miles away, so you need to be prepared. The room was nicely decorated and very clean, though on the small side with only one chair & no table. Our room also had a small refrigerator plus a microwave that was provided on request. The king bed was comfortable. There is a nice outside courtyard area, though it was often too hot or windy for comfort. The excellent breakfasts were provided in a beautifully decorated common room. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of birds coming to the feeders, as well as the javelina & deer. Phillip & Ray were welcoming & friendly hosts. We would definitely return here again.
The only negative was that guests were only permitted to use the "common area" at breakfast. With only one chair & no table in the guest room, the options for relaxing were limited.
As a final comment, I would not recommend using this as a base to visit Portal on the other side of the Chiricahua Mountains. The 25 mile gravel & dirt road across the mountain is VERY rough and dusty. Under normal conditions it is negotiable by an SUV, but it is a miserable 1:15 trip. We drove across but chose to return the long way by highway.

Thank you for your review. We have made many improvements to the property after purchasing it in August of 2021. We continue to make improvements in order to make the guest experience morebcomfortable and memorable. I know the weather in Spring can be rather changeable. We have made sure the rooms each have 2 chairs for guests to relax. The courtyard is usually a very comfortable place for guests to relax outside of the guest rooms, unfortunately it was rather windy and warm during your stay. We did enjoy your company and conversations during your stay. We hope to see you again for another birding trip in the near future. Thank you.

Spent a day in souteastern Arizona. Chiricahua mountains and the Sandhill Cranes. Not to mention Miracle Valley and Jonny Ringo's gravesite. What fun. But what really made the trip, was the lodging and hospitality we got from Phillip and Ray. They provided a lovely dinner for a small fee with wine included - and a hearty breakfast of eggs, bacon and avacado toast. Oh and yogurt and fruit. They are truly delightful hosts and the location is amazing and the room was very comfortable.
But honestly what attracted me the most initially that I made the reservation with Phillip over the phone the old fashioned way. His demeanor and attitude was truly an exception in this world of strict timelines and expectations.
Definately will go back if possible. Thanks you two!

I had to travel to Pearce for work and was delighted to find this terrific bed and breakfast. The Kirks, my hosts, could not have been nicer or more accommodating. They asked if I would like to add dinner to my stay, which I did, and they even checked with me about any dietary issues. The four course dinner was delicious, as was the included breakfast the next morning. My room was beautifully appointed and I typically do not sleep well when I am traveling for work but I did here, I was that comfortable.
Pearce is great if you enjoy stargazing, the sky is so clear and it was just beautiful at night. The following morning at breakfast the Kirks left out food for the local wildlife and while we were dining inside there were quail and rabbits outside enjoying their breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyable and I hope I can get back to this lovely property again.

What a wonderful experience! From the outset, our hosts, Phillip and Ramon could not have been more accommodating. The room was comfortable and well furnished with artwork matching the name of the room (Gambrel Quail) room. We loved the central courtyard with all of the plants and artwork. What a joy it was to eat breakfast in the main dining area with desert quail, deer and many other birds just outside the huge picture window. The food was varied, tasty, plentiful and cooked with care by our hosts. We had both breakfast and dinners at the Inn. Choices of local wines from the vineyards nearby, great conversation with other guests and our hosts completed the experience.. We live on the east coast and to get back to the Inn is a long trip. We wish we were closer so that we could visit more often! Will just make the times when we do get back more meaningful. Thanks Phillip and Ramon for a wonderful time!! S + S.

We were on a road trip for more than 30 days through 12 states and stayed at over 20 hotels or bnb's. Dreamcatcher was by far the most memorable. I originally chose Dreamcatcher for its proximity to Chiricahua NM. We arrived late, were greeted warmly and shown to our room which was very nice. Early morning coffee opened more than just the eyes. The ambience of the sitting / dining room, watching the birds on the feeders, the javelina who came to clean up the seeds scattered by the birds were all surpassed by the hospitality and the breakfast which was great. We lingered much longer than usual over breakfast. Thankfully we were so close to Chiricahua. After touring the park and a strenuous (for us) hike in Echo Canyon our room and the common patio were perfect for recuperating, rejuvenating and relaxing. It occurred then that the Dreamcatcher would be ideal for a personal mini retreat.
Dinner was outstanding - gourmet! Another couple had arrived whose dietary requirements were slightly different from ours. No matter - the meal fit perfectly for all of us. Again we sat and talked for an extended time and all shared some of their experiences including how to invent a class entree that would satisfy a full house of divergent dietary preferences. The next morning we got up extra early to enjoy the coffee and the birds and the breakfast was just as good as the day before. Again we sat and chatted and were actually reluctant to leave, wishing that we had booked a longer stay.
The Dreamcatcher is 1,802 miles from home but I know we will sometime be back in the area. The idea of the mini retreat is growing and I will look forward to seeing what changes Philip and Ramon have brought about on the property. May their stewardship of this little gem be long and prosperous.

We’ve always wanted to hike in the Chiricahuas and decided that a quiet, short getaway was just what we needed for a few days. The Dreamcatcher BnB was in the perfect location, just 12 miles from the trails. Accommodations were perfect as well with our own private room and bathroom along with private room entry. I’ve never slept in a place that was so quiet! The beds and linens were quality as well. Super comfortable!
For a pre-dinner cocktail, the sunset is a must-see! We heard coyotes in the distance and got to see deer, Javelina and a variety of birds. Nature at its best.
The icing on the cake (literally) comes from Chef Ray! Our meals were incredible! Definitely opt for the dinners! Given the remote location, you will appreciate not needing to venture out. After dinner, we experienced stars like we’ve never seen before out in the courtyard fireside.
We are so grateful to have had the blessing to share in this beautiful place. We will be back!
