Stayed here the night before hiking. Seems to be the main reason most people stay there. Decent rooms. Walls are pretty thin - could hear everything going on in the room next door. That noise was way worse than the train that goes by every 15 minutes. Food was pretty good - try the stew and frybread. The service was... More

HOTEL’S FAVORITE REVIEW
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2016

This is located on the Hualapai Reservation and even though this is the only place to stay in town it has high quality service. The rooms are nicely decorated with rustic furniture and SW Indian wall hangings and blankets. Very clean and quite. They gave us ear plugs when we checked in since trains travel behind the hotel frequently, but... More

Lovely authentic small hotel on Route66. Clean and tastefully furnished. Stayed for four nights. Good place for overnight stop and hikers. Although we think our stay was a bit long because it is far away from what we want to do, the Grand Canyon West is a worthwhile day trip. (Be careful you do not take the unpaved road to... More

While not fancy, this hotel offers solid service, good rooms, and a nice pool. The restaurant is excellent and the staff caring. There is nowhere else for miles, but the hotel takes no advantage of this. The complaints about train whistles are a little overdone; most trains do not blow the whistle, and a hotel in an urban area or... More

We stayed at this cozy little lodge for 2 nights when we did the white water rafting trip at the Grand Canyon in August. It is located right on Historic Route 66 in Peach Springs, AZ and easy to find in the middle of nowhere. We were pleasantly surprised at the Hualupai Indian décor and the room was very clean.... We stayed overnight and took the River Runners trip the next day. The decorations were very authentic, we enjoyed looking around. The lodge is in the middle of a million+ acre Hualapai Indian Reservation. All staff members were helpful. The only downside is a train that runs about every 15 minutes throughout the night. Request a room on the street... More

While it is literally the only hotel in the area, it is a nice little place to unwind after a long day of Grand Canyon adventures. We could barely hear the train noises! The food at the restaurant was really good; they offer a varied menu and free continental breakfast. All in all, we had a great experience.

We stayed 2 nights at the Hualapai Lodge. It's a nice little hotel VERY off the beaten path. Thankfully their restaurant has good food, however, some of the staff could use some personality and smiling lessons. They tell you at check in that the best and ONLY restaurant for 35 miles is the one in the hotel. They're not exaggerating.... More

Worst experience ever ... There are trains which pass by every 15 mins at 3 meters of the hotel and making nose / ring (even in night). Breakfast is bad. No restaurant after 9 PM (and nothing around for eating).

We stayed one night, the rooms were clean and spacious. Be prepared to hear the train. The front office gave us ear plugs but that helped very little. The train does run every 15 minutes. There was also a rowdy group in our hallway and had to call the front desk on them. Later the police came and arrested someone.... More
