We stayed 2 nights at the Hualapai Lodge. It's a nice little hotel VERY off the beaten path. Thankfully their restaurant has good food, however, some of the staff could use some personality and smiling lessons. They tell you at check in that the best and ONLY restaurant for 35 miles is the one in the hotel. They're not exaggerating.... More

Worst experience ever ... There are trains which pass by every 15 mins at 3 meters of the hotel and making nose / ring (even in night). Breakfast is bad. No restaurant after 9 PM (and nothing around for eating).

We stayed one night, the rooms were clean and spacious. Be prepared to hear the train. The front office gave us ear plugs but that helped very little. The train does run every 15 minutes. There was also a rowdy group in our hallway and had to call the front desk on them. Later the police came and arrested someone.... More

We have been here twice now. My 4 year old loves trains and was so excited with the track right behind the lodge. If the trains bother you the front desk offers earplugs. They have a salt water pool unfortunately both time we have been here we haven't used it. This last time it was storming so the pool wasn't... More

We purposely chose this restaurant for lunch to support the Hualapai people. We were VERY pleased with the quality and quantity of food. After three days in the crowded Grand Canyon, this quiet oasis in the desert was a nice respite. I wish we had known about the River Runners because we would have done that instead of the crowded... This lodge has very spacious, comfortable rooms. We stayed two nights, with a trip to the West Rim in between. We returned to the hotel hoping for a swim, but the advertised "heated" pool certainly was not. You wouldn't think that was a problem in Arizona in July, but the location of the pool prevents it from getting much direct... More

We stayed at the lodge one nights before hiking in to Havasupai. Everything was great. Room was very comfortable, staff was friendly. The only complaints was that the train is super loud at night and we were still on the opposite side. The food in the restaurant was very good but the service was slow.

This is located on the Hualapai Reservation and even though this is the only place to stay in town it has high quality service. The rooms are nicely decorated with rustic furniture and SW Indian wall hangings and blankets. Very clean and quite. They gave us ear plugs when we checked in since trains travel behind the hotel frequently, but... More

I had booked this hotel through Expedia, who I feel represented it to be much closer to the Western Rim of the Grand Canyon than it really was. Upon check in, I found that it was actually nearly 2 hours away an was pretty upset. Not only that, the immediate surroundings of this hotel would have led this first time... More

A must do! When visiting The Grand Canyon as you see the Canyon from a different view point when on the water. We had a 10 year old and two 73 year olds in our group and although a little scary for a few seconds it really was not that bad at all. In fact everyone loved it and it... More
