The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious, however, the resort was fairly empty. I would have expected an upgrade given I’m Mariott Platinum and there were clearly empty rooms. No room service, you had to physically go and get carryout from the restaurants. I’m sure during non Covid times this may be an excellent property. I was underwhelmed.

Planned a business meeting here in Phoenix, in March. Of all the vendors we had prearranged, they were the only ones that did not refund my deposit, which I believe was $800. Its a great place otherwise, I know from previous visits.

I'm giving this place 5 stars based on available services during the COVID pandemic. There were disappointing aspects of this trip but I cant blame the resort for being cautious and responsible. The resort itself is very pretty with the mountains in every view. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful when we needed help. At the time of the trip the resort was basically shut down from Monday - Wednesday. Most restaurants, spa and gift shop were closed these days. I arrived late Saturday night and left first thing Thursday morning so we didn't get to enjoy any of those amenities. The gym is by appointment only so if you plan on using it you need to make a reservation. There was no live music that we were aware of even though the website said it was everyday. The pool was nice so we wound up spending every afternoon there. The weekends were busy so finding 2 chairs together was tough but the weekdays were wonderful. The pool staff came around starting at 11AM for drinks and food. Their service was exception, the best we had anywhere during the trip. The food option was pretty simple and was the same as the open restaurant so we ate off property every night for a change of pace. Prices were a little high in my opinion but if thats your only option, you suck it up. Breakfast started at 7AM and all was very good. It came quickly and the portions were big. There is a Starbucks on property if you prefer that. Every day we tried a different activity that was included in the resort fee. We took advantage of renting bikes, tennis equipment and hiking. Check with the front desk about tennis courts, they fill up quickly. Biking was a lot harder than we thought because of the hills so keep that in mind. Bottled water is available when renting equipment. They also offer time at the driving range at the Camelback golf club. It is off property but only about 5 miles away. We weren't planning on golfing that day and wore athletic clothes and felt underdressed for sure. They supply the clubs, water and your own cart to take you to the driving range. We had a lot of fun but would have dressed appropriately next time. While I was disappointed, what services they could offer were good. The room was beautiful and much larger than I expected.

I, along with 3 friends, stayed at the JW Marriott Camelback Inn & Spa for 3-nights. We had an absolutely fabulous stay! The resort and its grounds are clean and extremely well maintained. The flowers and vegetation are amazing! Everyone from the bell-men, housekeeping, grounds-crew, wait staff, and front desk staff are so friendly and welcoming. The pools here are relaxing and clean, as are the rooms and walking paths. Having Rita's cantina, its huge outdoor patio, and nightly live music onsite is a real treat! I would totally recommend a stay here if you are in Scottsdale and looking for a relaxing Spa Resort to stay at! Nothing negative to say...

Just had to leave a review of this JW as we are checking out today. We could not have been happier with our stay! The people here were incredible! Such warmth and service oriented. Our room was delightful, had a little kitchenette area for keurig/micro/fridge. Our Platinum status offered us a luxurious breakfast each morning at Rita’s that was OUTSTANDING! They rolled out a new menu while we were there offering so many fantastic and health conscious options. The spa was a terrific delight when the weather outside was too hot for golf! Huge thanks to Sammy at the spa for being so gracious, Alan, Gigi, Orlando, Nate, Angel and ALL the service staff at Rita’s for treating us so special! The grounds are beautiful, especially enjoyed the bronze work by Dave McGary. What a perfect place to celebrate special occasions! This is now one of our favorite hotels in the world! Thank you everyone! Stay safe and peace to you ♥️
