I have said much of the same each time I come here, but I had an even nicer experience this time. We have a conference here annually the first week of September. I got a great room with a spread out floor plan and two queens near the conference center so I did not have to sweat as much waking in a suit down to the presentations. Friendly and helpful staff at check in. Comfortable conference area. We did have an issue during the presentation with an AV glitch, but we kept going while staff fixed it on the fly. Good bar options for our conference reception. Comfortable room. Great historic property. The extra effort this time was that my toilet ran in my room constantly. i took the back off and saw it was filling past the overflow and just pouring out into the pipes as a waste (and an annoying noise, but I had just gotten into the room). Called the front desk and maintenance showed up in under 5 minutes and changed out the float in the toilet and apologized for the interruption.

We enjoyed a Signature View Double Queen Casita as a family of 4. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The service at the resort was excellent. We loved the beautiful desert landscaping all around the resort.

From checkin, dining, pool, and the grounds all wonderful. Checkin - bellmen are friendly, happy, and helpful. Leave your bags with the bellman to checkin. Then the bellman will load your gear and you in a golf cart to your room. The casitas are stand alone bldgs with a few seperate units in the building. Super quiet and roomy. Our casita had a gorgeous views of Mummy and Camelback mountains. There is an outside table with umbrella and chairs. Room was nice with comfortable bed, night stands, dining table with 2 chairs. Couch with large ottoman. Chest of drawers and tv. Safe, microwave, and small refrigerator. Dining on site. Ritas Cantina and bar - outstanding service. Courtney and Rita made us feel welcome and took care to help us. Breakfast tp dinner. Breakfast has a omlet/pancake/ belgium waffle station. Then buffet areas complete. Or order off the menu. Lunch, dinner, and bar were nice, and tasty. Ritas has an outdoor dining area and even large wicker chairs way out for a peaceful sitting area or to dine. Steakhouse is white linen but still casual feel. Bread pudding, made with croissants was light and tasty. Grounds - - Super pretty. Desert and some areas with running water features or streams. Wildlife - saw rabbits, bob white quail, banded lizards, tons of hummingbirds and heard tons of birds. Gift shop - nice with local art and resort clothes to drug store items. Pool area - 3 nice pools - - main, kids, adult. Many lounge chairs, bed like loungers with umbrellas, and some cabanas. Lots of waiters and waiters make getting drinks or food easy. Towels are provided. A hotel is just a building - but happy helpful people who love their jobs - make the JW Marriot Camelback resort a wonderful relaxing home.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this property. Denise at the front desk was so welcoming! Denise and the rest of the staff, including Kirsten at the pool, helped to make this a very special anniversary weekend for us! The grounds are meticulously maintained with such a variety of native vegetation. The property is very modern, yet it retains the old desert charm of a bygone era. On-site dining options were great and we especially loved Rita's Cantina. Thanks again to Denise et al - we plan to return for our next anniversary vacay!

Great resort. Loved the spa and the pool. The pools need to have better coverage from the sun. More dining options would be nice. The bi-level suite was great. Staff was friendly. Room service stopped early which was odd. It was also odd that you have to pay $8 as a Bonvoy elite to get the regular breakfast. Great location near downtown Scottsdale, but tucked away so you can enjoy the resort vibes. Would recommend!

Loved this resort, will definitely return! The food and drinks at Rita’s were very good, loved the enchiladas! Enjoyed seeing the rabbits and also the lovebirds that fly about in the palm trees. The main pool was great and the service there was excellent. The spa has an excellent pool area also with very comfy chaise lounges. The service was also excellent and the food from the spa restaurant which I ordered at the pool was very good. They have a nice boutique at the spa and the amenities were very nice. My nail tech that gave me a pedicure did a great job and was enjoyable to chat with. The bed was extremely comfortable and everything at the resort was clean. Can’t wait to go back!

I used Bonvoy points to book a night for a getaway. Even used Suite night points for upgrade. Good... early check in, late check out. Excellent breakfast buffet. Outstanding spa experience. Not happy stuff... upgrade consisted of room with uncovered outdoor patio, not sure what to do with it in 111 heat. Pool restaurant under construction about 10 the jack hammers and grinders start, very loud and annoying. Top tier Bonvoy member and had to pay $8. for breakfast upgrade. I really hate the worthless $35. resort fee that includes internet, which I get anyway due to Bonvoy status and use of bicycles, again not sure what to do with a bicycle in this heat. I felt like I was nickel and dimed.

This property is fantastic and super relaxing while being perfectly situated. I would highly recommend getting a suite and spending some time by the beautiful pool. The hospitality is impeccable, especially since LUZ BAAR is doing an exceptional job.
