Not a fan of writing more negative reviews yet this place was so amazing, and has such potential, but my last visit was a shocking degradation. 6 of us came (3 rooms) for a surprise party and, despite multiple conversations with staff prior to arriving, one of the staff ruined the surprise by speaking out of turn to the guest of honor. There was a special order of flowers and bottle of wine, which were put int he wrong room. After a few discussions, they ended up sending a bottle of wine as a gift. Don't get me wrong the gesture is kind, but it was the same bottle given at check in and a bit late in the game to feel like a consolation. We spent a LOT of money there, and at the pool were surrounded by a group of young guests who were snuck in by a pool attendant and were partying loudly and getting drinks clearly not paid for. I'm all for F&F in hospitality, yet for paying guests who came for high end R&R to be affected in this was in very disappointing. Again, the food is pretty good (albeit overpriced, though you expect that at a resort positioning itself as a luxe retreat) and the gym is well-kept, staff very kind. Just a very pricey weekend for the service we received, even when they were made aware of the mistakes. I hope they find their footing again, otherwise hard to justify coming back.

What an incredible experience we had at The Sanctuary. If you are looking for the ultimate 5-Star luxury property, this is the place. We had been here many many years ago, and its been updated, renovated, and taken luxury to a new level. My wife and son and I stayed here with our dog and we had a fantastic stay. The rooms are fantastic, the staff and service are 5-Star and the food was gourmet. Add the incredible view from the rooms and this is by far "the place to stay" in Phoenix/Scottsdale! We were traveling cross-country, and of all the place we stayed, we felt the safest here, as they are taking extra precautions to disinfect, sanitize and guard against the covid virus. We felt totally safe here!

What a perfect setting to enjoy a romantic or relaxed stay. Took my 16 year old daughter for a relaxing mother/daughter trip. We wanted a non traditional hotel stay. This place is on the expensive side so I expected 5 star amenities and service, Sanctuary did not disappoint! We enjoyed relaxing walks, hanging out on the balcony overlooking the mountains. We enjoyed the fastest room service I have ever experienced, and the food was delicious...korean bbq quesadillas and miso salmon are delish. Spa is clean and met my expectations. The complimentary endless water was appreciated.

We decided to have a quick staycation and decided on Sanctuary and it was the perfect choice. The convenience, the staff, the food, the spa and the Casita were all wonderful. I would definitely book another staycation at Sanctuary. I'd previously been to the spa, which is top notch, and I booked a massage for my stay as well and it was divine. The resort is beautiful and everything about our stay was perfect.

Beautiful property, very sad that they do not acre about their guests safety. i was threatened by another guest and was given the run around. I have tried to talk to them about the matter and now three days later still waiting. the property is awesome but unfortunately the lack of safety seems to be a problem. i was even asked to park away from my property so that the violent guest would not find my car and damage it. when i asked for a copy of the incident report i was told that they would send it via email, only to find out two days later that they would be sending anything. SO SAD, CUSTOMER SAFETY IS OUT THE WINDOW, ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY AND APPEARANCES. I should have dealt with this the old fashioned way.
