Had an amazing stay at the Sanctuary. The staff and facilities are amazing and would highly recommend it to anyone. Even with the weather being a wee bit dicey the trip was awesome. Cannot wait to go back to the Sanctuary!

I simply cannot convey how incredible our state was. Everything was luxurious also being comfortable and while the staff helped us to do anything we wanted or needed, they were also warm and genuine. We enjoyed a luxurious villa with spectacular views in our own private pool and hot tub when we want to just family time. We did exercise classes that accommodated for her entire family from 18 to 59 and gave everyone a great work out while also taking a care in the difference in our bodies. The spa was just phenomenal. We booked out to dinner one night and regretted it after eating at Elements. I will just dine in the entire time on a future stay. What makes this resort though is the staff. Everyone gave us personalized help in making the stay incredible while also being so warm and genuine! There is not a staff member or area that I can call out because all of them were exceptional. We will definitely be going back.

It hurts me to write a negative review about Sanctuary because I really love it so much. However, it has been bothering me and I have to get it off my chest. My husband and I have never had a bad experience at the Sanctuary until New Year's Eve. There were so many things that went wrong. First, Open Table should not have allowed us to make a reservation for dinner when the facility was doing a special New Year's Eve Seating Event. We probably would have still gone but to the earlier service. I should have suspected something when we got a call that evening saying that dinner was at 7 pm and not 6:30 pm. Ok, we knew it was later, but we still thought it would be fine as we both had to work the next day. We arrived at the facility and then we found out the truth. It was a special New Year's Eve service, and only two seatings, 5 pm, and 7:30 pm. Obviously, we were too late for the 5 pm seating, so we had to take the 7:30 pm seating, Dinner would be at about 8 pm. To put it nicely, Mama was not happy. The very nice assistant manager came over and apologized and offered us champagne. We thought that was nice, but my husband was hungry. He assured us that dinner would start promptly at 8 pm but of course, what can go wrong will go wrong. It did not start promptly, and we didn't even get our usual bread basket. There must have been a major event because everyone rushed around. Once the food arrived, it was delicious, but by that time I was tired and just wanted to go home. I got a call from the restaurant manager a few days later. He left me a very nice voice message, but I could not reconnect with him. I wish I had.

We stayed here for Super Bowl weekend and wow! From the moment we arrived is was five-star all the way. Ben at the front desk put us in a great mood from the beginning. The grounds were manicured perfectly. We took advantage of the pool and spa. They had tennis courts but unfortunately I didn’t have time to play. We ate most of our meals through room service but Heather in Elements was a standout. We definitely will be back.

So many things done very well: great staff, great restaurant and bar, lovely spa. Our villa had good linens and cleaning and service was good as well. However for the price it was very dated. Threadbare and Frayed carpets, a lack of connectivity, and little information for guests on how to reach the front desk, maintenance, or room service. The house phone was not connected and we had to find the website to find a phone number. I understand how hard the new owners are working to invest and upgrade. It would be good to see that reflected in the prices charged for outdated accommodations.

Really wonderful stay here at the Sanctuary! Our accomodation was spacious and well appointed. The food, breakfast especially, was delicious and we enjoyed some of the classes offered. Too bad there were not more but the hiking in the area makes up for it. Above all, the staff was outstanding. So friendly, helpful and fun. Shout out to all the drivers and bell men, Heather, Clara, Penelope, Sharon, Aspen! Thank you!

Oh, what a beautiful morning it was to be outside in Paradise Valley Arizona. Jason taught a great class, and put us all into a state of Zen by playing his guitar the last few minutes. And as you can see a picture is worth 1000 words.

The hotel and restaurant are beautiful. I have been to the spa the past 3 years after brunch but was told this year by Danielle they will not book a service unless I’m a hotel guest. It’s very unfortunate they would not schedule this and it wasn’t because they didn’t have openings. Will need to find a new place to go

Hello Debra, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We value our local guests very much and due to hotel business levels and the popularity of the spa, there are times when we must restrict access for non-hotel guests. We have had many dates lately where the hotel has been very busy which could have been the situation in your case. Please contact me if you would like to discuss further otherwise, we hope to be able to welcome you back to the Sanctuary Spa in the near future. Sincerely, Matthew Vandegrift General Manager

An overpriced resort with excessive excuses for their shortcomings, my stay at the Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort was anything but the intended. Excited at the thought of a relaxing weekend of rest, luxe, lounge and spa; my friend and I traveled 3, 099 miles to indulge in a carefully planned girls trip. At first glance all appeared well, we were told that the bed and furniture was 3 weeks old and feedback on our level of comfort would be appreciated. Having drove an additional 2.5 hours we immediately patronage the bar and restaurant. In the wee hours of the morning I was awakened by tiny bugs across the bed and immediately called the front desk. I was informed that I would have to wait until the manager arrived at 8:30 a.m. the following morning. So grossed out, I could not sleep for the entire night and sat at the computer desk for over 7 hours. Around 8:30 the following morning their was a knock at the door and two gentlemen appeared. One of which was the Asst Director of Engineering. A search was conducted which left the beds in disarray and we were told that nothing was seen. We showed them a video and complied to their request of forwarding the footage. Soon thereafter, I received a call from the Director of Rooms who assured me that our room would be thoroughly cleaned. A few minutes after his call someone showed up to do so, however, I asked for 30 minutes to get ourselves together as the earlier visit was unannounced. We vacated the room around 9:15 a.m. and returned a little before 1:00 p.m. to our surprise the room was untouched. The mess made by the staff was still present. I made a call to the front desk and waited for another hour. No one showed up. I decided to pack my bags and went down to the front desk to speak to the Director of Rooms. After about 30 minutes he showed up and was slightly rude, dismissive and unaccommodating. I was given a multitude of excuses why the room remained in a state of disaster. At one point, I was told that I’d turned down service. Asked why it took over 20 minutes following a call an hour earlier for a response him, I was informed that he had gone by the room to see if it was as I’d stated to the front desk clerk. How insulting! Courtesy and pride in representation and delivery of the end product should be of utmost value to each and every guests. I was made to feel that my presence, my hard earned money and the time spent traveling 3,000+ miles was unappreciated. A total disappointment, I remain unsatisfied from the memory of time wasted and experience lost.

Peaceful desert oasis with beautiful grounds and every amenity you could want. Restaurant is first class, pools are amazing, bike, tennis courts, spa, etc, etc. I was here for business and stayed in a Casita which was clean and well appointed. Amazing staff. Close to Scottsdale and hiking trails in surrounding mountains. Wonderful experience.
