True 5 star experience while also being warm and genuine
I simply cannot convey how incredible our state was. Everything was luxurious also being comfortable and while the staff helped us to do anything we wanted or needed, they were also warm and genuine. We enjoyed a luxurious villa with spectacular views in our own private pool and hot tub when we want to just family time. We did exercise classes that accommodated for her entire family from 18 to 59 and gave everyone a great work out while also taking a care in the difference in our bodies. The spa was just phenomenal. We booked out to dinner one night and regretted it after eating at Elements. I will just dine in the entire time on a future stay. What makes this resort though is the staff. Everyone gave us personalized help in making the stay incredible while also being so warm and genuine! There is not a staff member or area that I can call out because all of them were exceptional. We will definitely be going back.
Hello stoddolson, Thank you for taking the time to complete our survey. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us! Safe Luxurious Stay at Sanctuary
Stayed here this past weekend and had a wonderful time. I have been very cautious during the pandemic but my friend with an autoimmune disease came here a few weeks ago and also was able to enjoy herself. I can honestly say they are taking so many precautions and I felt safe the entire time. My friend and I enjoyed the spa and each got a massage. We wore masks the whole time but when we were face down, we pulled the mask down. The massage providers were lovely as well and the facility was perfectly clean. Tara was my provider and she was great! When we went to check in after the spa treatments the front desk area had clear plexi glass between the front desk agents and us. Andrew checked us in and was very friendly. He advised we would be in a Spa Casita and we were delighted! We were given a resort map and care package with masks and hand sanitizer in it, great touch! From there we went to the room which had a very modern entryway and it was quite large (650 sq ft). The closet was large with a nice seating area. They have USB and electrical plugs next to the beds which is very convenient for phone charging at night. There was also a Bluetooth speaker in the room. We went to the pool and Juan helped us out. He got us ready with towels and gave us the food and drink menu. All staff was wearing masks. We saw them spraying down the chairs and tables after each guest got up. It was religiously done, they were taking this so seriously. It was busy on a Saturday but the staff was doing all they could to keep things spaced out, but comfortable. We went back to the room and got ready, then went to Elements for dinner. Our server assistant was Pablo and the server was Sean. Sean has been at the property for 8 years and knew the menu very well. We decided to both do the special for the evening, sea bass. Pablo was attentive as well and made us feel comfortable. We sat close to the window in a booth, somewhat secluded from the rest of the restaurant. Loved the view, food and service! We were so full after champagne, calamari and the sea bass. We also got a complimentary dessert for my friend’s birthday, but were stuffed afterwards. The portion sizes are much more than what I expected and I was definitely full afterwards. Next morning we went to Elements for breakfast where Joe and Joey (both very friendly) served us. We both got their Eggs Benedict and potatoes, it was SO delicious and the hollandaise was perfect. The stay could not have been better. Hats off to the team at Sanctuary for making us feel safe and still providing a very luxurious experience.
Thank you for choosing to stay with us here at Sanctuary. We are delighted to hear that the new policies and procedures we have implemented to combat COVID-19 made you feel safe and helped ensure you could enjoy the relaxing escape you deserve. We love that you were able to enjoy a relaxing treatment at the spa and a wonderful meal at elements during your time with us. It is great to hear that your visited ended up being everything you had hoped it to be. We truly appreciate you taking the time to write a review and hope you will come see us again next time you need a safe, relaxing getaway.

    Sanctuary Staycation
We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Sanctuary Resort! With all things considered due to COVID-19, the Sanctuary and their team did a wonderful job making us feel safe while still providing 5-star luxury service. Every single employee from the restaurant to spa to the bell team were nothing short of amazing. We had the pleasure to enjoy most amenities that were available to us and we cannot wait to enjoy them again. Upon checking in, Matt greeted us and checked us into a beautiful room with an unbelievable view of Paradise Valley. The room was so clean and so many sanitation items were provided, we felt as though they really went the extra step to make sure their guests felt safe. We went down to the spa boutique to find the amazing smelling in room product and Denali was so helpful in assisting us find it and make our purchases. We went to the spa and enjoyed incredible massages. Dora made the best first spa impression, getting us all set up and situated and my massage from Michelle was the best I have ever had. Being a local, I cannot wait to return for a spa day again soon! The grounds were kept up beautifully and all of the team members driving around the hotel always greeted me with a smile and offered assistance. We enjoyed meals in all outlets and all of the food, drinks, and service was incredible! Our breakfast in elements with Vanessa was delicious, and Sergio in room service was always so kind and positive while bringing us our ice. I cannot wait to take my family to elements for all special occasions! Thank you to Sanctuary and their team for a memorable staycation, we will be back!
Thank you for choosing to stay with us here at Sanctuary. We are delighted you had such a wonderful visit and that our COVID-19 safety and cleanliness proceedures helped ensure you felt safe and secure throughout your stay. It is wonderful to hear that the team, across all areas of the resort, made you feel welcome and valued. It sounds like you really enjoyed your room, which we love to hear. We are happy you were able to enjoy a relaxing massage at the spa and a few delicious meals in elements. We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to write a review and look forward to providing you with more wonderful experiences in the future!

I feel bad writing this because I wanted to love this resort. I booked three nights for my husbands 50th birthday and we traveled from out of state, it was his first time in Arizona. Let’s start with the pros, the location is wonderful and the staff was very nice. We entered our one bedroom suite and the toilet area smelled of sewage, there was a stain on the couch, a cushion was missing from the patio area, the bathroom mirror light was not working and there was no turn down service. I work really hard to afford vacations like this and expect more attention to detail for this type of property. I expressed my concerns to the front desk who were very nice (offered to move my room but I declined because I did not want to interrupt his special day). But other than the seat cushion being added, no other concerns were addressed. In fact it just got worse. For example, the maid did not fold up the hair dryer, did not put away the ironing board, did not supply ample towels, did not take away dirty dishes, etc. I was also unaware of the concept of the resort being so spread out. The golf carts do come quickly but I did not want to always call. We did not want to walk down to the main pool so opted for the one close to our villa - no towels, no restroom, no drink service, no umbrellas or shade. And the one time we did go to the main stark pool, my husband got pooped on by a bird. We also rented an electronic vehicle and no charging existed onsite. The room itself was a tad small, the patio and bathroom in particular. Not relaxing by any means. My recommendation is to stay elsewhere and maybe come here for dinner or drinks. It probably didn’t help that the two days prior we stayed at the Four Seasons where none of the above was an issue and the little details were what we are used to.

We booked Sanctuary Camelback for our anniversary weekend. The hotel had a relaxing, luxurious vibe. The classes and activities offered were wonderful. We did the bike/hike to camelback mountain and our guide Steve was very informative. Front desk staff, Benjamin and Lynda, were very responsive and accommodating. The best part of our stay was our massages and the spa team in general. The massage was probably one of the best I’ve had, and Courtney and Daisy from the front desk were so nice and courteous. The rooms were very clean and appointed tastefully. The restaurant on the property was great as well. Can’t say anything bad as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back.

I chose this beautiful resort for my birthday staycation. The place is simply gorgeous and has great amenities. I booked a spa suite and it was a nice amount of space with living room, bedroom, large bathroom and soaking tub on back patio. I booked treatments at the spa for myself and my friend, that was a great experience. The Jade bar and Elements were nice for drinks and dining during my 3 night stay. The entire staff throughout the property I are accommodating and polite.

Arizona is a bit of a difficult market to navigate when it comes to five star resorts and experiences. You have the massive over extended behemoth resorts that are tired and have service issues at times and you have the more intimate options which we favor. Sanctuary was a stellar experience from start to finish I am very pleased we booked. You feel you are valued guest at literally every turn. Amazing valet's greet you right away, stellar concierge service checking on every need (Ruben is an absolute Gem whose passion for what he does is second to none and admirable) to the amazing service staff in the restaurant and in room dining. We did lunch and brunch in the restaurant as well as dinner in our room with our little one and the food quality was terrific as was the service. You feel you are truly escaping from the hustle and bustle and in your own private home. Great bedding, showers, bathrooms etc. Couldn't recommend this resort any more, evident the team enjoys what they do and has leadership there to encourage their best, you can't fake that and as a guest you truly feel it here. A special resort well worth the visit. Thank you for making our anniversary special.

This is really a top-notch spa getaway. The room was very nice. The food was excellent. The service was as you would expect with a hotel of this caliber. The spa services were amazing. I went there with another friend for a milestone birthday celebration. There was a little snafu around a food experience we had prepaid for, but the hotel more than made up for that unexpected cancellation of the event. I think our only complaint was that they don't let you park near the restaurant. Your only options are to leave your car up by your cabin which can be a pretty good walk in 110° heat or drive down and park in the spa area and walk up. They do offer golf carts that can be called to take you up and down, but that felt very inconvenient for us. So we generally drove down to the spa for most of the appointments we had, including dinner. For that reason I would probably give it a 4.8 if I could. Definitely don't try to do this trip on a tight budget though, as the food, drinks and services are very pricey. We definitely enjoyed the spa days though. Between the two of us, we experienced various massages, facials, scrubs and pedicures. You can lounge around all day and use the jacuzzi, mediation room, and other services. Make sure to check out and sign up for some of the free classes as those were a really nice feature to have on site as well, such as Pilates or foam rolling.

From check in to check out the staff was friendly and helpful. We arrived a little early and our room wasn’t ready. they got our bags put away in cool storage so nothing melted on a hot day. We went to the pool had some cocktails and food. Once our room was ready the staff delivered our keys to us at the pool. Our room was stunning and the outdoor shower was great on a hot day. Thanks for making our anniversary stay amazing!

In my opinion, this is the best property in Greater Scottsdale/Phoenix. Very understated elegance, excellent food, very attentive service, the overall experience is flawless. Has a very exclusive and intimate vibe. Elements is some of the best food in the west and the lounge is a very sophisticated destination to take in unsurpassed spectacular views of the gorgeous area and mingle with other discerning travelers. No convention crowds nor is it a golf-exclusive place, both of which typically draw too many people and water down service. The spa is indulgently delicious with a broad offering of treatments to please many. Love love love this place and will continue to visit in years to come.

What a great place! This was our first visit to the area, and it was during record high temperatures, but we didn't mind one bit once we arrived at The Sanctuary. We were warmly here and offered to upgrade our room for a small fee since suites were available. Great! We opted for a spa suite since it was closer to the pool and other amenities. The room was so spacious, including the large bathroom. We had a large patio accessible from the living room or bedroom with a view over the valley, and another smaller patio off the bathroom with an outdoor soaking tub (although I will say we found that area to be less private than we thought it should be). We spent our outdoor time at the lovely pool- and we enjoyed that there were only a few other people there. The serving staff at the pool were all amazing- keeping up with everyone. We didn't indulge in any spa services, but we did spend some time in the AMAZING gym! It had everything we needed for a full workout and offered classes for yoga and pilates, too. The grounds aren't super ornate with landscaping, but it's all well done and fits the vibe. Our only disappointment was our much anticipated dinner at Element- the service was decent, but the food was incredibly underseasoned and bland- not at all what we had expected from this hyped restaurant. P.s. the bed was comfy and the curtains and bathroom doors provided the right amount of room darkening for some good sleep Overall, a very nice getaway and would recommend if you prefer smaller resorts.
