#2 of 5 hotels in Paradise Valley
Travelers' Choice
Ranked among the top hotels in the Southwest, the AAA Four Diamond Hermosa Inn is a jewel of a hideaway surrounded by an exclusive neighborhood in Paradise Valley, and minutes from Scottsdale and its many attractions. Handcrafted in the 1930s by cowboy artist Lon Megargee as his residence and art studio, the Inn's adobe architecture has kept its "authentic Arizona" character and charm. The 43 newly renovated guest casitas are nestled in a garden setting with breathtaking vistas of the lush desert and Camelback Mountain. Accommodations reflect the southwestern design of the original Casa Hermosa (beautiful house) and most include deep soaking tubs, beehive fireplaces and private patios. The culinary centerpiece is LON's at the Hermosa, a AAA Four Diamond restaurant with a Best of Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator serving globally inspired Arizona fare. The restaurant is complemented by a subterranean wine cellar, a celebrated outdoor dining patio, and LON's Last Drop bar.

The peace and tranquility of the Hermosa Inn was most welcome this year. And the warmth of the fireplace and the bubble bath were more than we could have hoped for (except maybe a bathtub big enough for both of us!). Thank you for a lovely, tasty Christmas night dinner and decadent chocolate martini nightcaps. It will be a Christmas we will always remember! Sally Mac

My husband and I stay here in October. We stayed in Casita #104. The suite was amazing with down home country feel. The patio out front had 2 lounge chairs and 2 regular chairs with a table to relax and read. The suite itself was large. There was plenty of storage for clothes and luggage. There was a fireplace which we did not use. Two very comfy chairs that set by the fireplace. The 4 poster bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had a separate tub and shower. There was also a refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker in the room. We had the bed and breakfast special so we truly enjoyed our meals every morning at Lon’s. Our waitress at breakfast was Angela and so was wonderful. The girls at the front desk Deanna and Pam were very friendly and informative. Due to COVID no one would enter our room unless requested. There were always snack and coffee in the lobby. We absolutely loved the pool and Luca was wonderful. He always knew when we were ready for drinks or food. This was truly a relaxing vacation. The Hermosa Inn is absolutely beautiful and we can’t wait to go back.

The Hermosa Inn is a beautiful property. The stay was excellent for a romantic weekend. Everything about the inn itself was perfect. The deluxe casita has a large shower and tub, a fireplace, a huge skylight, and comfy chairs by the fireplace. LON’s has great food and a romantic atmosphere, especially outside by the fountain. My only complaint is about one of the waiters at LON’s. According to the check, his name was Eric. My girlfriend and I both were not able to completely finish our meals, so there was a little bit of food left on our plates. When our waiter offered to take away my girlfriend’s plate, he made a comment that he would take her plate so she wouldn’t “graze.” We decided against dessert, but the waiter brought us something anyways - an extremely dry brownie that we couldn’t eat even if we wanted to, being that it seemed as though it had been sitting out for a few days. It took great effort to cut a piece of the brownie off. Lastly, the waiter touched my girlfriend’s shoulder, which both she and I found very inappropriate.

I love the Hermosa Inn. It’s quiet, nestled in a beautiful setting. Everyone who works there is friendly and low key and I had a great massage to boot. My stay was perfect. My room was really nice and comfy. It was close to the parking area so made coming and going very easy. We also had a delicious lunch at Lons, on the heated patio with a gorgeous view of camelback Mountain.

The perfect spot for our anniversary. The property is beautiful. The room was clean and spacious. The service was spectacular. My wife and I would choose a small, hidden gem like Hermosa Inn over the name brand larger resorts every time. True there isn't a ton to do on the property besides relax by the pool and eat, but that's what the rest of the city is for. We did a morning activity before retiring to the pool every afternoon. We ate breakfast every morning at Lon's and dinner one night - Lon's was a highlight. The food was delicious, and the service was out of this world. Can't go wrong here.
