Our family had the pleasure of experiencing the Hacienda for a Father’s Day/Birthday celebration. We had a super fun time visiting, swimming and cooking at the pool area! Our hosts Nisa and family were the absolute best!! I highly recommend this experience not only because of it’s amazing history and beauty, but the service was incredibly sweet!!

words cant explain this beautiful Hacienda! Me and my husband had our wedding here and it was the most beautiful day of our life everything was perfect the day was amazing the venue was beautiful the ceremony was incredible everything was exactly what we wanted and all thanks to Nisa for helping us from day one!.. we only looked at two other venues before going to the Hacienda but once Nisa gave us the tour we know right there and then that this was where our wedding was going to happen. Nisa welcomed us with open arms making us feel at home making us feel so comfortable And being our first wedding we had no idea what was to come. But She made it non-stressful and very easy to plan... she even let me barrow some of her beautiful Decorations that fit perfect... AND THE ROOMS let me just tell you guys about the rooms and the beautiful Mural they are amazing! Nisa told us the story in the historic history of the Hacienda and it made us love it even more.. The rooms all have their different theme everything is clean everything is comfortable If you need something Nisa is there to get it for you no worries no questions asked... and the breakfast was so delicious the next day we hang out by the pool in the morning had our breakfast had a Mamosa had a coffee it was great and Nisa never made us feel rushed or that we had to leave...it was very relaxing.. Nisa treated us and my family and friends with so much respect and kindness I can’t think her enough for everything she did for us... she will forever be in our hearts for making our day so memorable definitely going to be booking our events there for now on....

AHHHH Victoria and Omar!! Thank you so much for your kind words. To this day your wedding was by far one of the most beautiful I've seen here at the Hacienda. There was so much love in the air. You two are a fine example of what genuine love and friendship embodies. As we all know weddings can be stressful at times as there are so many details to perfect! Well, you and Omar made it all seem like a breeze. I love my job and I love being able to assist with the planning process especially when the happy couple are like you two. Your family and friends that supported you on your special day were just as special as you two! We have stayed at the Hacienda several times as a couple and with friends and family. It never fails to charm us. We always have the best, most relaxing time and the breakfast is to die for! The owner treats you like family, but doesn't micro manage. You are free to lounge by the pool, wander the ranch, hang out tin the common areas and play games, whatever you like. It is a true relaxing getaway, with no TV's or distractions. If you are looking for a truly unique destination, close to Tucson, but miles away from the hustle and bustle, with a magical pool, courtyard and grounds, this is the place. If you have a little extra time to spend in Southern Arizona, skip those Catalina foothill resorts and check this place out!

I attended a wedding here, and was appalled at the way the hostess talked down to the Bride and Groom. The venue was rented for the whole weekend. AC was not working properly, flooded guest room, the serving staff took the food home , the alcohol disappeared too., And they supposedly threw away the WEDDING CAKE!!!! I have never been more disgusted with Business . Even with the whole venue being rented for the weekend, they turned out the outside lights at 10 pm. 👎👎👎👎👎

Hello Jennybanditagarcia. We received your comment on our Trip Advisor page and I am grateful to have the opportunity to respond here. I’m sorry that you did not come to any of our staff the night of the wedding or any time since then with your questions and comments. We would have been happy to explain how the “behind the scenes” of our weddings work. I know that we are extremely proud of our 5 star reputation and we work very hard to maintain it. Over our 18 years of being in business and more than 200+ weddings, we have never received a review such as yours. I would like to give you some insight about how we work and how our weddings are choreographed. We are a family run business. My parents both passed away from cancer a couple of years ago and I took over the business after caring for them. They lovingly restored this Hacienda from the ground up; every single inch of it. But it is important to know that the buildings are all over 100 years old and our site is a historic site. We take great pride in making sure that everyone has a memorable and enjoyable experience during their stay here while also staying safe. Safety is our top priority! You did not specifically mention which wedding it was, as we have a lot of them. I’m assuming it was the June 15 wedding? This is the only recent wedding that the bride and groom requested and paid to end the festivities at 10pm. .At Hacienda Corona we work with and respect everyone’s budget as they are planning their wedding and with this particular one their budget was very conservative. In addition, they had huge concerns that if their wedding went any later, it may result in their guests consuming too much alcohol. If I may speak directly to the issues that you mentioned as this is the first and only time I have heard of them since the wedding took place two weeks ago. *Our wedding contracts with the bride and groom are for a 5 HOUR block of time. The bride and groom are the ones that choose when that time should stop and start. For this particular wedding, their clock started at 4pm with their ceremony. Hacienda Corona actually extended to them an extra hour at NO charge. This is why their party ended at 10pm. The bride and groom were the ones to specify the conclusion of their event, not Hacienda Corona. *As far as “turning off the lights”, there is no real possible way to do this. We are an outside venue and all of the lighting we offer is how people see, including us! Anything “indicating” that the wedding was over was done so by the bride and groom or someone in their own party. The bride and groom did have additional twinkle lights strung up near their bar that THEY unplugged at 10pm. With this particular wedding, we were given STRICT directions from the bride and the groom that their event was to be finished at 10pm. However, most of our weddings conclude around midnight or 1 AM. Of course all weddings and events need to have a stop and start time, but these times are dictated by what the bride and groom have paid for. Hacienda Corona ALSO offers additional hours that can be contracted separately if the bride and the groom wish to do so. For this wedding the guests that THEY invited to stay in the private rooms overnight and whom had confirmed reservations, actually continued their party into the early hours of the morning! Their private party didn’t conclude until about 1 AM as I recall. *The WAITSTAFF is always hired directly through the bride and groom. With ALL of our weddings, the bride and groom are responsible for hiring their own vendors (i.e. caterers, band, florist, Dj, cake, etc.). Hacienda Corona has carefully crafted a list of local vendors that we provide to our brides and grooms that they may use if they wish. Every vendor we suggest we have worked with before, first hand, and know the 5 star service they offer. Once dinner concluded, I specifically inquired with the groom if I could feed the staff (3 waiters) once their service was complete considering they hadn’t eaten in several hours. The groom’s answer was “of course”. As a sidenote, it is customary for any of the hired service staff to eat once their shift is completed. * ALL of the leftovers from the wedding the caterers and I bagged up ourselves and ALL were given to the bride and the groom the next morning in large serving bags. There were six in total along with a tall bucket of their ceviche and a large freezer bag to hold all of their cold food items. All of the extra food went with the bride and the groom as they needed to return the borrowed items to the caterer. *In terms of the CAKE, I personally brought the cake out twice during the wedding (we didn’t want it to sit in the sun). We offered to assist them if they wanted to go ahead and cut it. We also offered the proper utensils to do so since they did not bring their own. The bride informed me that after cutting the cake they wanted me to “just put it inside somewhere” and they would eat it the next day. This was at approximately 9:45pm and the bride wanted to make sure all of her guests that were NOT staying overnight departed the venue by 10pm. The day after the wedding I personally included the cake in the dining room where my staff and I served their post wedding champagne brunch to 20 of their closest family and friends. I’m sorry since it sounds like you were not invited to share in the post wedding festivities. The bride and groom and family stayed until about 3 o’clock that afternoon enjoying the pool and the property. What they did not eat of the cake (2 layers), I personally wrapped in tinfoil and boxed it up making it easy for travel since they would be taking it home with them. Once the bride and groom collected all of their belongings, they realized that they did not have room in their car and they came back the next day to pick up the cake and a few other items left behind. *We do not carry a LIQUOR license and because of this, every event that has ANY alcoholic beverages offered are purchased and handled from the bride and groom directly. They bring in ALL of the beverages, and they take away any beverages that are not consumed. I do know that they had a very limited selection and amount of alcoholic offerings for their invited wedding guests. A HUGE concern of the bride and groom’s ( addressed in every one of our planning meetings) was that some of their guests have been known to consume too much alcohol. They did not want to be responsible for any possible damage sustained to our historic property or their wedding. *In terms of the air conditioning, I’m not sure which you are referring to? None of this wedding was hosted indoors. We typically do not host weddings inside the Hacienda. All of our events happen outside since the majority of what we offer is an outside venue. *Flooded guest room????? We didn’t have any rooms flooded so I’m not sure what you were referring to? Hacienda Corona also has a very strict policy that we do not allow non-overnight guests into the private rooms. We want to ensure absolute privacy and safety for those guests and we have found that this is the best policy to protect that. *As far as “yelling at the bride and groom”, I cannot imagine yelling at any bride or groom. It’s just not part of my nature. I am a firm believer in treating people the way they have treated me. *Our venue was not rented by them for the entire weekend. Hacienda Corona GIFTED dinner and the bridal suite to the bride and the groom the night prior to the wedding. Lastly, I personally work hand-in-hand with all of our brides and grooms, every step of the planning process. I take great pride in my relationships with all of the couples that we help and I am grateful for the friendships I have created in doing so. I do not charge for my time and I thoroughly enjoy being a part of planning such a special day! I too hosted my wedding here 12 years ago and I’m privileged to share the experience with others now! Again, I am sorry that you did not come to any of us the night of the wedding, call or stop by since, and/or speak to any of us directly. The bride and the groom have but only graciously thanked us for our patience with it all and helping them with their special night. As the owner, I can promise you that we would have explained, gone over, answered any questions about the wedding you may have had that evening. Perhaps it would’ve helped you to have a better understanding of where the bride and groom start and Hacienda Corona stops. Either way, I value your feedback as we always strive to do our best.
