We visited Sheraton for my 25th birthday and all the staff in the hotel made that day very special. They also helped my partner to organize perfect proposal later that afternoon. All this extra effort is really appreciated by us.
Now about hotel

Eating at the resort does cost more than if you went to Apia town. There is a free shuttle to the other Sheraton hotel in Apia. From there it is an easy walk to restaurants and bars ranging from cheap eats like burgers to pasta if you want something nicer. Taking a taxi back to the resort isn't expensive at all.
There aren't any other restaurants near the resort at all.
We also took some snacks with us eg chips, crackers, biscuits. You can buy some food from the minimart (not walking distance, need to drive/taxi). We also bought booze from duty free and bought some juice/mixers from the minimart.
