I loved my holiday here. Beautiful beach and beautiful people. All the staff were lovely but special shout out to Joyce for all her extra care. Yes, there could be a few little improvements but we've just come out of covid so completely understandable. Recommended!
Relaxing beatiful view , fabulous breakfast and happy helpful staff . Had a lovely massage in their outdoor spa . Hotel is under going renovations / improvements . We were stuck at the airport after plane cancelled and staff did a wonderful job helping us find a room and sent a taxi for us .
Once one of the most elegant hotels in Apia, this hotel has sadly fallen into disrepair and poor management. The photos on the booking website must of been taken a decade ago as the rooms are in desperate need of modernisation. The once magnificent gardens and lawns need some TLC. Half of the hotel has closed down and many of the amenities no longer exist. Here are some of the many issues we found: The television didn't work and had exposed wires, the old fridge hadn't been cleaned and had blood drips on the shelf and the room telephone was broken! The entrance road leading into the hotel is full of potholes and needs some lighting. The food offered is very limited and the prices are unbelievably expensive. As it stands, the hotel shouldn't be open and I'm surprised the Sheraton brand remains involved. The only positives are the excellent gym and the warm welcome from the slightly embarrassed reception team.…
My husband I had the most amazing stay at the Sheraton Samoa for our anniversary in December. It was absolutely perfect from start to finish, the hotel and setting are beautiful and the staff went above and beyond for us - we honestly couldn't have asked for a better holiday. Everyone we talked to at the hotel was just so lovely, truly the most welcoming staff out of anywhere we have ever stayed, and we have travelled a lot. I'd like to say a massive thank you to Soloi, Talia, Fa'fetai, Iafeta, Missi and Leianna and all the other staff for being so amazing and even helping out my Samoan language learning! An extra massive thank you to incredible chef Aravindh for making us an exceptional and super special meal for our anniversary. We will never forget our stay here, and we can't wait to return soon. Thank you so much to everyone at the Sheraton for a magical stay. Fa'afetai tele lava!…
I think COVID has hit this resort hard. There are some small repairs and upgrades that need to happen, but I think staffing and supply issues have limited this. The souvenir shop, dive/snorkel shop, casino, and swim-up bar were not open the whole time we were there, and a fiafia cultural show was promised night after night but the dancers never showed up. They gave us some free drinks to compensate for the lack of snow. There isn’t a gym/sauna etc as it says in the description. There were often supply issues. They seemed to struggle with the house keeping; our room wasn’t ready when we arrived at 6pm and the room wasn’t cleaned/made up every day, one day they didn’t come until 6.30pm to do it. The food was ok, as a vegan I found it hard as this concept is entirely foreign in Samoa. But they tried hard to accommodate me. It would have been nice to see local food on the menu (eg. fruit at the breakfast buffet). The atmosphere was a bit dull, they could have played music for those lounging by the pool, and they could have made a fortune if they were circulating around the sunbathers to ask if they needed food or drinks brought over. The location is not close to town, it’s about 45 minutes to Apia (70 tala taxi ride). But if you were staying in town you wouldn’t get the resort feel. That said, the bathroom was nice, the beds were comfortable, and it was quiet and relaxing. The pool is great, and the private beach is stunning. The staff make this place - they are all so friendly and lovely and made us feel so welcome.…
The hotel location is ideal and have nice view of the Black Sea, it have great facilities. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and trying to accommodate all of our needs. The hotel have two private beaches and a safe kids playing area. I saw the event room and the business functions ballrooms which can accommodate big numbers of guests. For sure we will come back with the family.
we had our room broken into while we were asleep, but threw our passports into the bushes below next to a length of pipe. Phones and some cash. Police called. Said they would make a report.. Months later said no evidence. Cash stolen out of shorts while snorkelling. Hotel was kind to comp us free massages!
We had enjoyed our stay at Sheraton resort. We love the place because its quiet and away for town and has all the amenities that a visitor would prefer for comfortable stay. The room we stayed is spacious and clean. The kids love the swimming pool not only its big but there are big plant beside it that makes some shades during the day while swimming and relaxing. We are planning to go here soon not only its affordable but has a very relaxing environment.
Hi I am well traveled and hardly ever complain but, Well, it is bit like a retirement village. The bathrooms smell / stink even if you air it out even if you try your best it smells. Ya just gotta hire an Avis car at the airport only choice no other airport to airport really . The hotel car hire guy wanted to rehire the car each time I parked in the car park I had hired it for a week. The cracked window screen really was unforgivable but it was the only wreck available. On the last day our flight was late [9.30 pm] well if you don't have a vehicle you are trapped till they take you to the airport 2 hours before the flight, If you are late checking out it is $230 Samoan. I really got sick of Talofa every time a staff member spoke. The staff are OK but they remind you that in summer time the Samoan owners takeover and holiday at the hotel as a bonus it is not necessary conversation. The beach is crap terrible and the Flight centre truly recommended the dump , the old golf course is over grown and a home for some of the largest rats I have seen ever ,the size of kittens. Not recommended at all. Yes the pool looks great in the photograph and I don't like the way the staff of the courtesy van look at you as if they want a tip I happily tip but not to grabbers we or I am no fool and don't like the substandard offering at all try some other place not this one because it is so close to the airport the planes fly over your bedroom.Oh and the Louis Stevenson Museum opens and closes when the staff want to if it is to hot they go home so I missed the reason I went to Samoa .…
This is a very lovely resort. We were there for 5 weeks. The pool is gorgeous. The rooms are nice with a beautiful view. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioning kept an even, comfortable temperature! The one girl at the front desk ( I wish I could remember her name) was always so cheerful and helpful. She even helped me write a note in the Samoan language! We did try all the restaurants but our favorite was the Solvent bar. Now for my favorite part of the resort...the breakfast room. Run by the most lovely people and the food was delicious! They truly care about the guests experience! I am going to name my favorite. Not to take away from any of the staff because they were all great. But my favorite (and my husband’s) was Saumama! What an asset she is to this resort. She truly cared about our experience at breakfast and our whole stay. She was so very friendly and interesting. I hope Saumama reads this review so she knows how much the guests appreciate what she does. Maybe she will even tell my Russian friend and baby hello for me! The negatives are short but...housekeeping wasn’t consistent. The spa and gym are too far away from everything. There are no laundry facilities. Our experience overall was quite lovely. I know most probably won’t stay as long as we did (5 weeks because of work) but I would definitely recommend staying at the Sheraton Beach Resort Samoa. The entire experience in this lovely country was pretty great! …
