The first day we checked in with my husband 1 year old daughter and 2 members of our staff from Savaii that needs to do some work in Apia I must say the front lady working she was very friendly and kind, she is always keen to answered any questions we asked about the hotel. Our second day the new shift came in and we wanted to extend our stay then Adrian the front desk lady told my husband that the villa we stayed is not available as they have other guests check in today. So we were moved to 2 standards room at the back. We came back to the hotel around 6:30 pm and the fist thing I saw the villa we stayed before is still empty because the curtains were opened and when we enter our standard room the floor was all wet the water is leaking from the AC, when my husband asked the kind lady who checked us in about the villa and we find it sad knowing that there is no guests checking in but why lied to us? our two staff who were up early that same morning told us that some of the staff keep staring at them and some even rolled eyes when they smiled. This is really sad thinking that maybe Adrian and some of the female staff who works that morning look down on local people like us esp from Savaii. From my experience working 7 years in a hotel our staff never treat our local people differently because they are also paying with money just like every other guests. I know you do have staff that are so kind and the way they serve guests is 100% just like the first lady who checked us in and moved us back to the villa the night we found out that Adrian lied to us. Not forgetting the young gentleman who came and apologies to us and helping us with our bags. They deserve credit for being so generous.

This was a last minute booking for us as we couldn’t find our Airbnb that night. Stayed the night and paid about $55 USD. This is like your motel 8 or motels that they would use as a homeless overflow back in the US, so lower your expectations slightly and don’t expect anything fancy like you would get at a Hilton or Marriott. You will have missing light fixtures and a shower head, but that only adds to the experience.

My only complaint was that the room was too cold and there was no thermostat or remote control to turn it down or off. We ended up having to go outside to warm up lol. Otherwise, we got what we paid for and some (including the mosquitos in the room).

The staff was very helpful and made sure that our luggage went from our car to our room safely.

Would we stay here again? I would but my wife probably wouldn’t..

Disclaimer - we only stayed one night, so probably not enough time to really be subjective and fair with my review of this property.

Stayed here for 9 days. Stayed at a deluxe room. Pool front. The room I stayed in was a deluxe I think. 2 beds. Was ok. In terms of cleaniness of the rooms. The first day. I had to ask the staff to come and clean the spilt dirty mop bucket water. The bathroom had long hair on the walls and sides. The cleaning staff really need to be trained. The location of the hotel is great sea view. Saturday Friday, Saturday the Bar becomes a club and expect noise until late night. The breakfast does not at all reflect the price you pay for the room. The management needs to really bring in the Samoan Hospitality in the Hotel Managements. The price of the rooms are over rated.

We checked in earlier than our planned stay due to our other accommodation falling through and I am glad we did, so we could see the state of the room and had time to cancel our planned booking which had been booked for 4 nights.
On arrival, the receptionist was busy serving someone so we waited however after dealing with that person she completely ignored us whilst she spoke to another guest who had arrived after we did, their conversation went on for 10 minutes and after they were done she finally acknowledged us. We checked in and went up to our room which was a standard room, I wasn't expecting much considering it was a standard room but what I was met with was so disappointing and below anyones expectation of standard.
The towels looked like they could've been used as rags, the beds were only covered with one sheet and the bathroom only had toilet paper and a used bar of soap.
We were in room 1 which was an attic room with one of the corners of the room completely dark, the room was dimly lit and only 2 of the lights in the entirety of the room worked which added to the creepiness. We asked the porter if there was a possibility of us changing rooms as I found the room very unsettling and creepy and he insisted that there was no vacancy in the other rooms and that they were fully booked despite my mother hearing the receptionist offer a room to the guest she was talking to and saying there was plenty of rooms available as their original one had cockroaches in it.
We then asked the porter if he could find a lightbulb for the light that didn't have one in it to help illuminate the room so it was less creepy or if not a lightbulb then a lamp. When we returned from dinner 2 hours later we asked the porter on our way to the room if there was any resolution to the issue with the lights and he told us that they have no lightbulbs or lamps because all the ministers were using them and that the person who has the key is gone home. We were shocked by the response or lack thereof.
Breakfast was mediocre as was the room and after the bad experience we cancelled our booking and checked out the next morning. All paying guests should be treated the same regardless of their occupation and status, I understand that respect should be given to Ministers and Pastors however I don't think that should be at the cost of other patrons' experience.
Not only did the room not meet the description posted the photos posted aren’t the same room we were given.

Just plain terrible. Popped in for dinner only. I ordered a Pina Colada - partner ordered a red wine. Pina Colada came out in a small glass, no garnish at all and clearly watered down and the mixture was separating. The red wine came out in a beer fridge cold wine glass and the wine was incredibly cold and came with a straw. The food, well disgusting , we both ordered chicken wings with chips and salad. On presentation the coleslaw/salad had a seafood thousand island dressing on it…. It should have been mayonnaise, the 7 wings were fully coated with what appeared to be a bbq sauce. The chips were edible.

The total bill came to $74 tala about NZ $ 45.00. We were presented with the bill as the food came out. I said to the young waitress I will pay when we have had the meal. Honestly this has to be one of the worst meals and drinks that we have ever had. I wished we had stayed next door at The Amanaki Hotel, now that’s class. Melanie you need to,sort your chef out and the person on drinks needs to go. Will never go back again.

Come in, enjoy the best views in Apia and you'll want to stay forever..This was sadly not the case by a mile. My first and last time booking this hotel if the service and facilities remain are not improved. Our room had a leaking aircon, leaking fridge, chef was gone by lunch so always had to eat out (thankfully Amanaki restaurant was right next door), rooms are not very soundproof, rooms were not cleaned regularly (we stayed 8nights and only cleaned once so we cleaned it ourselves), free breakfast was the same for almost all 7days (one item changed from day to day), the only positive was the location (easy access to town). Tiles around the pool were damaged, linen had holes in them & lights over the beds were not working/missing bulbs. Wouldn't recommend staying here anytime soon.

Struggling where to start, really. I have stayed in a lot of hotels. This one takes the cake for overall poorly run, priced, and service. We were allocated what we call the broom closet bcos it's right in front of the foyer, underneath the stairs and right next to the housekeeping room. This room was obviously part of the janitors closet divided by gyprock sheet. You can hear everything every time a staff member enters the room next door and starts banging on their equipment (early hrs). You can hear every person who walks around the foyer or sitting down having conversations. As you open the door BAM you can see the bed! The floor was flooded as you entered with the housekeeping staff, a lack of skills in cleaning the floor properly it's like they just poured a bucket of water!Kettle was provided with no cups or spoons. The bathroom was brand new with no shelf to store your toiletries in and out of the shower, not even a hook! Cheap TV that you can not understand a word as the sound system sucked. Went out to check out the pool - erk! Floating hairs and other unknown objects looked like they hadn't been cleaned for a while. Went to eat at their restaurant/bar. Nothing was available that was on the menu!
To top it off, the staff - yes, the staff are constantly lounging around and chatting away in the foyer, the public space for guess. OK, I get it. we are in the islands, but seriously, there is a place for them to lounge, not in front of the guess. First experience for me as most hotels you don't see staff doing this!
At the end of the day, the price you pay at this hotel does not, I repeat, DOESN'T justify it. You can not even get a friendly greeting!

Ps. We were told there were no other rooms available for us to move!

I don’t know where to start with Millenia. I know people say “you get what you pay for” but there is no excuse as to why there should be cockroaches, mould in the rooms and showers and bed bugs when we are paying 275.00 WST a night. An absolute rip off.

Not to mention, when we got to our room, there was an overwhelming stench of urine coming from the bathroom.

The pool water looks like it hasn’t been changed in years and smells horrendous.

Staff are not friendly at all and customer service is lacking.

I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone. There are NO hygiene standards and I couldn’t wait to leave.

I was so disappointed when I looked and saw other beautiful resorts we would have stayed at for a tiny bit extra than what we paid here.

Please do not waste your money here. Absolutely disgusting.

The room was run down and unclean, it was also away from the main building and different to the photos advertised on the website. One of our towels was stained and unusable. Overall a disappointing experience and would not stay here again.

I stayed 5 weeks, i found this family run hotel to have mostly friendly and helpful staff, The food is middle of the road, one of the chefs is excellent. House keeping staff are excellent, it would have been better if the patrons read the pool rules.
Still overal this hotel is value for money and has the cheapest bar in Apia

Best to ask the hotel in case things have changed but all the times I have stayed there, have not had to leave a security deposit
