My partner and I stayed at Moanalisa after a trip from Savaii. We decided to opt for a villa and booked online. Upon arrival I waited at the reception area for a good 20mins before anyone actually appeared, when they did 2 girls walked quickly past me and 1 stayed to help as I was noticeably annoyed. When retrieving my... More

Stayed here for 4 nights. Friendly staff and clean room. Its good for business trip as yu crash after meetings. A slight negative was traffic noise if room on roadside. The shuttle transfer was expensive for 5 people in a mini van with 50 Tala each. Very basic breakfast so keep some spares in the room.

Chose this hotel as the location was quite handy. Close to the city but also nearby family & location of a function we needed to attend. It is quite easy to get to as its on the main road. On arrival we were greeted by a rude receptionist with very little English. She had trouble locating our booking and then... More

Stayed previously in a downstairs garden view, easy pool access room in 2011, which was a clean room for 2. After a stay in Savaii, we came back to our room moved upstairs. Not as nice as the groundfloor room but the room was the same, just the access up and downstairs via reception was the only downfall but no... More

It's a perfect oasis in the middle of a busy Vaitele. The rooms are great, the pool is very nice for a cool down after a hot day out. This is a great place whether you are a business traveller or traveling with your family. Very friendly owners and staff

We stayed here 3 nights during our trip. The hotel is nice, clean, good A/C, but very loud. They had a band on a Friday night and the guests in another room nearby were drunk and very loud. You could hear them laughing and talking until the early morning. Then one of them got sick and you could hear her... More

The service was terrible. The bathroom had a foul smell you couldnt not flush the toilet properly. There were cobwebs behind the doors and on the ceiling. The stuffed up our dinner not once but twice. They also stuffed up my booking by over charging. They made the mistake and did not give us a discount. The breakfast and dinner... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Moanalisa Hotel is named after daughters of the owners Liz and John Hunt who first built the hotel in 2010. The hotel is located in Vaitele on the main road between Apia and the airport only a few minutes from Apia city. Liz and John manage the hotel along with their children - which makes it very much a family affair. They are ably supported by their other friendly and helpful staff members and boast having one of the best restaurants in town. Their goal is to make every guest feel like a member of the family. Guest rooms are tastefully decorated, extremely clean and well appointed with new LCD TV, bar fridge, telephone, and coffee/tea making facilities in room. There are many local amenities close by including transport to/from the city or airport, car rental, bank and a medical center right outside the front door. The newly built Vaitele Markets are also located right across the road from the hotel. All this combines to truly make Moanalisa Hotel your family and home in the heart of Polynesia. ... more   less
