Lusia's gets a decidedly mixed review from me - the positives were very positive, and the negatives really impacted my enjoyment of my time there. Overwater fale was fun to stay in, and the deck view for both sunrise and watching fish was incredible to enjoy. However, even with the mosquito netting there were plenty of bugs, particularly when I... More

Their rock pool was full of rubbish and the service was terrible. Staff asleep on the reception desk and playing on phones. Not at all willing to help. If you stay in the main block you get woken up by traffic at about 5 o'clock in the morning. They were VERY expensive and terrible value for money. Breakfast is average:... More

great location, but a bit more road noise than expected. Walked to Saturday morning market which was very busy and well worth going too. We stayed in the family unit on the top floor of the large building. It was very clean, air conditioning, showers, table and chairs, view from deck all great. Staff very helpful. very close to ferry... More

I had an excellent stay at Lusia's Lagoon chalets, thanks in particular to Henry and his dedicated and engaging colleagues. We elected to stay in the lagoon-front fale, which was a basic fale with only a bed. As a lover of nature, I was instantly enamoured with this resort - quiet, peaceful and offering many outdoor activities- namely, swimming, kayaking... More

The over-water chalets are beautiful, great to fall asleep listening to water leaking beneath you. Service OK, usual for Samoa. Shower is cold water only, and path to it is quite dark - not great for late night bathroom trips.

Attracted by the slick advertising, we were disappointed and left early. We were not told that Lusia's would deduct a deposit from the credit card nor when they had done so. Despite booking in advance we were told only certain rooms were available when we arrived. We soon discovered why. The Samoan Ministries of Tourism & Health had snapped up... More

Mostly a nice stay with a few unfortunate happenings. The Good: Henry is cheery, welcoming and helpful Beautiful setting Nice and cool underneath the trees Discounted rates Free use of snorkels, kayaks etc Food was pretty good, apart from the "cake" The Bad: Loud, drunk locals who left their rubbish everywhere, Henry doesn't write down your order so be prepared... Last year Lusia's was under the management of Jim, and the place was humming. Meals came out quickly, there were ingredients for cocktails and main meals and it was an enjoyable stay. I thought long and hard about posting another review after my stay this year, as Henry and Tui were still doing an outstanding job of trying to make... More

Convenient to the ferry. Three levels of accommodation : lagoon chalet and garden chalet both of which are very basic (without bathrooms - separate communal block) which suits backpackers. Third category is step up from this, rooms with ensuite, tiled floor and air conditioning. Basic furnishing (able to sleep 2 to 4, in three story block). Looks out over lagoon.... More
