We came here for lunch and had the lobster salad and the seafood platter. It was so delicious and such good value! The restaurant overlooks the water, which is really nice. The staff are very friendly. We were told by our guide that the service would be slow, but we thought the food came out reasonably quickly. It was low... More

This is our second trip to Samoa, the first being some 9 years ago. Again, we went to the Island of Savaii after staying overnight at the Airport Lodge near the Ferry. The trip to Va-i-Moana Resort is about 150kms and we took a taxi up the western side of Savaii but if you are keen and quick, try the... More

This is a lovely wee place on the shores of Asau bay, it has a real mixture of accomodations which means it can tick most peoples boxes, from the most basic of beach fales through good quality family rooms up to comfortable air conditioned fales right over the water, so as you can see, there is a room to suit... Our adventure to vaimoana started with the 1hour ferry ride to Savai'i then an enjoyable drive in our hire car just under 2 hours to vaimoana. We booked direct which seems to be the cheapest way, where do I start the continental breakfast is good plenty to choose from with different yummy cooked pancakes or muffins each day, included in... We stayed here for our first 4 nights in Samoa. The lodge is set on a lovely spot with differing types of accomodation. There is a nice little beach and free use of kayaks which we used to go over to the island for snorkelling. We stayed in an waterfront fale with bathroom which I have mixed feeling about. The fale... we were unfortunate to come to our accommodation and have the realization that our room was double booked and having a 10 months baby this was very concerning. BUT Va i Moana being understanding and considerate realizing the room we were left with was not fit for a baby, upgraded us to a beautiful room and with this we are... More

We stayed here during the last leg of our holiday regrettably! As we only spent 2 nights but from check in to check out everything Vaimoana had to offer was such a warming and great experience. Samoa is not really known for their resorts but Vaimoana definitely makes the top list! Me and my partner are both Samoan, born in... More

After ten days in a beachfront fale on Upolu, I was looking forward to an overwater fale with a private bathroom. When I arrived I was informed that the resort was quite full so i had been upgraded to an air-conditioned room at the back for 2 nights and then to one at the front for the remaining 3. I... More

I stayed for 6 nights in an air conditioned fale with hot shower. Everything was better than I expected. The service and care the staff take is second to none. A highlight was the village tour with Nu'u, very informative and enjoyable. The weather was great and I now know that the weather is dryer on Savaii than Apia so... More

Well where do I start! Stayed her for 3 nights with my family, and we have already decided to return and stay for longer. Nu'u, Michelle and the staff are amazing, and obviously really care about their business. Could not fault the place and the service was outstanding, especially from the day-to-day staff, especially Maua who was wonderful. Don't expect... More
