Visited savaii on the weekend with family for the palolo fest, we drove out to vaimoana to look for accomodation n found they were fully booked, all resorts on that end were all booked out. We spoke to the front officer i think her name is michelle n found her very accomodating friendly n professional as she tried to help us by calling other hotels around the area to see if any availability for us. Because it is palolo season this is the place to be, as it is very convenient to join the village or catch palolo early hours of the morning which we got to experience this n would like to thank rosie n saleimoa the lovely owners of vaimoana for going out of there way to try and find us a room as we had no where else to stay, we truly appreciate your hospitality. I highly recommend this place as the staff are very friendly and very approchable. Thank you also for finding the gin i wanted for the night. Will defenitly be back again with all my family.…
We stayed at Vaimoana for business for 4 weeks. Everything was great but the best thing i missed if the beautiful beach you can swim and collect sea urchins and other edible sea creatures at the same time or drop a line to catch a fish..wow just missed this fun part..I am sure next time i will take my family to spend weekend there.
I have stayed at Va-i-Moana before with my husband and friends. We had a lovey time, so I decided to bring family members back here. We had one night booked and then we were heading to Manase the next day. The staff here at Va-i-Moana are so friendly and lovely. Each staff member introduced themselves by name and have remembered our names, which really personalises the experience. We had lunch and dinner. The food has been really good. The only thing I would recommend to the Resort would be to have some vegetarian options. The breakfast is good with plenty of fresh fruit and some lovely Samoan dishes like Koko Esi. So we left to go to Manase and find some fales to stay in. In the end we decided to go back to Va-i-Moana, as the fales at Manase just didn’t appeal. So we went back and got the same room which has aircon of needs and a spacious bathroom, as well as a wonderful view of the ocean, from the front deck. I would definitely recommend this Seaside Lodge. It’s a very pleasant place to stay. It is the staff that really stand out. Super lovely people!. Fa’afetai lava tele for a great stay! …
Had a meal here in January 2020, walk in not in house guest. It took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get our meals 2 x fish and chips and fish coconut sauce. Very small portions. 2 of the 3 small pieces of fish in my meal were cut from the thin end of the fillet. But watched in house guests get meals much quicker and much larger servings. Also stick with the Taula, cocktails very poor.
Stayed here for 2 nights. The staff are amazing...nothing was a problem for the staff. Food was great and very reasonably priced. Drinks are also well priced (not Resort Prices) plus the location was perfect. Highly recommend
4th stay at the wonderful Vaimoana. Cannot praise the staff enough. Very friendly and caring. A fantastic place to just chill and relax. Sunset fales are wonderful. Sitting on the balcony watching the tides right below you is very special. Great food.
Turned up to this place late in the afternoon and was blown away by the location. Perfect little fales on the beach and a restaurant with a view. Staff were lovely, food was good and an overall excellent experience. Make sure you stay in the beach fales, but the waves can take a little getting used to as you are lulled off to sleep! Best value for money stay in Samoa.
Staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs during our stay. A simple set up in terms of its accommodation and comfortable. A very spacious shower and the beds were ok. My son enjoyed his swim, not the best beach but safe for children. Thank you to the staff and also the entertainer who gave one of our workers the opportunity to sing. Well done Vaimoana.
This guys were awesome! We had a room upgraded due to a possible bad weather and everything was perfect! Large tidy bathroom. Dinner was included and seriously...it was a feast! And tasted so good! One of their staffs made a demonstration on how to make coconut cream from the scratch showing how it’s done in Samoa. Even though some of their traditional food wasn’t available to order, we loved staying there!
This is our 2nd stay and when we walked into the sunset fale it felt like we had come home. I agree with all the other comments in the other reviews regarding amazing location, activities, food etc all good. But it is the Samoan vibe and authentic friendliness that I believe surpasses other resorts we stayed at. We have been treated as family and that's what works for us. Michelle does a great job of management and nothing is too much trouble. Tile is the mother and has a lot of respect from staff. Pauline and Taka have really gained a lot of experience from last year they do a wonderful job. Angela Tami Nicky Lani are also well on their way in hospitality. We will be back next year.
