Some 45 kilometres by car from Baños you arrive in this lovely hacienda, hidden deep in the valley near the village of Patate. A warm welcome by the three lovely dogs, who will go with you on all your walks. Rooms in the hacienda or in the fairly new bungalows in the small, but lovely garden. If can: book number...

We were lucky enough get one of their very new rooms.... A large room with a huge step down living room, and floor to ceiling glass. The view was beyond breathtaking! The grounds are beautiful. The restaurant is mediocre at best, same as the service.... However, if you can withstand the nail biting drive up the side of a mountain,...

This small boutique hotel is just outside the town of Banos in Ecuador and a winding road takes you there. It used to be the home of a landowner. It still feels like walking back in time—to home. The hotel is situated on a mountain in a large garden filled with friendly dogs, exotic birds and plants. The main house...

The grounds here are absolutely gorgeous, the views spectacular. We had a new room in the gardens and were so impressed! The staff, importantly, is so kind, attentive, and helpful, and the food we had was absolutely delicious. It's so nice that there is coffee/tea available and a cozy living area to relax off the lobby. I cannot recommend this...

We stayed here along with our family of 10 traveling with Gate 1 Tours. Room sizes varied greatly. A few of our traveling companions were not happy with the shoebox sized room they were given, not good! Being the matriarch and patriarch and paying for the trip we lucked out with a gorgeous modern glass walled bungalow just above the...

The room I stayed in is the best room ever. It’s one of the newest rooms and there are no rooms or any man-made things between this room and a great view. The front view (floor to ceiling window) was a volcanic mountain with clouds surrounding it. Both side windows have also a mountain view. All four sides of the...

Our bus drove along many winding, steep roads to reach this beautiful hacienda. It was well worth the drive. The rooms vary greatly (request one of the newer detached rooms with wall to ceiling windows). The lodge overlooks the mountains, countryside and an active volcano. The manager took us to the barn to see week old baby piglets. There are...

The location is great but the weather was such that I didn't go out exploring for the one night stay during a Gate 1 Tour. I slept in a room in the main Hacienda, the beds were comfortable, the floors were very squeaky, and the breakfast was minimal which created a few grumblings among the tour guests. Would I stay...

We only stayed for one night - I wish it could have been for longer. The hacienda is set in beautiful grounds and has a lovely lounge area. The highlight is a feeding station for humming birds. Our room was lovely. The evening meal was a bit pricey and disappointing. Breakfast was very nice. Wifi was temperamental.
