Amazing hacienda, located in a very beautiful place. The hospitality and kindness of the staff was wonderful! I would recommend visitors to stay in the main building instead of the suites, and book an hour of horse riding with a guide in the beautiful area.

This was a cozy spot with beautiful grounds and lovely welcoming dogs. A family atmosphere and very helpful staff. The rooms were nice and clean, but cold. I was able to look in a few more rooms and they were all different but cute. We did have a heater but it didn't really heat up the room... at all! It... More

This lodge was selected by the tour company. Other than a walk through the gardens and petting the two dogs it's not worth the long winding journey up hill for a cold nite sleep. A "warm" welcome reception for guests by lightning the fire place would have been nice, the building was ice cold. Some rooms had mini fire places,... More

This is a wonderful hotel to stay with family or friends. I have been there on several occasions, and every time we had the same excellent experience. It is located in the mountains, so it is quite, have a beautiful garden, great views of Tungurahua volcano. The rooms are beautiful, very well decorated, and the whole place is very homey.... More

This is a great place to go with family and friends. Service is great and very friendly and rooms are comfortable. Nature is everywhere with the imposing Tungurahua volcano towering above. It is also active (don't worry, it is safe). If you are lucky, you can see the best natural fireworks at night.

We stayed at Hacienda Manteles as part of our tour of Ecuador with Gate 1 Travel. This place was incredible! My only complaint is that we weren't able to stay longer. The rooms inside the main Hacienda are quaint and charmingly rustic, and the newer suites are modern, airy and have AMAZING views. The photos attached to this review were... More

This hotel is way up in the mountains. I stayed here with a tour group. Not sure how people would get here otherwise. The hotel was very homey with a lovely common area in the main house and delicious meals. The rooms have large windows overlooking the mountains and, if you are lucky, the volcano. It was too cloudy to... More

Spent 1 night here as part of a group tour. No view due to the rain and clouds. It's high up the mountain and quite remote so going to town (Banos) was not an option. The food was good but nothing special.

Family owned hotel. Very friendly people. We cannot to wait to explore the place when we arrived there. The beautiful garden made me feel like we were in the Europe. We stayed the further newly building. We do not want to cover up the big glass window even at the night. View the live volcano from our room. It was... More
