If you are up to a 15 minute hike up the hill you will be rewarded with a spectacular view of Banos lights. The owners treated us like family and were very accommodating. They had a nice menu and one night after we ordered , Fredy disappeared....he had gone to town to get a missing ingredient!

We booked La Casa Amarilla when we arrived in Baños, although we could have read the fine print better. As we started to make our way up to the home, we were unsure how far up we needed to hike (about 20 minutes) and had to ask some locals for directions. The gardener ended up helping us find the place,... More

We stayed here for 2 nights. My husband was skeptical at first because from the town it looks really far up but once we got there he was quickly won over by the cozy room and the views. The owners were friendly and helpful but also gave us lots of privacy and space. Breakfast was filling and we were told... More

Hosts are helpful and nice. They don't speak English but it was no problem. Nice room, hot shower always available. Getting to the property is a 10-minute hike but the tranquility and view is worth it.

Location is amazing. With a view of Baños and the mountains around it, however for the price the rooms were ordinary and it is inconvenient to reach especially in the rain. The service and people were amazing and very helpful, always willing to help us come up or down and make sure we were comfortable.

Casa Amarilla is an excellent lodging option in Banos located in the woods just above the city. It´s a 10-15 minute walk uphill from the edge of the town and inaccessible by car. Service is great and the views are incredible, and it´s great being in such a peaceful location yet a short walk from the town. The fact that... More

Because of the fantastic references, we decided to go to Casa Amarillo. We had an heavy suitcase with us and expected that there was an horse to pick us up. But there was no horse at all. The woman is really nice but the room was not clean. The room too expensive for what you get. The view is very... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights during Carnaval. The views are outstanding. The owners were very nice. We had a mix up about the horses. The horses did not come for us and we had to carry our luggage up the hill. I was a little disgruntled by the time I got to the hotel entrance. The... More

Even though you have to hike over a mile up a STEEP hill, it is worth the effort, even with luggage. We were greeted with fresh squeezed lemonade. Casa Amarilla is a beautiful place perched above the city, the view is spectacular. We soaked in the hot tub with water from the waterfalls. Nice showers, nice beds and really nice... More

This place is fabulous!!! We traveled all over Ecuador and stayed in some really nice boutique places but we really enjoyed this place. We had no idea what to expect because they asked us if we wanted horses to meet us at the trail or if we wanted to walk up ourselves. Considering that this was our last place to... More
