Stopped for lunch and ended up spending the afternoon. Food was excellent and the hotel has a beautiful garden and pool area. Very nicely maintained and relaxing. It is a across the street from a small playground. Our 2 year old loved both the pool and the playground. Fast and free wi-fi made his play time productive for mom and... More

Antonio Gaudi meets the Whole Earth Catalog may describe some of the rooms at this hotel. The rooms are gracious in size with nice beds and several are alongside the rushing river which creates the dramatic Pailon Del Diablo waterfall. A garden courtyard contains a sumptuous garden of plants of the tropical rainforest including may types of orchids and bromeliads.... More

My husband and I accidentally missed our bus stop in Baños and ended up getting off the bus in Rio Verde and staying at Miramelindo Spa Hotel. It was the best "mistake" we made through our travels. Our room was clean, the food was delicious, rates were a little pricy but consistent with other places of same quality. Rip Verde... More

Eccentric decoration, in a great location outside of Baños. Incredibly friendly and massively helpful hosts. Big comfortable bedrooms. Good restaurant. Try the baños de cajón in the onsite spa. Highly recommended!

Excellent location, next to the river that creates Pailón del Diablo. Very short distance from this magnificent waterfall. Just walk down the river no more than few hundred yards. First-class accommodation, food, and service. Strongly recommended.

We stayed 2 nights here and enjoyed the wonderful cooking of the kitchen staff. Our room was spacious and comfortable although it had a bit of a musty smell when we first arrived in it. That was solved by opening the windows and letting the air flow through the room. We used the spa but I wouldn't go back just... More

After a serious mountain biking adventure we stopped here for lunch. We had a three course meal complete with a soup, entree and dessert. I had the potato soup and others had the fava bean soup - both were excellent and served with bread and a spicy salsa like topping. We all had different entrees - chicken, shrimp and pork... More

Place was comfortable, great weather, good space in the room, fair price considering the location. Breakfast was home made style. The service was good. Overall it is a nice place. We stayed there in our pass from Tena to Baños.

We wandered in after visiting the nearby falls on Río Lindo, and decided to move from the hubbub of Baños to this tranquil riverside establishment where rushing waters soothed us to sleep. Rooms are mostly large and all different, and there are personal artistic and quirky touches throughout. It's homey and charming rather than spiffy. Frequent local buses run to... More
