Javier is one of the best hosts I met during my travels. There is no reception at all as he lives upstairs and rent out apartments downstairs to tourists. When you get off from the taxi, you will already see him standing in front of the house waiting for you. If there is

I had just come off a 2 week expedition in Antarctica and wanted somewhere cosy to 'land'. My friends had found a hotel but I wasn't feeling it so I walked down the street and suddenly saw this beautiful house!! I went straight upstairs without knowing it was a B&B and knocked

We booked the apartment with private entrance, which is located only half a block from the main street, close to many restaurants and shopping. Despite having sent an email before we arrived, the owner had forgotten our reservations, but luckily was there, when we arrived, to

really nice owner, Javier, so available and kind. It is a sort of backpacker place, some rooms share a bathroom, and 2 apartments with private bathroom. The owner is a must, a real character, you feel at home immediately in his wooden and stone built little house on top of a

"I had the room under the stairs, I think #2 and I loved it"
"Private rooms"
"If going to Ushuaia, find a better place that has clean rooms and attentive staff. The room we stayed in was downstairs and was stuffy. There seem to be a shanty right outside the doorway."
"If you’ve never been to Ushuaia before, be prepared to pay a lot of money for meals and tours. For the tourism industry there, it’s pretty much like shooting fish in a barrel, since the tourists are at the end of the world with no choice but to pay. The people in the tour offices can be down right rude to you, like they don’t care whether or not they get your business. Worst customer service ever. So you might have to do a little shopping around to find a tour operator with a good staff."
"Ground floor rooms have own cooking facilities - top floor rooms have sensational views"
