We stayed 3 nights, paid 400 USD the first night, 670 the second and 400 the 3rd night. As the 2nd night was full online, I called the reservations and was told, I need to change the room 3 times. ok with me. I got the confirmation for a standard room @ 400 USD and 2 nights in a quadruple room for670 USD. Reservations told me that I need to accept the 2 nights @ 670, even though the 3rd night had standard rooms available @ 390 USD. As it was one day before, I accepted. When there,I insisted to change from a quadruple room to a normal room as we were a couple only. Answer was: can not. After insisting, they accepted and granted me a credit, which was less than the price difference. Never mind. I accepted. Upon reservation, I guaranteed with credit card 1700 USD for3 nights and at Check in, I had to pay the full amunt in cash. Every consumption in the hotel, they run behind you to sign the bill. After the 2nd night I vacated the room at 10 am and was refused to change into the other stansard room. The new room was ready and clean, I was allowed to put my valuables into the safe, but refused to get the keys. Madam at FO told me, that check in is at 2 pm and room needs to be vacuumed. I told them,, not to vacuum and that i would not check in but room change only. This was not accepted. Another funny story we experienced in the hotel bus. A hotel customer was refused to take the shuttle from down town to the hotel, because he dared to have a snow board with him. He was kicked out of the bus and had to take taxi. The bus was empty... Rooms have chipped furniture, the Concierge is in fact a travel agent and sells only his products. When back in Buenos Aires, I inquired the hotel management situation: Result is that the management, sales, marketing works in Buenos Aires and the hotel down in Ushuaia is run by supervisors only. With an an average of 500 USD a night, definitely not acceptable. I recommend you the Hotel Albatros downtown. Right in the center but not the stunning views of Los Cauquenes. The views are the only reason, why you should choose this hotel…
This resort and spa has it all! Large room with top notch bedding and bathroom. The view from our room was exceptional. The staff is extremely helpful. The pools, Jacuzzi and spa was first rate. Shuttle airport pickup and drop off with regular trips to town, 15 minutes away. The restaurants and wine bar had delicious food and wine. Felt like I was in a Vail CO resort. 5 stars
Great two day stay. Beutifull alpine ski lodge style hotel. Comfotrable rooms with tubs. TV has inaccesable USB slot, but you can screen vast to it Good buffet style breakfast with on demand fried eggs or omelet (scrambled put out). Shuttle bus into Ushaia on the hour (ish). Pick up from town on the half hour. No bus at 8.30 or 9.30 pm. Pool, sauna and gym. Helpful polite staff.
Great hotel in Ushuaia with amazing views over the Beagle channel which can be enjoyed not only from the rooms but also from the lobby, restaurant and living room, and SPA, and excellent service delivered by extra kind staff.
I spent 3 beautiful days with siblings in this confortable hotel located in a nice spot overlooking the Beagle channel. The staff is very efficient and knowledgeable willing to make you feel good. I enjoyed the spa although it is kind of small. Bed and pillows very confortable for me, and I loved the shower!.
Pros: - Amazing views over Beagel Channel - Authentic hotel well integrated into the nature Cons: - Be extremely careful with “taxis” called by the hotel they will charge more than twice the normal price - Excursion cancelled less then 24h before (although confirmed during check-in) - officially for “weather conditions” (but perfect weather this day) - Extremely slow wifi - Not restful rooms (noisy, heating very high…)
The hotel is set in a great area of Ushuaia. Reserve rooms with a view, the others are still very expensive but are small, dark and exposed to a lot of noise from the street. I couldn't wait to get out of the room in the morning. The common area in the hotel are very good. The spa is nothing like you see in the photos on line. It is small and not specially welcoming. The food is great. The service is wonderful. Every single staff member is knowledgeable, kind and eager to help. That kind of attitude is not easy to find!
We stayed in this hotel for a few days to discover Ushuaia, hotel is confortable and staff is efficient. They have a pool outside and a small Spa. Rooms are a bit old fashioned and need to be renovated, also the hotel is not within walking distance from city centre but shuttle bus is organized by the hotel. They also pick you up at the airport. We tried to book a rate with all activities included but it was not possible to organize them so they refunded us. Overall good stay but we were a bit disappointed by the city Ushuaia it self
It was a beautiful stay! I would definitely return and highly recommend to stay here. The views are specular and breath taking. The staff are all attentive at the hotel and make your stay enjoyable. You have everything at your fingertips.
GREAT! They picked us up at the hotel on time and the driver wanted to stop and take a photo of us. At check-in, they gave us hot chocolate. The hotel itself is gorgeous -- everything is picture worthy. We loved our room and splurged on the room with a view. We visited in February and we felt like the outside looked tropical, almost like Hawaii; which is surprising for being at the end of the world. The staff was 10/10 and the restaurant is REALLY good. My husband is sin-tacc / gluten free and they really catered to him. If you're wondering if you should stay here, stop thinking and just do it. It made our entire trip to Ushuaia so, so special.
