The place is not that far from the main street and taxis aren't expensive. The aparts are spacious and have everything you need for your stay. The manager/owner Gustavo is a great guy and was extremely helpful with our family. If you are planning on going to Ushuaia definitely consider Patagonia Sur. It felt like a home away from home! Thanks from Mexico!

This apart-hotel is located ~ 10 min by car from the city center, ~ 35 pesos by Taxi. We got the 2 bedroom apartment, full kitchen, (small but functional), large bathroom upstairs and toilet downstairs. The place is clean and comfy, good place to come back to after a day of sightseeing and trekking. The manager, Gustavo, is very helpful and friendly. He even gave us a lift and a tour of the city on our day of arrival, recommended trips and places to eat. He was not there all the time but reachable by phone if needed, and when we were there his front-desk staff was on vacation, so I guess that in normal times there is someone there to answer questions and help as needed. The apartment has radiating floors, and the place is warm. We had to turn it down as it was REALLY hot, and it was snowing outside... You also get free wi-fi, free coffee, clean towels and daily cleaning, including washing of the breakfast dishes. We rented a car from Gustavo, with a discount for the guests of the apart-hotel (he has a car rental place in town). Very convenient and economical if you have 4 people like we did. There is a large supermarket 2 blocks away, with everything you will need, open till 10:30pm during the week. This place is highly recommended if you do not need to be within walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Very convenient for a family or 2 couples that can share an apartment (like we did).

Although a little out from the centre of town, this apart hotel is on the way to the Tierro del Fuego national park. It costs $3AR by bus to the centre of town. It is also about 45 mins walk. Gustavo the owner is very helpful and his staff are wonderful. It is close to the supermarket and if you don't mind being out of the hustle and bustle then this is the place. The apartment has a great bath and plenty of room to lounge around.

Nice and spacious apartment. The owner is really friendly. It's a bit far from the center you need to take the bus (every 20 minutes from 5am to midnight or a taxi).

Really enjoyed our stay here. Quiet, clean place with lots of amenities, including freshly baked bread-very tasty!! This hotel is outside of the city center but taxis are plentiful if you head out the door and walk towards town. Gustavo, the owner, also rents vehicles but we are walkers so we walked everywhere and took in the gorgeous scenery on our way into the city center. Thank you Gustavo for a wonderful place to stay!

We are just back from Ushuaia and no doubt our stay at the Patagonia Sur enhanced our trip. Everything was spotless and the self-contained apartments are really nice, spacious, clean, quiet and great value for money (US$ 80 a night). The owner Gustavo is really helpful and friendly and gives you great tips on Ushuaia. Although the hotel is not in the city center, walking there or taking a bus/cab is a breeze. It´s definitely worth combining your stay at the Patagonia Sur with their car rental. You can do as you please, visit the sites around Ushuaia without the hassles of taking tours, and end up spending less. Everything combined (hotel stay + car rental) we spent US$ 130,00 a day. If you do rent a car, save one whole day to visit the Tierra del Fuego National Park, a great spot for hikers and nature lovers. It´s definitely the place to go in Ushuaia. Thank you Gustavo and his team for the lovely stay and acojida.

Excellent, spacious and spotlessly clean apartments, providing everything you could want from an apartment, plus free wifi and homemade bread for breakfast! The owner could not have been more helpful, or done any more to make our stay better; even went out of his way to sort out a mechanical problem with one of our bikes!! Very very highly recommended.
