First of all the location is far away from Ushuaia centre. There is absolutely no phone network. To make a long story short, we checked in and out without staying a night (we were 4 ppl, had booked 3 nights) due to: old rooms with dirt on walls and the old woolen bed covers, inexistant service, horrible Restaurant experience (after... Dear any_1010, Thank you for leaving your comment. We have already answered for the same stay to another (not) stay companion in early October last year. Unfortunately if you make a purchase and paid through an agency or Internet portal should seek reimbursement through them , the hotel cannot return the money directly. Best regards, Gaston Cardoso Manager More

I booked 2 nights through Booking and I did not even thought of checking if they had wifi service as I can't believe nowadays a hotel would not have it, but they do not, and it is explained in the Booking.com site but I did not see it. When I arrived there, it is around 20 minutes from Ushuaia downtown... More

Dear Violinbariloche, Thank you for leaving your comment on our hotel. As you say, our hotel does not have internet service and with very little mobile phone signal . We are looking for alternatives for connectivity but we also believe that our surroundings benefits us to disconnect and relax. The conventional network services that we have are natural gas and... The view from the restaurant into the valley is great. Breakfast is standard for Argentinia, fruit salad, coffee and hot choclate were very good. The room is oldfashioned, but clean. One of the windows was not closing completely, so we had to improve a little bit, which was not really a problem. The staff is very friendly, all of them... More

perhaps one of the worst hotels I have ever seen. Not only it is the furthest hotel from the city, it has no internet nor mobile signal. That could be a positive thing if there were things to do there. there is no tv in the rooms and the restaurant is dreadful. rooms were dirty and cold. the so called... More

Dear vgat0 , Thank you for leaving your review of our hotel. As you said we are one of the most remote city hotels located in one of the slopes of Monte Olivia , the highest peak of all the mountains of Ushuaia and Rio Olivia front . , Just 15 minutes from downtown Ushuaia. For our location the cell... More

We paid for 4 nights at the hotel and left in less than 45 minutes loosing money but not being afraid that we would be bitten by a bug while sleeping. Other than the view, the hotel is a rip off. The rooms are dirty and the hotel and room carpet have not been cleaned in over two decades. The... More

The bedrrom was ok, the breakfast was exactely the same every day and frequently we had to ask for basic things that were missing, on the other hand, the dinner at the restaurant (this was not included at the price for the room) was very, very good!!! I had to use the laundry services and it was good. The staff... More

First of all the distance from the center of Ushuaia is on everything web site a lie : it is at 12.9 km from the center with no sufficient shuttle.... So it Will take you about 20 25 minutes to get to the center... When the hôtel pretends to be at 5 or 6 km it is not acceptable The... More

My wife and I stayed one night. The place is just fine and set up in the mountains in a pretty area, but it is a 10 minute cab ride out of town. The room was average, staff friendly, and we were satisfied, but with it being so far out and having no internet we opted to move to other... More

I would certainly agree with other reviews about the Australis Kauyeken Hotel. This is the worst hotel that we stayed in when traveling around Argentina. The rooms were dated and in serious need of refurbishment. I also think that the cleaning standards were questionable. The staff seemed friendly enough but as I was with a Spanish speaker I was not... More

We stayed there for 2 nights during our visit to Ushuaia. -> It is really far from Ushuaia. If you don't have a car, you will have to pay 30pesos/ride for taxi. The hotel has a bus that takes you to/from the town but it is scheduled every 3 hours and at very inconvenient times. -> The building is old... More
