I stayed in a 4 bed and 6 bed room over 10 days. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Ask them any questions you have about what to do and how to do it and they'll tell you how, how much, at what time, what to bring, etc. The rooms are normally comfortable. The kitchen area is a little... More

Stayed in this hostel in 2015 because hostel anatartica was completely booked. Small and clean but rooms are not so great.Only advantage of staying here is that this place is in centre and everything(pub, restaurant) etc are at walking distance.Didnt like breakfast either.Overall experience was neither good nor bad...an average place giving an average experience.

Maybe it's just because it's the end of the season that the staff don't seem to be bothered and the cleaners have gone home. Kitchen is locked between 10pm and 8.30am. Breakfast is served at 8.30am, no earlier. If you need to leave earlier than this and have food that you want to keep and take with you, you will... More

This was the second time I stayed at this hostel in a year, and I returned because of the kind and considerate fellow travellers and the staff...it felt like home. Yes there are things you may not like about living at home, especially the rules but without them there is chaos. The hostel has a wide range of reviews from... More

During our trip, we first stayed at Antartica hostel in Ushuaia, followed by Cruz del Sur two weeks later. Unfortunately the later one is definitely not the one we prefer. The hostel is not entirely bad, it is on a suitable location, one block from the centrum (like most hostels in a tiny city of Ushuaia), is clean and it... More

We stayed twice at this hostel, location is very good, staff is very helpfull, nice dorms and all their facilities in general. Only thing is that It can have too many rules for guests, but well behind every rule there is a story. Highly recommended

I stayed in the 8-bed dorm which is in another building than the rest of the facilities which means that you always have to get outside when you want to use the bathroom. The bigger problem was the temperature in the dorm though. During the day it's SUPER hot when you stay in one of the top bunk beds. It's... More

We stayed there for two night. The room was ok but a bit too small for 6 people. After 10 o'clock nobody from the hostel staff was around and we didn't saw anybody in the morning when we left to catch our bus back to Punta Arenas. If you need to leave the hostel early there is no breakfast for... More

I've been travelling for 6 months through central and south america and I've never come across a hostel with so many rules. Rule 1. When we walked in the door I was asked to take off my shoes immediately. Sandles, flip flops and crocs are allowed but shoes are not....I understand why hiking boots are not allowed as there is... This hostel has gained mixed reviews with some people complaining about the amount of rules. In my opinion, all the rules they have are just basic and common rules to anyone with common sense. I actually find it good that they put them on the walls since you will always find some selfish and ignorant people lacking basic common sense...... More
