Not a 4 star hotel, put us in the wrong room viewing a fence / construction site. Rooms were stuffy and very out of date. Did very little to rectify the situation. Don't believe the pictures you see on the website. Would recommended staying elsewhere in calafate

My friend and I stayed two nights. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and they had a great breakfast with a lot of variety and delicious sweets! The staff was very helpful and accommodating. I liked that we were able to order pre-made lunches for our excursion. It was a short walk down a hill to the main... More

We got a last minute deal on this hotel with a great rate via booking.com. When we arrived the staff upgraded us to an even nicer room - Lago Argentino. We had just finished off two week-long backpacking trips in other parts of Southern Patagonia and spent most of the day lounging around the room, which was incredibly comfortable and... More

We enjoyed our stay here. We found it hard to get a room for four (two kids ages three and five) and had a bit of a muck up with our reservation (due to language barrier). However they were still very accomodating and we enjoyed our stay. Our boys loved the Argentinian breakfast with savoury good and an array of... More

This hotel could be managed so much better. It misrepresents itself as a boutique hotel - that is very far from the truth. The hotel feels more like a hostel. Rooms are a decent size but amenities are poor. No one managed to get onto the internet while we were there. Location wise, the hotel is on an unpaved gravel... More

We stayed at La Cantera for 3 nights during our honeymoon, from the images on the website we had expected a bit more from the location, it's set at the top of the hill about a 15min walk out of town, overlooks a lot of property & is beside a very noisy & busy roundabout with a lot of large... The rooms are very beautiful and very clean. You don't hear a thing at night. And the restaurant is very good. The staff is friendly and their english is good. Also to chill out after an excursion the bar is a very good place and they have very nice beer.

I stayed here as part of a holiday in Patagonia and Antarctica arranged by Pura Aventura. The hotel is slightly out of town and uphill but this means that there are great views from the windows. The rooms were nice and clean and the staff friendly and helpful. I had dinner there on the first night and this was good.... More

Rooms were nice, but outside because of construction in the area it was quite dusty. Also the stairs to access the lobby and dining area were very open and wide apart - a concern if traveling with a young child. Breakfast was nice, staff friendly - not always very knowledgeable. Rooms comfortable and clean. Hotel hired a driver on our... More

We just stayed at this hotel last week and couldn't have been more pleased. The hotel itself has a cozy feel, with a great view. There is a restaurant on the premises that serves meals (including a free breakfast that we enjoyed) and snacks and provides box lunches (for a fee) for your excursions. The rooms are very large, and... More
