We stayed here twice on our trip to the area and really enjoyed the hotel. It is four blocks up from the main street of town on the hill side. It has nice views of the lake. Hotel is quite, very nice rooms and common areas, great restaurant and very helpful staff. The people at front desk speak good English...

We stayed here for two nights. The hotel is up the hill from the main drag of El Calafate, which suits us. We had a lovely room on the reception level. It was a good size and clean and comfortable. One small point, we were just through from the reception area and we could hear the telephones ringing, staff chatting...

This hotel is not in the thick of things in El Calafate, but honestly that was for the better. There's not a tremendous amount going on in town where you need to be right there. Plus there is a shuttle that goes back and forth from La Cantera to the town center. The rooms were very nice and the service...

The online images looked great and although we had previously stayed in another hotel in El Calafate that we were 'happy' with we thought we would get a taste for another hotel here on our return, as a comparison, especially as this one mentioned that it was 'boutique hotel'. Well, on arrival we were already disappointed. As a previous reviewer...

I stayed at three hotels in calafate and liked this one the best. The rooms were spacious, breakfast was full some, and bathroom was fine. I loved the hotel layout with a green space between the two half's and a great view of the city.

Stayed here for two nights for the purpose of visiting the the Perito Moreno glacier, as I suspect most visitors do. La Cantera is located well above the town and enables the visitor to enjoy the views across the Lake. We had time to walk down to the Lake and the nature reserve but it was a bit of a...

It is far away from town and feels less than cared for to me - Employees seemed not to care much either. Rooms are big and bathrooms nice. But the walk to the town is a drag over rough, busy roads. The van doesn't help much and we found ourselves taking cabs - I think there are better options in...

Dear Guest The hotel is located 6 blocks from the main avenue, we have a free shuttle service to the city center that runs from 19.30 to 23.30. This service is highly valued by our guests because it prevents anyone who does not want to walk to the center, have mobility to do so, sometimes you have to wait the...

I made a reservation through Booking.com in October last year, for staying this February. Booking.com stated it is USD550, tax is excluded. The hotel charged my credit card, USD925,8. As soon as I found out about being overcharged, I emailed the hotel about overcharge. The hotel sent me an email asking for the way to refund, cash or credit card....

Stayed here over Christmas for 2 night before doing the big ice hike. The rooms where very comfortable with a great hot tub. Breakfast was very complete with lots of options. They offer a bagged lunch if you are doing any of the excursions that El Calafate is known for. The lunch was excellent and came in a backpack to...

We stayed here on the third week into our trip travelling around South America and I thought the place was a little gem. The views are stunning, the rooms are big and spacious with really comfortable beds. The staff could not have been more lovely, charming and helpful. The breakfast is a really good selection to suit both sweet and...
