Based on ratings we went for this place. Unfortunately, the room had a stained dusty carpet. There were hairs in the bathroom and dust everywhere. This room was not properly cleaned in a long time. The inner courtyard/ garden, was also a big mess. It does not take much to organize a bit. (And the stuff laying around was not...

the Hosteria is situated a little further (a 20 minutes walk) from the center making it a very quiet and relaxing place to stay. the staff is very nice and helpful. they information provided by them upfront of our stay enabled us to exactly plan our stay in regards of the trekking tours, the lunch boxes (organized by the staff)...

When we first arrived here our hopes weren't high as we were probably given the least desirable room (first one off the lobby) and had just come from a luxury "yurt camp". But the people who work here were so lovely to us that the place itself seemed less important. It was clean and everything worked so it met our...

Robel Sur is located on the edge of El Calafate in a new development which has unfinished houses, empty sites and unpaved roads. Across from the hotel a new house is in course of construction. It is about a 15 minute walk into town but the walk back was steep in places although neither was a problem for us. Dogs...

We stayed here for 2 night and overall had a good experience. Owner: was very helpful and patient and helped organise our 1 1/2 day tour and was always there to answer questions for us. She recommended a few local restaurants which were fine. Accommodation: this was very spacious and all the amenities were available in the room, we have...

Kindly staff and comfortable room and amenities. But I had blackout frequently and it takes about 30 minutes from downtown. WiFi was not stable, I never connected internet during staying. It is not so good view considering far from downtown. Moreover, many dogs are there near the hotel, and I was always baked and chased by them when I was...

We stayed here for two nights. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. The views from the room are of the lake and mountains which is nicer than being in town. The wall to town is about 10mins downhill and a taxi back about 35 peso. The rooms are large, wifi coverage excellent and bathrooms spacious with...

This little family run hostel was perfectly decorated and placed a 15 minute walk (or 40 Argentinian Peso taxi ride) away from the main town. There was good wifi connection and we were able to book all our tours from reception, with well guided advice. Whilst the menu was limited, the food was very good quality. This was particularly good,...

Nice and comfortable hotel, warm welcome from the owners (who were fully available to answer our questions and provide tips on the region and activities), very clean and large rooms. Add a huge breakfast To that and you get a great price-to-value ratio! The hotel is well-located, within walking distance of the center. Free transfer to the airport is also...

Roble Sur was fantastic. It is very clean and comfortable and the hosts are very accomodating. They got up early to serve us breakfast before we went to see the Glacier. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from downtown but it's actually better to be a bit outside of the city center. For one, you get a gorgeous view of...
