For the record, we made the most of our time here and had a great stay in El Calafate. How small: figure out 1 meter (3 feet) on 3 sides of a queen size bed to move around, with a very small and rudimentary bathroom. Totally unacceptable except for young backpackers on a strict budget. very nice decoration, countryside vibe. excelent staff. excelent restaurant for 1 dinner. nice breakfast. good location, walking distance from downtown. overall very nice. the only thing is that the building is old. despite very well maintained, sound isolation is very poor and room size is small.
